  1. Past hour
  2. This is one of the biggest issues, and speaks to Evero in general. He's so reluctant or outright unwilling to change his scheme and it's probably his downfall as a coach now and in the future. At the end of the day, put your best guy on their best guy. If they win, so be it. But you can't look back and say damn, what could we have done differently?
  3. The Hornets need to draft better and develop better, there is no doubt about that, but saying the solution is to simply crystal ball who will be the best players each draft and then also have those players be available at wherever you’re picking is beyond silly. SGA and Giannis were drafted in the teens. Jokic was a second rounder. If it was as simple as the teams that drafted them knew they would be superstars and we didn’t, then the teams that drafted them would have traded up as high as they could to get those players and not wait until the teens or second round. If it’s as simple as the teams that drafted them are just god tier developers, then why do they fail developing other players just like everybody else? Golden State are known as great drafters and developers, yet they took Wiseman at 2 over Lamelo and that was clearly the wrong decision. The Hornets would have probably taken Wiseman at 2 as well. There were 11 players taken before Haliburton that draft, he wasn’t even in play with the 3rd pick. The Thunder would have probably taken Oden at 1 if they had 1, instead of Durant at 2. There’s an element of luck to all this that the Hornets clearly lack, and to have the lotto rigged on top of it all is just a slap in the face. Do you really think Durant would have busted on the Hornets? Or Anthony Davis or Wemby? I don’t, but unfortunately we’ll never know because the league doesn’t let those players get drafted here. Honestly, the Hornets have done pretty decent the past few drafts. Whatever problems they have had with injury and otherwise, Lamelo, Williams, Miller, and Bridges have all shown when on the court to be worthy of their draft position. The biggest and dumbest thing they’ve done recently (and it is like Mount Rushmore of stupid moves) was when they traded Jalen Duren for a bunch of second round picks because they thought the roster was too full of talent. Like what the actual fug. I’ll never get over that one.
  4. It's the NFL. And Tmac wasn't a great separator in a weak college conference. Seems pretty reasonable to think he will take some time to develop playing on the outside in the NFL. See our last big body outside WR that could get open in the SEC. My take on Bryce has NEVER changed. Bryce is best suited to take advantage of the slot, backfield, etc. It's a quick pass game. We recognized the quick PG aspect of his game but never put that into motion. Big body downfield WRs on the outside are NOT his natural go to guys. And there is a reason a completely washed up AT is our best weapon operating out of the slot. and I said the same thing about drafting XL. Square peg/round hole w/ Bryce. But I wanted XL because I assumed like most the Bryce experiment ended. Canales is building a downfield chunk passing roster.....which pairs with his Seattle/Tampa times. None of this talk is new. Bryce throws shorter than anyone in the NFL (did it last year).
  5. Nine to Eleven Wins. Bank on it.
  6. I mean, outside of 1 game.....I can't recall Horn ever traveling in his entire career here. And most teams aren't rolling with a 1a and 1b playing opposite each other. To me, I'd throw Travis Hunter in the slot in the NFL. So yeah, if he doesn't travel w/ Thomas Jr......then he is going to see tons of reps on their other guys (like he does most games).
  7. Currently in season 1 and if season 2 is even better like I have heard I am excited.
  8. it's not ideal, unless you are going to be heading into the playoffs.
  9. What signs are pointing to T-Mac having a developmental window? If anything, it's literally the opposite. He's one of the more accomplished and polished WRs to come out of college in a long time. Not many players have 3 years of production like he had and then enter the draft early. Yes, there are things he needs to improve, just like every rookie, but he is NOTHING like XL in terms of needing a developmental season, literally couldn't be more different of situations. I've also pointed out how T-Mac and Bryce are actually very much a natural pairing for each other. Bryce is a touch passer who throws with anticipation because he doesn't have the rifle to squeeze into tight windows when they are there. Which pairs perfectly with T-Mac's hands and catch radius as Bryce will be able to place the ball where only he can get his hands on the ball. What a terrible take
  10. Looking ahead to our 2025 Week 12 matchup against the 49ers, I can’t help but draw some parallels to a game that’s etched in my mind: Week 11 of the 2013 season, when Cam Newton absolutely balled out against the New England Patriots. That game felt like a turning point for Cam’s career and, honestly, for the whole franchise. It announced to the world that Cam was here, and that the Panthers were here to be a contender (for 5 years at least) The way Cam not only led us to a win but also announced to the world that he was THE QB of the future for the Panthers was unforgettable, and is still my favorite game ever. Now, with Bryce Young coming into his third season, there’s a lot of pressure on him to make that same kind of statement. Could Week 12 in 2025 be his Cam moment, where he finally breaks out to the world? Or could it be the game where BY officially flames out as a Panthers QB, and we're looking ahead to the 2026 draft?
  11. If a team with BTJ and Hunter are able to get Dyami Brown to be matched up with our top CB just with where they line them up and we're not able to adjust on the fly, then Evero should be fired before the game is even over.
  12. Dang, Belichick's girl making moves. Good signing by her.
  13. Nobody has a problem with that bye week essentially being at the end of the season?
  14. Anyone that watched XL in college knows he had good hands and would regularly go up and come down with 50/50 balls. He got thrown in as a rookie and struggled along with dealing with a wrist injury. I am hopeful the injury was part of the problem and he can use his size, strength and speed to become a solid part of our rotation.
  15. They are the highest they can be right now. I usually buy them a few weeks before or even gameday morning
  16. room for growth? sure. but you were just a weeeeeeee bit exaggerating. but if you were serious about all that? "Okay bud"
  17. He was weighed at the combine at 219 officially. If you are getting that 4.6 number from his pro day he was also measured in the 4.4s by different scouts. Regardless he is the same build and speed currently as Tee and Drake if you want to run with the 4.6.
  18. Horn doesn't generally travel so the Jags could get him on Dyami Brown.... Horn should be on Thomas Jr 100% of the snaps IMO. That's what he is paid to do.
  19. I'd wait. Nosebleeds won't be 200 later. and after glancing at tickets online just to see.....man, the fees all these ticket companies add on are criminal. Whatever the ticket would cost gets ballooned like crazy. I miss the old days where you just bought them off a dude outside the stadium.
  20. Well two things, first is that it wasn't just about seeing a good matchup, it was getting the college matchup re-match between the two of them and current Top 10 picks. And second, I doubt we see all too much of Jaycee vs Hunter either, I'd think we'd be more likely to have Jaycee on BTJ more often than the rookie in his first game.
