Is anyone else now buying the idea Tepper has eyes on a Europe move??
Basbear replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
. Good stuff here in both, money makes 90% of it go away. Or giving the soccer team to Nicole or _______ . There is too money at play here, talking billions and that makes every law/union/tax/etc lessens the impact given when everyone is getting their hands into NFL money printing machine. Plus I believe both of you know Tepper is paying the state/city one American dollar in rent per year for the land the stadium(tepper 100% owns). Europe would fall in line just like the great USA does when it comes to counting billions of dollars/euros.... Old Mr big cat threaten to move the team after getting them here, if I remember right. -

You seem to distance his performance from what you call a "poo show." He is a big reason why it is a "poo show." So he will not be traded out of it. He will take it, at least in part, with him. -

If XL had half the football instincts of Q I’d believe in him -
Here is the main deal. If you are picking inside the top 8-10, the focus nearly must fall on the following- QB, WR, Edge/DE, LT, DT. There's always exceptions- Luke, Quetin Nelson, CB, and RT names. The facts are the Panthers have what the 31st ranked pass rush or last in sacks with NIc and Prince. You can play 4 edges on the same play. Drafting a edge would be correct move. Panthers need talent and talent at the difference making spots. 100% avoid safety, in the top 10 even top 20. The only way to break this rule, clones of Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, or Ronnie Lott.

Reuben Bain Jr and Caleb Downs seem to be the blue chippers on defense this year and I have no qualms with obtaining one of them. -

You actually read that book?! Are you also insinuating that DC had a homosexual relationship with BI? -
Yeah I mixed up SS the year before but they said he didn't interview well and more lol. Link. Not a leader of men but they went with DC LOL
-
yeah and I got blasted for defending him, a bad zoom interview as he was preparing for the playoffs with dumb fugs like dave and nicole tepper asking him questions hire clowns expect the circus

Damn you may be right

mrcompletely11 replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
if we dont pick up the 5th there is no way we dont go qb unless DC convinces them he can rehab Russ, kenny pickett, jimmy g, wentz etc. on the flip side if we do draft one and DC is on a short leash we are already setting up for failure. 5 wins or less and just clean fuging house top to bottom, nobody would give a poo -

Quite a few mocks have us going Edge with our first pick, which I think is odd considering we got Nick and Princely looking good. I think we have to take a Quarterback if one we like is there. Please don't trade down; the class isn't that good. One mock has us taking the Safety out of OSU, but that seems like it would be high for the position, even though he looks to be an A+ prospect. -
that was shane stechin I thought, pretty fuging stupid reason

They have a great HC over there. I don't know if he was using us for leverage or not, but we sure as hell should have entertained the idea. -
it's not an excuse really. It's just acknowledging realities. And it really appeared Carolian acknowledged it and moved on from Bryce Young SUPER quick a mere 2 games into the Canales era. Morgan fugged up by not trading Bryce then. They let him back on the field and they screwed themselves with this pointless year. I blame Tepper/Morgan more than Canales. Canales is what he is. We know what we were getting. We knew his tree. He was also blunt about what he was. From the jump, Bryce didn't fit. Seemed like they acknowledged it last year and then went stupid.

And it’s funny Q. Johnson for the chargers was straight ass his first couple of years and now he’s turned it on. -
Next level Jedi strategy... Tell'em u run it on 2nd n short and show'em you run it on 3rd and 15 lol

He already bowed out after interviewing the year before. I think that was the year he skipped out on Washington after saying their new ownership group acting like they were running an NBA team. I think the Panthers leaked he had a bad interview or some BS.
-
Probably why Ben Johnson and others didn’t even bother to interview

Ladd had a great rookie season. Looks like he is starting to come back down this year. This is with a solid QB and a solid HC who is known to make his QBs look even better. This year Ladd is averaging around 40 yards a game and has 0 TDs. He also was injury prone in college. If he was a Panther he would probably be injured now or not playing nearly as well as he did last year. You can't just pick players that are succeeding with other franchises and assume they will be doing the same here. -
Of course. Although it is necessary to wonder just how far those conversations went in the hiring process. As in when they discussed the plans to "fix" Bryce Young how much leeway does Bryce Young ultimately have if he performs poorly and does Dave Canales have full autonomy to bench him when he feels it's time to make that call? Right now to me it looks like it's Tepper's decision. And if that is indeed the case we're boned no matter who the coach is.

The NFL is a performance and results based league. XL has done absolutely nothing to be given the benefit of the doubt, crappy QB play from Bryce notwithstanding. -
That works too. ABB and I don’t mean Allman Brothers Band.
