BY as your starting QB, you're gonna get 2 good games a year. For the other 15 games, he's so bad that the entire defense, OLine, WRs, TEs, RBs, everybody, all need to play like HOFers for you to even have a chance at a W.

You made the best point talking about the defense gifting the offense. You know you have a dysfunctional team when your defense gets 3 turnovers in one half and you come away with only 3 inept points. Surely not complimentary football. The defense played more than good enough to win this football game. The first INT by Bryce set the tone for the rest of the game on offense. Such a stupid call by Canalas in that situation. I really believe if we score a TD there, this game may have had a different outcome. What are the chances the Niners stop us there on 3 straight runs? Very bad coaching and very bad situational awareness by Bryce throwing it instead of running to the pylon for the score. Cannot take the TO there. Inexcusable, bad football.

I watched the highlights again a minute ago, and I literally saw a hold on every 49ers offensive play. I saw 3 from Pearsall. Not even being dramatic

No I meant us finishing 8-9 and the Bucs finishing 7-10 and the nfl telling us to to fug ourselves lol But yes I agree.

You can't win until you learn to keep from losing. That encapsulates this team. Every little thing matters...dumb penalties, dropped passes, not protecting the ball, missing tackles, refusing to do what works, or to move off of what isn't during a game. We just look too amateur in too many areas way too frequently.

Fug that dummy. Watch next week he'll try to give him 20 touches when it won't matter against a dominant Ram's team. This is the game we should have employed that strategy with our defense playing do great, instead we forcing lame duck passes and 3 and outs getting our defense gassed.

It's called focus factor. Can have all the talent in the world, but if you do not have the smarts for the game and situational awareness that talent gets you nowhere. And it's not just XL, this seems endemic to this whole team.

100% agreed. If he just got out of the way and did the sensible thing, Rico is in the OPOY discussion and this team has a 2 game lead in the division.

We could have beat the 49’ers. 3 interceptions turning into no points? We squandered multiple opportunities in this game. Poor play calling, execution, play calling, and missed opportunities did it. We had injuries, but so did they.

Get Canales a good QB and see what he can do. Bryce only shows up for two games a year against ATL.

I keep seeing people say...what if he comes the next Darnold. What if he becomes the next Mayfield. What if he becomes the next Breese and he figures it out on a new team in a few years. Its just not going to happen. He isnt the next Darnold. Hes the next Fields. He's the next Wilson. He should bounce around as a backup, earn millions of dollars and then coach high school until he's 60. Its a good life.

At least Shula was able to play to the strength's of the team - let Cam do it. Rico's been the best player on our offense by a large margin and Chuba was picking up steam. What does Canales do? He puts the game in his midget QB's hands hoping he'd be the same as last week without establishing the run, while the 49ers kept feasting against our WRs and predictable pass game. This game was winnable thanks to this defense. But fugging poo we shot that chance away out a cannon and gifted the 49ers an easy win.

noticed that too. Tmac's got plenty of talent and crisp route running but dear god his drops and then getting out muscled by guys less his size are frustrating. XL's an enigma. Has all the potential to be a monster but plays like a very poor man's Funchess week after week.

Someone replaced his gameplan with one of Mike Shula's old color books that they used to distract him with while Cam was out there winning games. Only possible scenario here. Rico needs the ball 20x a game, minimum. Adjust up as needed but 20 is the floor.

yeah after some thought not sure what kind of gameplan he thought would work against the 49ers. rico and chuba were averaging 5ypc but only had 9 total attempts. bryce sucked as usual under the bright lights but not sure why we thought passing those chips was the best way to take advantage of a hobbled 49ers defense. zero playcalling to the strengths of this team. we have a mediocre at best qb while we have some top tier runningbacks having good production. establish the run and open up the intermediates and deep shots while stretching the 49ers defense. saleh must've thought it was christmas with the gift canales and young kept handing hin. easy gameplanning when your opponent's offense is calling scared. canales needs to stop trying to be like mcvay when he's clearly way in over his head. would like to see us get an oc for him to handle that. he seems great as a ceo type but delegate playcalling to someone more competent. oh and get bryce young tf off this team we're never going all the way with that midget.

At the one yard line, first and goal, after your defense gets a turnover and puts you in prime scoring territory, and a momentum changing opportunity. With TWO great running backs, and Dowdle being one of the best RB's in the league this year. It's truly a mind fug.

Ehhh guys we just aren't very good! When we play like this so frequently, it's on us for expecting anything else.

Shanahan can make any QB look good (for the most part). I'd be cautious on paying someone like Mac because of that.
