5 of his 7 first half carries were at least 5 yards. Rico is flat out playing great. Rico single handedly got us back in and won that Miami game down 17. It was only a 16 hole at the half. We got ball. by the time Rico got his first second half carry.....it was then a 37 point hole. He is getting some heat, but PFF should do a score for the coaches and Canales should get a negative billion rating.
-
Yea once Coker came back there wasn't really a spot for Renfrow
-
He also doesn't respond well to constant pressure or secure the ball well. It would have been a different view of the same thing.

The weird thing is I think Dalton looked at his best Sunday when we let him throw the ball in the intermediate range (10-15 yards). Yet, we pretty much only wanted him running that swing pass to Horn or screen passes most of the 1st half, which Buffalo picked up on after like 3 pass plays. Don't get me wrong - Dalton was complete ass. But much like Bryce, the play calling hurt him more than it helped.

Another ugly loss incoming.

5 yards a carry is great IMO opinion because we are talking an average of 2nd and 5, which means the defense can't sit solely on the pass or run. I understand 5 is an average and not all carries are going to be that, but he definitely had better runs than Chuba. When we have Chuba running the ball for 1 or 2 yards and getting stuck in 2nd and 8 or 3rd and 6, we have to pass - which as we saw was the nail in the coffin for us with Dalton back there. The only 2 drives in the game where we had a legit chance of scoring (before garbage time) was the drive we scored a FG on and the drive Andy took the inexcusable sack on to cost us points. No coincidence that the RB on the field those drives was Rico (who pretty much picked up 5+ yards every carry outside of that goofy direct snap play). It really needs to be a 2-to-1 ratio of snaps in favor of Rico going forward (unless Chuba gets better). I don't care if we are paying Chuba more. Other teams have had no problem benching the guy being paid more if the other player is doing better - just look at the Falcons and them starting Penix over Cousins like 6 games into his rookie season.

Depends on perspective. I do think the talent is great. Whether T-Mac reaches his potential is another story, especially within these current circumstances. Some of the metrics are really good already (like average yards per catch). Even PFF already had him as the 20th or so best WR in the league.

As good as Allen is, I don't think he played particularly well yesterday. At some point after Cook gets his 10th carry of 10+ yards in the game, I would probably worry more about that... Truly an awful job by our team setting the edge and breaking free from blocks that game. Hoping that it was an outlier game for them, because they have otherwise been good with their run D and staying in their gap (outside of maybe the JAX game)

Changing the turd at the top of the pile does not make it less of a pile of crap. It can and will get worse. It would also cost Canales his job for doing such a moronic thing this early in the season. When they are out of the playoff hunt then maybe he can play around with the roster. Doing it now means you are throwing in the towel on the season.

I don't think he has an NFL arm.

The stat that killed me, and I'm surely misremembering to an extent, but Josh Allen has only completed ONE pass of 20+ air yards since 2024. Andy Dalton had completed 2 in that same time period in his limited games. The Bills WR group is average on a good day. Josh Allen doesn't throw/complete passes deep anymore since Diggs left. So, make that beat you. Trust your corners to cover. Which...Evero will refuse to do 90% of the time. Random thought that popped in my head also, but I remember a 3rd and 1 play. Josh watches Horn back off Shakir (maybe?) about 7 yards. Josh throws a quick slant as soon as the ball is snapped, first down. Just a good team and QB exposing our poo. We're so afraid to give up a big play. Which I get, but you can't preach creating turnovers while never taking chances.

if using the season and Bryce's play as the reference marker.....odds are they wouldn't of scored much more. When Rico hasn't gone for 200+, the O with Bryce doesn't do the whole "offense" thing very well. It basically hasn't existed outside of those 2 games Rico would bonkers (Cardinals sort of let them have some offense to get back into that one).

Not Necessarily Panthers Related but....
Jon Snow replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
You are talking about the cost of the pick itself. I just don't see that has any bearing on the value of the player. What was offered for Burns was what he was worth to the Rams at the time. It did not mean he was actually worth what was offered. Scott Fitterer set his value to the Panthers as more than that. Did he somehow become a better player because of that alone? No, he was/is the same player. -
No one gets it after Blake scores Saturday. tonight, Jarvy

Ok boys we are back home. Ghost should be back. For some reason, the canes own Vegas here in Raleigh. Let’s do it again!

I suspect Coker can be better, but I haven't seen much evidence of Horn actually being better. Nuanced route running should not be taken lightly. If Horn ever reached the highest height that Renfrow has, I will be surprised. Coker may be able to do it, but it's certainly not a guarantee. I realize that Renfrow has been out of the game a few years, but I have seen evidence of him being his old self. That's also no guarantee, but I'm not certain that we'll ever be able to see any of these guysbteach their ceiling under the current circumstances.
-
Renfrow basically is exactly who we thought he was. He is a niche slot WR. But he doesn't fit the O or Bryce though. Renfrow needs a pretty good QB and scheme to be of use. Bryce Young flat can't even hit him when he is open. Folks saying Renfrow hasn't been good or washed are letting Bryce defense get in the way. It's also just denying reality we watched on the field of him being wide open over and over and Bryce not being able to hit the broad side of a barn. He probably has the best hands on the team though. He is the best short/classic slot route runner on the team and it's not really close. but we need to be developing Tmac, XL, Coker, Tremayne and Horn. I'd say only 2 guys are technically better than Renfrow right now in a vaccum and that is Tmac and Coker.
-
That's basically how I see it. He's obviously not washed. I've watched at least three vids showing how he was open and Bryce missing him. I've also seen evidence of him still putting people in a blender. But, if Bryce is going to miss him and Canales isn't going to use him, we may as well see what the young guys can do.
-
He’s been open, deep, a few times and Bryce has missed him. Oh well. Keep on using Tremayne and Jimmy

I have Jordan Love and Josh Allen in fantasy. Thought about starting Love...but I'm worried it's all Jacobs. I would hope we can rebound and have a respectable loss, but feels like one hell of an uphill battle right now.
-
They were not going to have it be otherwise, or have it even be a question I should probably say. At least by bringing in Hooker and White someone is doing something. Bare minimum.
-
Horn, Tremayne, and Evans need more snaps on offense. Horn especially, he's a spark and one of our only players capable of making a big play. On defense...get Nick Scott the fug out of here please. Let Ransom play and learn. And when Moehrig's specialty is basically being a linebacker, and giving up an untouched TD to Cook when he whiffed (which he does too much)...oof. Draft a legit LB and a legit Safety in 2026.
-
Thats the other part of it... a team isnt gonna sponsor a site for people to poo on them. Especially this team. Voth had to leave the Panthers cause they wanted all the in house media to create stories that effectively blew roses up ownerships butt. They'd shut a place like this down in 10 minutes. Tepper is quite the vain mother-flipper.

there's also mastodon or bluesky as alternatives (bluesky is more straightforward). Both do not have default algorithms so you're in 100% control of what you choose to see, so getting setup with a meaningful home feed is a bit more work than just logging in and scrolling. there are panthers fans (and reporters) over there chatting away
