Bryce Young a full participant at practice today
The Lobo replied to Car123's topic in Carolina Panthers
I understand liking a player and defending him, but I just can’t get over the amount of people that think he is some all pro mvp bad ass. I just don’t get it -
Oh, good point, didn’t know that.

Is Canales digging his own grave?
Navy_football replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
Are we talking about the same guy that benched his starting QB after 2 games into his first season as HC? That guy is more concerned about feelings than production? I think it's more likely that he thought Chuba AND Rico could be a productive duo. Problem is Rico is way more productive and demands way more carries. Took him 2 games to figure out it wasn't working like he expected so now he's making a change. Usually the simplest explanation is the real reason. -

Bryce Young a full participant at practice today

From the presser it appears they didnt know Dalton was injured until after the game. He should have took himself out the gsme because he didnt do us any favors by staying in there. You can't just assume Hooker is terrible because this coaching staff didnt turn to him, without injury to Chuba, Rico wouldn't have gotten on the field outside spot duty. -
We have to decide 5th year option this off season.

What y’all think about this? Bryce Young plays out and competes with a real journeyman with upside. Maybe somebody like a Mac Jones… Bryce plays well you get the 5th year, he doesn’t you at least have a serviceable player. either way, 2027 draft the new QB for the future.
-
I guess they didn't get the message.
-
Roll it over They have 31m in cap space with 38 players on the roster for 2026. After rookie pool comes out, they'll have 17m in space and 44 players on roster.

Dion Dawkins on his confrontation with A’Shawn Robinson
Aussie Tank replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Robinson got the memo if you can't win the game you win the fight -
Of all the front office personnel, I have the most trust in Brandt Tilis. He’s done a decent job of managing the cap.

Dion Dawkins on his confrontation with A’Shawn Robinson
Bear Hands replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fun fact - the only reason he's not a Panther is because of Beane leaving the org the year they traded up to draft him 1 pick ahead of the Panthers. We wanted him. Moton was option B. -
Interesting note on the Dalton injury. DC wouldn’t commit to whether Bryce or Andy would be ready to go this week. One of the reporters asked if that meant Hendon Hooker would be the guy if they couldn’t go and he said that was the conversations they (coaching staff ) are having now. Would it be worth our time to just be conservative and just let some of these borderline injured guys (Mayes, Moton, Young, Zavala, Wallace) rest this week and get ready for these back to back divisional games and MNF game?

Dion Dawkins on his confrontation with A’Shawn Robinson
ProcessBlue2 replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Perhaps I’m just biased. I just haven’t really cared for many of his takes on social media. I consider him as annoying as Jason Kelce. -
Canales seemed pissed off in his press conference today. He referenced the leadership council multiple times. I feel like there was some type candid feedback and exchange from both sides and they pushed Canales to make changes he didn’t want to make or the FO didn’t want him to make.

Dion Dawkins on his confrontation with A’Shawn Robinson
Pantherxtreme replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Eh sounded reasonable to me. Emotions were high in a blowout. Like that fight from Robinson though our rather see team pissed off after getting blown out than laughing and joking afterwards. -
10 more carries and he'd be top 3

Eh, hate to say it but I disagree here. A'Shawn trying telling him we can fight after the game shows where his head was at, and it wasn't in football. And if Ekwonu can get any tips from Dawkins who is a 4x Pro Bowler I'm all for it. Oh well, we live to fight another week. Would love if we're the ones frustrating the Packers with a blowout this time. -
Dowdle would probably be leading rusher or close to it had he been the lead back all season most of those guys in front have more volume of carries. Makes you wonder how his talent didn't flash in practice seeing how little use he got in the early part of the season. It's not like it came out of nowhere he rushed for a 1000 yards last season even though just like here he started as backup and didn't get significant carries until the 2nd half of the season, Cowboys were playing an ineffective Zeke in front of him. Not sure why Jerry didnt try to resign him, but they paid for that in the game against us. Canales seemed determined to repeat the same mistake as Dallas, hopefully he's gotten out of his own way. This team has lacked identity the past few seasons, especially have been missing that fire starter on offense like he had with Cam, Jonathan Stewart, Steve Smith's of the world. We had that briefly for 2 games hopefully the 2nd half of the season we can get back to that brand of football where teams know what we're doing but can't stop it.

Hornets @ Heat 10/28 Game Thread
HeelsPanthersCanes replied to Panther49er's topic in Charlotte Hornets
I've already paid my next year's mortgage taking overs on Hornets games. They are the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA. Whatever the number is, just slam the over. -
It's better to clear the cap space and not use it than clear it and then overspend on a player out of need and them not live up to the contract. Clear it this year, roll it over and spend it next year on a player worthy of the contract.

Not Necessarily Panthers Related but....
PNW_PantherMan replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Even more reason to bring one in on a 1 year deal in the offseason. Pretty low risk move -
We are projected to have 31,000,000 next offseason. This rolls over and makes 47,000,000. Getting rid of Robinson saves like 8,000,000 and Tremble is like another 6,000,000 (I think that’s why Mitchell Evans is here). That’s over 60,000,000 plus there is the yearly cap increase and you can always move money around on Hunt, Brown, Horn, etc. We could have 80,000,000 in cap next offseason if we wanted it.

The ironic part… it’s that very insurance company lol

Yep, all my kids had chicken pox vaccines. I had chickenpox when I was 6 as there was no vaccine. Once chickenpox was defeated, it hid in one of my nerves on my rib , laying dormant until stress and lack of sleep triggered it to wake up and attack my nervous system along that very rib. I was prescribed antiviral which prevents virus from multiplying but not dying. Virus then goes back into hiding in that very rib again, waiting to be triggered and attack again. Shingles shot prevents virus from multiplying at rapid pace when it triggered again. Still can get shingles but very very mild.
