  1. Past hour
  2. I think we did the last round of hiring, right? One of the very few I have ever put on ignore. I looked through the list of them recently and percentage that are no longer active or banned was hilariously high.
  3. Lmaoooo...I heard that too. I had to turn them off.
  4. By the end of the game? Correct. How about match the Pats score for score or at least sustain drives that would have kept their offense off the field for one or two of those scoring drives? There was a 40-40 TIE last night in the NFL. There are such things as offensive shootouts/bad defensive efforts. Just because one or two phases are sucking in a game for a team doesn't exonerate the third from having to do their job.
  5. **Opinion alert, this is just my opinion** I think the Panther's are broken at the talent evaluation level. The most fundamental skill an organization must have. I think this is what plagues organizations and blesses others. Everything has to start with getting better talent in the building. Without that you simply can't make a solid assessment on anything downstream so eventually everything gets churned and the problems recycle. It seems plain as day to me though, if you look at the team since Tepper our talent level has dropped every year which is somewhat insane. We only accidentally hit on draft picks nowadays and have to try to spend our way to competitiveness on talent other teams drafted and developed. There is no better mascot for this joke than Bryce Young. This is all to say there is no fixing the Panthers until you fix talent evaluation.
  6. Team has no pride and no cajones. From the top down they are soft and easily fold. Whatever happened to "keep pounding"? Now it's more like "keep sucking". Lack of talent in all phases is evident (including the coaching staff). But have some damn pride and don't get curb stomped. Just embarrassing to be a long time fan and see what they have morphed into.
  7. Does the good outweigh the bad with DM? and what do you like from Canales so far? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or an Ahole, genuinely asking your opinion.
  8. As long as that script involves sub 5 yard throws.
  9. I do think we'll be "patient" and give Canales and Morgan another year. I like some of the things DM has done, and I like Canales to an extent. Would like to see what they do without Evero and Bryce, but also may just be re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
  10. Again, I am not defending him but putting the blame on him for Sundays loss is just ridiculous. Put it this way, in order for them to have won, Bryce would have thrown 7 TD's.
  11. Of course Dave Tepper is, and Nicole. Such a nice boy
  12. I don’t understand the organization blame thing in the sense that the people who were here when Baker was here are not the people who are in place for this iteration of the team. This era. Morgan is no offensive guy and if was here for Baker and Sam (just looked he came here in 2021) he likely had little to do with any of that he was a subordinate front office exec with scant offensive background. I also can’t quite reason out why he would have had real influence over the selection of which QB we took, because what kind of power did he even have? I say probably little real power. I think he should be judged by what he did as GM when he did have some power. And the idea that if f something is perceived to be wrong now they are blamed/credited for what happened when they weren’t even here. Tepper is the only real link. I struggle to accept this line of thinking.
  13. You think hashtags will make a billionaire sell something?
  14. Move the team. Get a 33rd franchise.
  15. The opening game scripted plays. It was down hill from there.
  16. his unit has technically got us our only win on the season. It's actually not the easiest sell if your are the Panthers given our O likely is slightly worse than our D.
  17. Shadeur? It literally wouldn't be any worse than this. It would gain some rep with the media. A call should be made but it won't.
  18. I’ll start off by saying this: in no way, shape, or form should Bryce Young be the starting QB for us next year. I accepted that reality last year—by Weeks 1 and 2, I was already disgusted by what I saw. Now, let’s get to why I don’t think Canales is fully to blame (at least play-calling wise). There aren’t a lot of plays for 3rd-and-long situations when we have no speed on the field, and with Tet becoming a star, he’s likely to get double-teamed on those downs. So, instead of putting Bryce in position for an interception or sack-fumble, Canales runs the ball. Cool, I get it. Also, Bryce has a huge tendency of staring down ONE receiver as well and would elude getting an INT. But here’s what’s off to me: when Andy Dalton comes in, the ball is being ripped downfield. (Yes, I understand Andy is a longtime veteran.) We even saw it last year—Andy threw the ball well, made the right decision and moved the offense down the field. Now with Bryce, though, I think Canales is handcuffed by his limited abilities. Throwing off his tippy-toes or throwing jump balls (never seen Russell or Drew Bree’s do that), I just don’t think he fits the mold of thing Canales wants in a QB. Bryce has also reverted to his ways with his footwork as well. It’s glaring on tape now. There were times yesterday when I saw Bryce have time in the pocket, and he still threw a checkdown. Or there were guys open, but he couldn’t fit the ball into a tight window because he didn’t have the arm strength to do it. I’m not going to put all the blame on Canales—he’s working with what he’s got—but I’m not letting him off the hook either. Here’s how I see it: I think Tepper will allow Dave to pick his QB of choice this year to run the offense, whether that comes through free agency or the NFL Draft. Something has to get done. I cannot keep watching situations where receivers are NFL-open, but Bryce can’t make the throw, or when a tackle or guard gets pushed back a few steps and Bryce shows “Bambi legs.” I just can’t keep watching it anymore. I don’t think Dave gets fired, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he did. That could be the potential route the organization takes. To me, it feels like we’re saving money for something. I also think Tepper’s and Dan’s patience with Bryce is wearing thin as well. Just my opinion. #KeepPounding
  19. This thread reminded me how annoying hubby was
  20. They sat on the WR that's been bailing him out while watching the run. We are back to 'everything around him needs to be a probowler' times again. Just disregard the open guys down field...
  21. I really hope after all the mistakes he’s made, that Tepper finally follows a proven NFL model for success. Maybe he will finally hire a consulting agency for the search.
  22. Surprised Evero hasn't been fired this morning yet...
  23. Yup, hindsight is 20/20 there LG. I was told the League couldn't force JR to sell, while technically true, I'm sure there was a TON of pressure and persuasion tactics being used behind the scenes. IIRC, Tepper wasn't even the highest bidder, Navarro(?) was but he wasn't the RICHEST bidder. Tepper had the biggest wallet in the pool of bidders. This is the reason the Walton family owns the Broncos even though there were people like Manning and Elway in ownership groups that would have made WAY more sense for the League.
  24. Lol mac and bone are blaming the wrs and saying Bryce overthrows were throwaways. God this beautiful delusion
