4-3 isn't fixing our problem. We have no 4-3 DEs and Scourton and Princely were basically wasted picks if we go back to a 4-3. The problem isn't the alignment, the problem is we don't have NFL caliber LBs and our DC is trash.

True but that's not saying much. I haven't seen anyone who jumps off the screen at QB. Mendoza has his moments but rarely has to beyond his first read. Sellers is a physical freak, but hasn't played like it. Nussmeier looks good against college defenses but doesn't exactly tick all the physical boxes himself. A taller Bryce Young? Dante Moore looks like a good college QB surrounded by a lot of talent who will be overwhelmed in the pros. Drew Allar... very similar to Sellers. Has the physical tools but doesn't always play like it. Carson Beck is erratic as hell, even if he also has many of the traits you look for. If I HAD to use a 1st round pick on one of those guys it's going to be Sellers just based off physical traits but he's not remotely ready to start as a rookie and I'm fairly convinced he's going to end up returning to school, though not necessarily South Carolina.

There’s no other position on the team that would have as big an impact with simply league average play as a new qb. But sure keep harping on backup guard play. The hundred dollar answer to the million dollar problem.

I mean, there really is cope coming from y'all. Did Bryce play well yesterday? Not at all. Was he the reason special teams gave up 167yds on 3 punt returns? Not at all. Was he the reason Chandler Zavala and Brandon Walton were ass? Nope. Was he the reason that the LBs continue to be doo doo? Negative. Hell, at this rate he's definitely not getting the bonus option picked up and it's going to be back to drafting "the guy" in April 2026 (2027 at the latest). He just hasn't been good enough in year 3. How in the world could you of all people call that cope? The cope really comes down to people thinking that Bryce is the main issue that this team is ass when that just hasn't been the case. Is there a low ceiling with Bryce as the QB? Looking like it, but the floor isn't in the dirt because of him. When somebody is spending 90% of their time on the board bitching about the QB and derailing threads just to do so, that's cope.

We need to switch back to a 4-3 scheme. Every time we've tried to implement a 3-4 under Tepper it has been a disaster.

I dont think there is a coach alive that could win with BY as his QB in the nfl unless they have a hof running back and oline so byoung never has to throw.

We know Tepper sometimes watches film with coaches. I'm really reaching here with my tin foil hat, but it's possible DC is trying to get Tepper to give him green light to go get another dude and he is showing him tape where he ran to run b/c Bryce can't get it done.

Its not about space. It's dumping long term contracts. They need more rookies to develop on cheap contracts. They do not need to sign FA'S period. If they do it's for scrub roster fillers. They have been paying those scrubs primer starter money on long term contracts. They are going to have to draft their way out the nfl basement and not buy their way out which Tepper and his GM minions have been trying to do.

They don't need to either. the "blow it up and start again" approach is for teams with expensive QBs who aren't performing. See the Saints last year. You don't need to blow it up when you aren't paying your QB, we aren't in as bad a spot as some think. Figure out QB next year with a combo of a rookie 1st round pick and a cheap vet (Winston) and nail the rest of the draft (big if) and you are right where you need to be. This years draft so far seems to be REALLY good we are getting legit production from all these guys but JHJ so far. We are not in an awful spot.

I think the front office would have issues if they were hired. And I think the D would be better. They would be more aggressive. offense? everyone going to have a BY issue that isn't some scheme wiz like a Shanahan. He could improve the O.

Tepper has two things that could potentially go for him in a head coach search. 1. Money 2. Pick your QB (if he lets him lol)
