If this young man avoids the injury bug he’s about to be an All-Pro https://x.com/fbgreatmoments/status/1918455546685906966?s=46 you add a ferocious d-line and QBs won’t have all day to throw the ball

Good OL are so hard to find these days.

Panthers.com says he actually wanted #11 initially. It's fine. It just seems like the league has maybe gone a bit too far in loosening up numbers for position groups. That's all some people are saying. But this was probably always inevitable anyways as they years go on. I'm just ready to see him get out there and pluck some passes out of the air.

PFF raves about our draft. The best class in the whole draft?
Shotgun replied to Panthers Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Drafting starters means a lot more if you have a good roster and win 10+ games a season. If you have one of the worst rosters in the nfl and win 5 games…is it really that impressive? I hope they will end up being good players but how many would start on a team like the eagles or ravens? Any? - Today

Panthers Fan 69 started following Tuesday First Game

Canes and Caps will start 5/6. No time announced for that day yet but I would imagine 7:30.

No one said he had no business being there at all just that he wasn't a good enough pass blocker to reset the LT market with a new contract. He must know it too because he is also not pounding the table for a new contract which is a pleasant surprise in all of this. I said when Moton goes down again. In that situation some backup has to play. BC's time at LT was actually graded his best by PFF. He had a 96 grade in 2020 at LT beating out Sewell who was 95ish. The position the backup played in school ttoo. Which is wild because no one wanted him this year amd even the Panthers only signed him for 1 year. I don't know the breakdown of that year but Ickey is a beast in run blocking and weak in pass protection which completely erodes your entire stance of keeping him there to protect the QB when that's the issue in the first place in all of this. Your being overdramatic and not looking at the total situation. It's not like I said just do it for fun but when Moton goes down again and some backup has to play. If Ickey was that pivotal they would have him locked up longterm but instead they are waiting and seeing with the 5th year option now.

D. Morgan on T-Mac: “I made the decision pretty early [January]
mrcompletely11 replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
of course we wanted to trade down, for the right deal, dont be silly If the cowboys jumping us to 7 for tmac was the sole reason to have this smokescreen then thats pretty silly, dude you are bit blinded out the level of prospect he is. As many have noted he would have been the wr 5/6 in last years draft. He benefited greatly in timing. -
Yeah LG is an obvious fit but that's over. It's get better and stay at LT, overpay a meh passblocking LT, give him a shot when Moton misses a game or just trade him and try again if no meaningful improvement again. No one knows if it's simple until they try. Just like Gross he is smart so that's a positive but it's a long shot for sure. Moton will miss a game this year, just a few if we are re lucky. BC was graded well as a LT so it's not a bonkers move if they try it...again if he is even on board with trying.

Sure but in a draft where there wasnt a bonafide star (at least at 8 ) it wouldnt hurt to throw out the scent that tmac may be a possibility as well to see if you could get even more trade offers. -

Popcorn Ready? Gabriel to wear #2 in Cleveland?
Panthers Rhule replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know about him in the nfl. He got sacked 94 times in TWO seasons. If he does anything close to that in the nfl he won't make through a season. It's hard to win the job from you back. -

I have heard nothing else about it--probably is fake. Apologies if it is--I trusted my friend who sent it to me. He may have been fooled too. I did not verify it like I normally do--and I am not on X. My bad. -

It could be. A friend of mine from Ohio (an hour below Cleveland) forwarded it to me--it was apparently making the rounds up there---he believed it. -
The Athletic's "Undrafted Player to Watch"
Khyber53 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Let's hope so. I love seeing undrafted players prove themselves to be stars in the making. If there was ever a team to do it on, the Panthers would be it. -
No, I had not, nor probably will I. And it's not about defending him, it's about it not really being any of my business. If he did have an affair, that's a terrible thing and something that he'll have to work out with his wife if she chooses to. Will it affect what I think of him? Yeah, probably, but it will also remind me, as has this thread that we've all got feet of clay. But, I also don't worship sports heroes, or even hold them up as much more than regular folks. And he sure isn't the only Panther to have an affair. Let's face it, there are some that have pretty much had a harem spread around the region before. Feet of clay. Feet of clay.

I don't think this is the first time. There were rumors of a few affairs while he was still playing for the panthers. He's proven over and over that he's not a good person so I'd be willing to bet those rumors were true. She definitely should divorce him and take half. Unless of course he was honest with her before they got married that he was going to fug whoever he wanted.

Popcorn Ready? Gabriel to wear #2 in Cleveland?
toldozer replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's definitely winning the job. Gabriel isn't an nfl qb in my opinion. Flacco will start the season and go 0-4 Pickett will be traded after someone gets hurt in preseason. I feel like I'm the only one that thinks sanders is an nfl qb. He's immature but he can play. I don't think work ethic is an issue for him like most of the entitled busts that have come through the league.
