The numbers are in and ooh-boy the NFL took a beating. The alternative halftime show did much better.

The biggest thing was just continuing to run straight vanilla drop back passing plays instead of putting your mobile QB on the move to get him away from the immediate pressure your rookie LT is giving up on nearly every snap.

He had a good game. Playing his ass off would've resulted in him having 35 points and 10 rebounds. He literally didn't touch the ball in an impactful way for the first 10 minutes of the game He's an amazing player, but there is no debating that he doesn't have that "Rasheed" in him. Some of it is our coaching staff, but a lot of it is Caleb. If you're going to lead the team out of the tunnel, lead them when you're on the court too. He's the best player in college basketball. If someone helps him realize it's OK to be an asshole for 2 hours a day in practice and games, we'll win the national championship.

Yeah mcdaniels not going with henderson until so late was wild. Imo he was the best option NE had back there to break loose for chunk plays and they didn't try him much at all. Drake had some misses in the 1st half, so maybe some of mcdaniels thinking was Drake needs to hit the throws Seattle gave him. Seattle wanted to make you string a bunch of throws together to score, Stafford and Co could do that, Drake and co didn't.

We'll see. It's not looking good for him right now, but I know if you actually watch the tape XL is getting himself wide open very frequently. Like more than anyone on the team. That's the hardest thing to do as a receiver. The other things come with timing and repetition, which neither Bryce nor XL have managed to establish with each other.

He has a shitty attitude and a poor work ethic. The chemistry is off because he isn't trying to establish chemistry with Bryce. He has had plenty of balls hit him in the hands and he just drops it and getting "cold" is possible for a series or maybe a game. He was that way the whole season. That's on him. Cam called XL out before the season started with the workout videos he was putting out. Said he didn't care about the grunting and the routes on air. He asked if he could be reliable. And he hasn't been.

Inconsistent QB play would have nothing to do with a WR's performance. Cam says in the interview he went to Greg Olsen, not the other way around. Olsen let him know when he was open, where to pick spots, and when to make tight throws. Everyone picks a player to dump on and XL is in the crosshairs. Also, it is hilarious how people are always said to be so tired of the same canned, rehearsed, and polished answers during interviews. Then when anyone interviews any different here comes the public relations team. Cam put him up on some true game. Hopefully he absorbs it and uses it to become a WR that helps us consistently.

The Pats have a big conundrum with Will Campbell. Unless he was dealing with a seriously limiting injury issue in the playoffs he ain't an NFL LT. The Pats gave up 29 QB pressures in the playoffs, the most ever. Will Campbell gave up 14 pressures last night, the most by any OL in any game this season and the most in a playoff game in nearly a decade. To put that in perspective, Mike Remmers was credited with 7 pressures allowed in SB50. He might have to kick inside to OG.

Well, the next big thing in the NFL cycle is free agency. Here's some key dates to keep in mind. February 17th: deadline for transition and franchise tags March 9th: legal "tampering" period where teams can legally begin negotiating with free agents. We'll know where a lot of the major targets are heading before free agency technically begins. March 11th: start of the new league year and official kickoff of free agency

I think the best case scenario is him missing a significant part of 2026 season. The Coons are going to hate watching the Rams pick at 13 with so many studs with no character issues available.

Ocho seems extremely confident that XL has the tools. I agree. I still maintain that Bryce is making Legette look bad. Just watch the tape. His ball placement when throwing to Legette is abhorrent. They have no chemistry. It's on the QB to establish timing and he has yet to do so with XL. Receivers get "cold", and that's happened to Legette a few times where when he finally gets a decent ball thrown his way and he drops it. It's not an excuse per se, but it's very much the reality. I've seen the best WRs in the league suffer the same fate when they aren't able to establish a rhythm. If Bryce and XL sort out their timing, Legette is legitimately the most dangerous player on the team.

I find it funny he is better that catching raccoons vs footballs

Luke and Cam were both victims of a team that utterly disregarded investing in an offense. Kuechly had to play with his hair on fire nonstop because the offense couldn't put up points. Our time of possession was right around 30 minutes on average, which was the lower middle of the pack for that era, and really bad for a team that was supposedly built for ball control. Kuechly had some hard miles racked up on him as a result, and it cut his career short. They consistently failed to invest in Cam Newton. It wasn't until he was already battered and beaten that they decided to start drafting weapons for him. He would still be the QB of this team had it not been for the leadership hanging him out to dry immediately after drafting him. We fielded one of the most pathetic OL groups and receiving corps in the game for almost a decade. Cam Newton was genuinely a force of nature to have achieved what he did with that offensive roster. In short, two of the very best (possibly THE two best) players in franchise history were victims of a draft strategy that blindly focused on defense (with several very bad misses), and tried to patchwork the offense year after year. If we'd simply invested a bit in the offensive line I believe the core we had could have competed for and won a championship or two.

He can't throw the ball to himself...there's been mistakes for sure. There's also been plays where he's open and Bryce just doesn't get it to him. Check the 22, and Legette's production with 14. The potential is there.

Ita wild the Falcons drafted him in the 1st round with these serious concerns. I mean, Hardy fell all the way to the 6th largely because of similar concerns. At some point in the draft it's tempting to take a shot on the talent. 6th round? Okay, I get it. You're in the throwing darts at the board portion of the draft at that point. 1st round? Oof.

They are letting people walk for some crazy stuff these days. He can hire a badass defense attorney and go judge shopping, you just never know. NFL has to do something strong though. This to me, is every bit as bad as Hardy allegedly shoving his girlfriend on a bed that had a rifle or some kind of gun on it. People went crazy over that. This is at least on that level. At least.

What an absolute bizarro year of football. The Indiana Hoosiers win the college national championship and Vanderbilt was a borderline playoff team. Sam Darnold is now a Super Bowl winning QB while the Chiefs and Ravens miss the playoffs and the Panthers were division winners. John Harbaugh fired and Mike Tomlin forced out. Bill Belichick can barely win a game and Josh McDaniels is the new Mike Shula. What in the world... LOL
