In stride? Jimmy Horn has wheels, he second guesses himself sometimes so maybe not this time but he probably had like one safety to beat if he caught that on the move
-
Certainly higher profile but if think their recent track record of hires indicates they’re not well thought of us among the coaches. They’re also kinda weird about “culture hires” which is how you end up with guys like Joe Judge. Falcons firing (promoting?) rich McKay again is a good move, and they have basically unlimited resources in Atlanta. Plus you get to play in the nfc south. He also just might take a year off
-
That's why I was pissed they didn't have David Moore active, he's not a burner but he makes those catches. And he knows what it's like to be on a playoff caliber team
-
Probably a TD? Hm
-
I think he will go to NYG if he goes anywhere.
-
Not a great throw but at the same time that's a catch you have to make the majority of the time if you want to be an NFL WR. Every WR on an NFL roster will look at that and say yeah, just get me that ball I'm making that catch all day.

Mike Tomlin stepping down as HC of the Steelers

I was talking about Daniel Jones. Edit: and speaking of Mac Jones, him with Shanghai is a bit different than with who is it in Pittsburgh, Arthur Smith? -
A vet maybe would have dropped to cradle it but poo throw. In front of him it's probably a td
-
Best of the world to him from here. Definitely a guy who never gave up on himself and gave his best for everyone who gave him a chance. Glad he spent some time with us.
-
That ball was not behind him and it while it was low, it wasn't too low. TMac had made a catch on a similar pass earlier in the game. NFL receivers routinely make those catches. If they can't make them, they shouldn't be in the NFL. I agree with you though and hate it for him. I thought he played well for the limited touches he got.

Coker emerged at the end of last season - most people just missed it. The real difference is XL with his most offensive penalties on the team and his 54% catch rate would not have been needed. It would have been TMac and Theilen and then TMac, Theilen and Coker. That's probably good for another win or two. I agree though getting the draft picks was worth him not being here given how the season finished.

Mike Tomlin stepping down as HC of the Steelers

You make it sound like Jones' failed. He didn't. Purdy just recovered and took his starting job back. Yes, the Steelers went to the playoffs again and immediately lost - again. -
Listen it’s not fair to evaluate bryce without four full years with Canales, and if you’re gonna have him play the fifth year you might as well lock him up long term in case he breaks out which he’s definitely going to do any season now.

Now he has to spend time with his wife, poor bastard.

Rod wants gritty defenseman, Eric wants more modern point producing defenseman... Who you think is gonna win out??? Lol -
I was rooting for the Steelers just for Thielen's sake. Glad to have had him as a Panther. We've had two great former Vikings as Panthers now (Jared Allen and Adam Thielen).
-
I will definitely take Coker's rise over him having a nice little playoff run

Mike Kaye’s take: 2026 NFL free agency predictions

I think he is wrong. I think they bring Mays back. Too valuable--unless he gets overpaid elsewhere, but we need a C and he seems to be on the same page with the Guards and QB--no, not spectacular, but solid in the run game. He will be 27 and to your point, has improved every year. Even back in college, he was in different systems anmake sure d played different positions-- Too early to move on from him. He could peak around age 30, so don't bail now. Some competition would create depth.- 31 replies

Glad to have seen him wear a Panthers jersey.

He wants to spend more time with his kids and J.T. O'Sullivan's wife.

I think everything worked out how it was supposed to work out

Should Canalas bring someone else in to call offensive plays?
Soul Rebel replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed, an outside playcaller that could use some of Dave’s concepts and “big picture” while infusing some fresh ideas and more fluid within-game adjustments would be welcomed. I also think our running game became very predictable and stalled out towards the end. It looked like the playbook wasn’t deep enough and they didn’t do a good job of Bryce being under center/empty backfieding it way too much. - Today

I like Morgan the person and obviously as a former player. As a GM it's been a mixed bag. 2024 draft was a stinker 2025 draft so far looks really good. FA class overall solid. But we've got way too much salary cap tied up in our OL for the results we've gotten offensively. I have no doubt he is going to continue to try and make strides for the defensive roster. But whether or not he continues to stand pat with this QB room is what will define him as Panthers GM IMO. I feel it's only a matter of when not if we are back to the same tough conversations about Bryce Young next season if we keep the QB room intact.
