Ok but playing a hurt QB and then letting the Falcons and Panthers back in the division race is completely on him as a HC. Baker isn't right but I also don't know what's going on doen there. Their fans sure seem to be real unhappy with Bowles and more unhappy to see Coen succeeding in Jax.
-
Bowles is incompetent in his own right but Baker is the same guy he's always been. An arrogant loud mouth who doesn't like to take responsibility when he plays poorly.
-
Bowles is so getting fired. Dude should have sat Baker in our last game so he would be healthy/healthier. Really dumb move for them. I can completely see him getting fired and it sure looks justifiable.

The whole backup O-line are FA’s. Going to take some money to keep a starting center and one or two competent backups around.
-
It's wild that guy is even debating this fact. Bryce Young also played under the winningest coach in modern football history who also personally went out of his way to vouch for Bryce. Remove Alabama from the equation altogether and replace it with a smaller school and Bryce Young wouldn't have even been drafted in the first two rounds.

Cowboys release Pro Bowl CB Diggs
theinstrumental replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude’s a head case like his brother, I’m fine with not bringing him in. -
I think we’re starting to see the limitations in his game—he doesn’t have the wiggle of Rashee Rice or Deebo Samuel. That’s why he skipped the agility drills at the combine. So he’s a big, straight-line receiver who isn’t good at the downfield sideline things that are required from an X. He’d be interesting as a big slot with some more wiggle. He definitely deserves another year, but he shouldn’t stand in the way of adding other options. Maybe he can find another role. Worst case, he’s big and fast and is a decent depth receiver—Renfrow and David Moore weren’t giving us more than he does.

@X-Clown You still glazing him or no?
-
if you look at what was inherited with the dead cap 1/2 years out, yes absolutely.
-
Shame about the qb
-
Welp, he just joined Parsons in Green Bay (whenever he gets back on the field from injury).

That was always the fear, expectation, concern, etc, I had. Someone showed a still shot from his pick last game and said it showed that the defender closed 3 yards on that ball in the last portion of its flight. I forget the number. 10 yards I think it said but that sounds extreme. When guys are open by a step, any slowing down to wait for the ball lets the defender back into the play. That sort of stuff makes the margins so small… these NFL CBs are not slow. It is a league that highly values foot speed; the 40 times and drill times are scrutinized down to the hundredth of a second when evaluating these players on both sides of the passing game. Receivers and defenders both. My thing with his arm strength (or anyone’s) was always “why do you want to do that? Plus pay extra picks to put yourself in that situation?”. Asking for trouble. I wish there was a way to measure velocity on the back half of a throw compared to when it left the hand. Or really get accurate reading of the flight time of a ball from the near hash to the sideline, 10 yards down the field. Because teams could use that info. I have always seen this as being a disadvantage with Bryce but it is beyond my ability to quantify it. I think it would show what that arm strength is really about, a lot more than just measuring how much air can you put under it so it will fly as far as possible.

Who didn't see that coming....

Its a detriment if he can't play...as we are seeing.

Oooooof

I'd like to have another year to see with someone as raw as legette. The thing is, I feel like he's the kind of guy where you need to manufacture touches for him like Deebo or else you'll need to really work on developing him, which I doubt we can. We need guys who are immediately good out of the gate like Tmac. The problem with our team is you can't even properly evaluate or develop a lot of these guys because look at what our offense is. When we're passing for 50 yards a game and 90% of it is in the 4th quarter, everything is going to look awful. Assuming we can even complete passes, this offense has no chance of supporting three receivers. We can barely support one. If defenses don't give us everything on a platter we're completely fuged most of the time.

Yep, so lets get another one and not extend the current one.

Even today, you just can't spell "citrus" without UT.

moton was a massive massive mistake as well

have they though, a rookie contract qb seems to tilt the scale, they have most certainly made blunders

This is the first year since I even knew what Bowl Games were as a kid that I don't care AT ALL about the games (outsude of the CFP). I don't even know who is playing in any of the bowl games and for the first time in decades am not playing a bowl challenge game on ESPN or a betting site.
-
I really don't care. I still don't like him. I hope he loses today. Matt Rhule on the Nebraska sidelines today.
-
Where in there did I say keep Young? Your hate blinds you to the other issues on this team.
-
Yea something has to shake with Wharton. We signed this guy to a 3 year 45 million dollar contract, 30 mil of which is fully guaranteed. This may end up being Dan's biggest misfire. And from what I've seen so far ...any Evero input on personnel (except safeties)should quickly be disregarded as well, especially draft input. I think we're mid league w/ 2026 salary cap numbers but our trajectory could attract more/better FA's this offseason.
