  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah late and under thrown. For DC to publicly say the reason he cut Renfrow from the initial 53 because of conditioning when he doesn't have his QB's footwork fixed also pisses me off now. The only reason he got the HC job was to fix Bryce yet he's reverted back to the same issues he had his rookie year
  3. I guarantee it makes a difference. Give up 2 scores and its basically over until garbage time. The offense can barely drive the length of the field in 3 quarters. The defense has been gutted to build around a QB that is possibly the biggest bust in NFL history. For what we've put into the offense the past 3 years, we should be dropping 30 bombs with regularity. The only 30s we get are FGs.
  4. Not according to some fly by night fantasy crusader! There were 10 drops that should have netted Bryce another 450 yards and 7 TD’s
  5. What? Am I mistaken that his rookie year included a horrible coaching staff and support players. It's wasn't just Bryce. I won't judge any player from that yeah. It's impossible to make an accurate assessment on any player under those conditions. It's that simple. You break down each play and look at each player, what the expectation was, what happened during the play and what circumstances affected every player and position. There a reason why the narrative was he could be the biggest NFL bust in history. Then after his benching he started to show remarkable improvement. Thus all the talk from fans and media about how dramatic of a turnaround it was and that Carolina no longer had a QB problem. First game this year the whole team stunk it up. Why? Plenty of blame to go around including Bryce. Improvements do not come it a nice straight line angling up. I think Sunday was a step back for the whole team. Still plenty of time to see if it was a bad outing to grow from or another indicator of issues that can't be overcome.
  6. Reading a lot of this brought me back to memories of a guy I loved watching as a kid when he came back and dominated, almost in a “Linsanity” type of way, but for football obviously - Doug Flutie. I’ve always loved an underdog. I’m a sucker for those stories and characters. And the league essentially forced Flutie out the first time around, from memory, mostly because his coaches felt he didn’t fit the proper QB archetype. Not big enough, not impressive enough, etc., so he went to the CFL and dominated for years. Came back and signed with Buffalo to give it another go in the NFL and became a pro bowl QB. His teams were competitive and fun to watch. And statistically, I guess unofficially, he was the same size as Bryce, but you couldn’t tell… Flutie could sling it, and when he ran, he ran with conviction. But my point in bringing it up, as also evidenced by a guy like Russ in his prime, and although supposedly slightly taller, also Brees, and to a lesser extent Kyler Murray… small QBs can be successful. I specifically bring up Flutie though bc he wasn’t viewed as prototypical and he improvised a lot, which was supposed to be one of Bryce’s strengths. Flutie scrambled around a ton and extended plays to get throws off, and although not crazy accurate over his career, again, he played with purpose, and when he did throw it looked NATURAL. My issue with Bryce is, it doesn’t. Dan is harping on about his timing and footwork, and finding that rhythm, but at some point, you would think your natural ability to anticipate and throw would override all that other poo. Again, it sounds crazy, but if you took any semi-athlete or former athlete off this board, and had them throw with a receiver for endless hours over a few months and say, “this is a 5 yard hitch route.” As Dan showed, an imbecile sees the corner is backed up off Tet. We know the route. We’ve thrown it a million times. So when he takes his last step into the upward part of the route, we should be throwing it to that spot before he even turns around. But nope, we’re sitting here hyperfocusing on some bullshit footwork trying to find reasons why he can’t do the simplest fuging poo a QB is tasked with. At some point, it’s over analyzing. Either he can or can’t, and he’s shown he can’t. Everything else these analysts are doing is searching for excuses for him. Any QB worth a poo could turn their whole lower body into a pretzel running the opposite way of the play, but when they recognize the read available to them and the throw they need to make, they square their poo up or at least maneuver themselves in a position to allow their upper body to do what is required to make the throw. Bryce has not, can not, and will not.
  7. Orlovsky is one of the smartest, best people on TV breaking down football. I'm surprised a team hasn't asked him to consult / coach for them. It's too bad that ESPN surrounds him with a bunch of doofuses and TV evangelists. And to stay on topic, Bryce stinks.
  8. Pretty sure he will have to get approval from Tepper before benching BY again. this basically would mean….officially they are done with him after paying so much in draft capital and DJ. And the Panther would have to admit they were wrong. You know how many draft picks it took to finally replace DJ Moore? TMJ, Mingo, XL….and TMAC.
  9. It was under thrown and off target. He was wide open. No excuse for that.
  10. That’s the crazy part too. Because we just need Bryce to not be absolute cheeks. And we can’t even get that. its frustrating.
  11. I’m not saying Canales is the answer, just that no winning “culture” includes playing for losses/draft position
  12. The defense has been a problem we all know this. Evero and the talent level have held us back no doubt. But it is also worth questioning what effect the QB play or lack thereof is having on that side of the ball. And it is absolutely legitimate to consider that not only them being on the field more but watching the QB and the offense waste drive after drive has an effect on morale if the unit is already not ideal.
  13. I think most of us saw it when we were watching the game but welcome back
  14. And on ignore list you go. I have low tolerance for stupid.
  15. Canales culture aint brother. Morgan wants dawgs and DC is a furby.
  16. Lawrence was average, but Bryce was far below average. This isn't even up for debate, yet the Alabama-fellating cross-dressers at PFF apparently disagrees.
  17. Ok if he sucks again this week would you trade for sanders. Id give that 4th we got for AT just to see. If he sucks like he probably would then you draft another one
  18. To be fair, I don't know that it'd make much of a difference with how awful our defense is who the QB is.
  19. This catch by Jaycee Horn is worth the watch. Was a bright spot and there sure wasn't many bright spots. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/video/cant-miss-play-one-handed-203703652.html
  20. Read somewhere that Evero was going to be fired, but the reason to keep him was that he did the best he could with bad ingredients. It wasn't justified to fire him if what he had to work with was flawed. That's not the same story this year
  21. Lawrence didn't play great, but he outplayed Bryce by essentially every actual measure. To come up with some system that says Bryce had a better game is just lying.
