The happiest time for any Panther is when they get traded. lol

Everything revolves around Bryce This Year
BrewerHouseBeer replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Morgan and Canales should get a chance to draft their own QB. I just hope this franchise is ready to make a difficult decision on Bryce if he has a mediocre season. I worry If we win 6-8 games but Bryce looks like a low to mid QB, we will call it improvement and extend him. I would hope we move on from him and try something new, if he's not a top 10 QB this season. -
He was running an out and setting it up how he does it. That's literally his game. It's not debatable Renfrow was running an out. The QB threw a slant. Now, if you want to argue the hospital ball throwing, really bad QB who wouldn't land on any PS in the NFL isn't at fault? and the savvy Renfrow was out there running the wrong routes? I mean, you can argue that. Seems to me the most likely answer is instead of Renfrow just fooling the DB, he also duped the really bad QB. It's not mental gymnastics to say the painfully bad organization is on a record run of bad decisions.....is once again, making bad decisions. That's just taking the layup approach. Renfrow was pretty vocal about what he was doing with the comeback attempt. It was a Carolina specific venture he was taking on because of the location. He isn't looking to bounce around the NFL and play outside of Carolina. Renfrow clear as day is a better player than dudes they kept. If it was just about WR talent. But as I have repeatedly said after thinking about it for a day....Renfrow simply has no home in Dave Canales' offensive scheme. He is a niche player. And Dave isn't going to play that style of football. Hunter's quirky get open quick niche isn't part of Dave's O. Run, run, chunk play downfield is Dave's O. His entire tree is clear of how to play offense. Hunter Renfrow can cook Jaycee Horn all week on those short routes......Dave isn't calling an O that features what Hunter does.

Hopefully not that bad, but we'll know by week 4. -
Last time our QB was forced to not have tunnel vision and use all their assets, it really helped his development... This is a win for development and compensation for a WR apast their best days. This is a big deal for JJ McCarthy too, so many reliable WRs there.

I don’t like this move for Bryce, but you can’t pass up a 4th round pick. Hopefully the younger guys are ready.

The standards of this team have fallen like a rock, if the qb throws for 150 yards and a td a game thats basically a panthers hall of famer in recent panthers world with any wins at all amazing. With all that being said AT did have like 75% of all the panthers receiving yards since he has been here, hopefully some of the other wrs step up.

All 3 are listed on the (now official) depth chart as starters.

Based on your past comments, I don't think there's a QB alive on the planet that would be suitable to you lol -
Bryce had tunnel vision with thielen. Removing it forces Bryce to look for the open wr not for where theilen is on the field.

Didn't he miss a week or so of work? Availability is the best ability. Seems like every year there is a comeback story that never goes anywhere. Cohen was last season's version I think.

I love Sellers and his skill set and highlight reel is nuts but that said he needs a lot of work -
They, like the rest of us, know what's about to go down in 11 days.
-
I dont disagree but this season is more about BY then the WR. The runway is running out for him to show if we should make a commitment and AT is the most direct and shortest line in finding out.

Maybe we are going to run a 5-0-6 defense -
This also shows that they are really high on the young ins at WR and want to give them the opportunity to mature on the field instead of sideline mental reps.

I hope Renfrew comes back, but I doubt he does unless he doesn't have other offers. Kind of seems bush league to cut a guy and then try to get him back, but this is the Panthers. I suspect Renfrew isn't as great as us fans think because the people that watch him every day thought he was the 8th best WR on this team.

Yep, and if Bryce was Bryce, unfortunately he'd still be Bryce.
