  2. Rico walking is no big deal. I'll take a healthy 2024 Hubbard over Rico any time and losing Mays is, again, no a big deal. Young is signed for what, $35M for the next two years? Say he wants $50M but the FO doesn't. If they put the franchise tag on him, that would be around $55? So basically they are getting Young for the next 3 years for an average of $30M per year. Putting the franchise tag on him wouldn't be my first choice but it gives them an option that wouldn't be locking him into a long term, $50M contract. I'm not suggestion they do that. Just that the option will be there should they get to that point. Hunt is on a 5 year deal which is done in 28 so he either restructures or is gone anyway. Moton will be 35 by then and will either be gone or have diminished playing time. Neither of those players has anything to do with getting Young a contract. The O line is way overpaid anyway. Hopefully by the time they are gone, Freeling and Hecht will be developed and Ickey will be healthy. Young was benched his second year and only got his job back because Dalton was injured. Not sure how you can call that entitled. And I would NOT say putting a rookie QB on a team with no receivers, tight ends or O lineman and then being put with a coach who never wanted you and is fired mid season, is a definition of luck. As far as competition, no team is going to bring in competition for a QB picked first overall - especially given the capital that was given up to get him.

  4. With apologies to Lady Cowboy fan, any day we can screw over the Cowboys is a GOOD day…
  5. Been here since 2014ish. Good times. Its a shame Zod wont sell, it wouldnt take that much effort to get this place back into shape.
  6. I am not into gambling, so take that into consideration. That said, Vegas is not in the habit of losing money. It happens from time to time, certainly. I do think it is telling that they are betting on Panthers finishing last in the South again, and taking a step back. Maybe it is disrespect, as I personally think the Falcons are destined to be last with an unsettled qb situation. Honestly though we are not too far from being in a similar boat. Not the same but similar.
  7. It's definitely an indictment on what they think about Bryce, it's on him to prove them wrong.
  8. You keep mischaractetizing arguments because you have to. Your arguments can't stand alone. Weak OTs does not mean trash OL. It means you're weak at OT. I specifically said Olsen was a great TE. You don't have a good argument so you're having to resort to intellectual dishonesty to try to float a bad argument.
  9. 8 Pro Bowlers = "the Pro Bowl roster" says the guy begging "please let's be accurate". Embarrassing.
  10. Yes, but it wouldn't land him in the end I'd put a 6th or 7th on him, maybe even a 5th, but any higher than that and it looks like what it is, a possible Bryce replacement. I think doing that at this point would probably send his season sideways anyways, and if that happens, we'll have a high enough pick to get someone better than Sorsby. But I'm sure some team out there will go as high as a 3rd for him, like the Jets
  11. Linville can say what he meant, easily enough. Reads one way to me. And yeah whatever about all this poo.
  12. I just read "either" as implying he wouldn't be able to win in the NFL but whatever
  13. And 2 of the 3 losses to montreal came near the end of March. Never thought I would say “go TB” but here we are. Still if Montreal wins, if Freddie keeps up his playoffs run I like our chances.
  14. Looked that up. Some places say he has it, and some say Gary Brackett in 2010 with I think they said 13 individual tackles. I thought Dan may have had 25? I find 18. Possible that 18 were in combination with others so maybe it is two different records. I found this cool paragraph: Dan Morgan holds the record for single-game tackles, amounting 18 for the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII against the New England Patriots. No. 3 on the list is Panthers safety Mike Minter with 14, while linebacker Will Witherspoon is tied for No. 4 all-time with 13 – all in the same game. https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/super-bowl/super-bowl-best-individual-defensive-performances-history/645871/ That is pretty unbelievable, 3 of the 4 top totals by guys from the same team - in the same game.
  15. Cleaning up one thing: Texas CB Jaylon Guilbeau is NOT heading to the Cowboys, per source. @TomPelissero said he's heading to Carolina https://x.com/joejhoyt/status/2048182454138134797?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA Interesting. It seems Panthers stole him from Cowboys, possibly by offering more money
  16. I see. Okay you are out of context there, It isn’t referring to the NFL, maybe read it again. To me it clearly reads to mean he couldn’t win a NC with Alabama. “In that environment” is referring to college/Alabama. yes it says recreate Saban’s Bama in the NFL but the reference about not winning refers to the NC game he lost.
  17. Me and my son would be going but his wife is due to delivery their 2nd son later that month. Too far to be away if the baby comes sooner.
  18. Lawrence was way overpaid. True about QB comparisons. I was just pointing out having a pro bowl roster doesn't mean a QB is a failure if they don't win it all.
  19. Ok...let's be accurate. Here is the complete paragraph. "If you plug Bryce onto the Pro Bowl roster you might have a chance to compete for a SB. If he's surrounded by top tier talent with a top tier defense on the other side, a field flipping punter, and a kicker good from 60+ you might have a chance. But that means you basically have to recreate Saban's Bama in the NFL and that's impossible... and Bryce couldn't win a championship in that environment either." Two or three? There were 2 pro bowlers on the OL, a TE pro bowler (Olsen) and a running back pro bowler (Stewart) so that's 4 on offense alone - not 2 or 3. On defense you had Short, Davis, Kuechly and Norman all pro bowlers. Thats' 8 starting pro bowlers on the 2015 roster. So yeah, I would say that was a pro bowl roster. So yes, please, let's be accurate.
  20. I remember that ridiculous Nawrocki piece and the debate here over it. There were posters here who were upset that people were criticizing Nawrocki as if he was some great and obviously fair draft analyst and couldn't understand why the "fake smile" stuff rubbed people the wrong way.
  21. Looks like barring a complete 4th quarter collapse the Pistons are advancing. I despise them but I have to acknowledge Bickerstaff is a pretty good coach. Honestly jealous.
  22. I looked into this and it looks like a lot of money is already flowing into the Over. Wasn’t really a payout.
  23. Quick- name the 3 teams Carolina did not beat this season. Not a single game. Montreal, St. Louis, Vegas. Guess I have to pull for Tampa Bay tonight.
  24. That is what was posted. Nowhere does it say can’t. It says The Pro Bowl roster. Not an offense with two or three pro bowlers on it. Who I am not sure all made the pro bowl in Cam’s rookie year or did not. Maybe a different year. I sort of doubt they all did that year. Let’s be accurate.
  25. If we offer him an extension, it will be as an entrenched starting QB. He's not a Burrow or Allen and I don't think we should pay him like one. I still think Lawrence was overpaid for what he produced. Of those you mentioned, only Gettleman was a JR employee. The rest were all here under Tepper. I still see Tepper as the overall issue with our QB room. As far as the comparison between Cam and Bryce, two different QBs in 2 different decades. The key difference between the 2 being, Cam only cost a first. Bryce cost 2 1sts, 2 2nds and Moore. We could afford to miss on Cam, we couldn't with Bryce and so far, we have.
