How many Qbs can you name better than Bryce Young?
Khyber53 replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Okay, whatever. Some people can't resist taking a crap in another man's cleats. Even after the guy set the new franchise record for passing yards in a game, won that game and won it against our division rivals. Yeah, he's still a frog, warts and all. A lot of you are tired of kissing him. A lot of you just keep seeing the frog and want it gone, for your own good reasons. Truth is, though, the franchise is going to keep kissing this frog in hopes of finding a prince through the rest of this season, no matter what happens. We've got Andy Dalton on the bench, just keeping it from flying up in the air and basically no one on the active roster behind him. We have the veritable murderer's row of opponents coming up, including half of the game vs division opponents, including two versus the division leading Bucs. There's really not an easy game ahead of us unless New Orleans decides to pack it in early and just phone in a contractual obligated effort. The only way, the EFFING ONLY WAY, Bryce comes out of this turning into the prince is if he wins four or more of these games and somehow gets the team into the playoffs. And you can read it here, there are a lot of people here who are actually afraid of that because they could be proven wrong about him, that we could be saddled with a QB they don't like because of it. They'd fuging rather lose games and shorten the season to see Bryce fail, even if it means their team fails. Man, that's fuged up. Root for the team or go the fug on. If that means you've got to pull for the little guy in the fight, then you do. Hell, the odds are certainly stacked against him. But it sure would be nice if we hit a patch of magic after years of futility. But you guys would crap on that, too. Miserable old fugs. -
Warren has been a stud. Been a big boost for me in fantasy.

How would that work? 1st are we talking the one specific play or in general? I get one play, being a mistake.

I am not a stat head but I believe taking 4th down conversions would be considered a small sample size. Looking at the actual play, if it involved a throw especially, and assessing the difficulty of making that throw for the average player gives you a good idea. Have we not seen throwaways on 4th down? When if you had no play you could just chuck it deep and hope if your guy doesn’t get it the defense is dumb enough to catch it. -
I remember in a Super Bowl season for them, New England took an opening week ass whipping from the Bills. You see this type of stuff quite often early in the season. An eventual playoff team losing to a bottom dweller that comes out strong, isn’t that rare.

There is definitely a don’t fug up factor to winning in the NFL. In a true parity situation making the fewest mistakes is probably the number one factor in the outcome. I would add that in most jobs if you just handle the simple really easy to do poo like being on time and dressing properly, you are more than halfway secure.

Only team with a winning record…

You're right. I'm an idiot. -
That's the part that matters.

Well remember there was a story that someone was asked to help Remmers but they didn't do it. Don't think they ever named who but some suspect it was Tolbert. -
Dude I don't know were you think he played in the pre season but he 100% did not He has 9 career carries not 20.... or 3 lol. Either way 9 carries is 3 a game which isnt enough to get in rythym or know anything. https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/carolina-panthers/stats/2024?type=reg

The only point totals that matter are the ones at the end of a game. In 2003, we started off hot but got manhandled in game five by the Titans. People said that 'exposed us', but it just turned out to be a bump in the road. Individual games can be different than the overall narrative. Of course, to be clear, my view of this season's overall narrative doesn't have us in the playoffs or ending as an upper echelon team. Steps in the right direction perhaps, but we're still not that good...

I thought this was an interesting stat, we lead the nfl in fourth down attempts with 27.

Sorry I’m dumb when it comes to this stuff, what does this mean?

It's taken a while, but they've grown on me as alternates. I think they improved upon them from when they first came out. I think they should remain the alternate helmet though. Not for the main helmet. -
You gotta do a little more than just "work out so much" to get those kind of results. But yeah lol. He must have known how to time the test.
-
And then even crazier to watch Landry do it after he watched Boston do it.
-
Yeah, it was so wild to see him literally work out so much he ended his NFL career.

That's what made guys like Jerry Rice and Marvin Harrison so impressive. They played in eras where you could really rough up receivers and they weren't physically imposing guys but they were just so damn good it didn't matter.

Back in the early 2000s when you were allowed to mug WRs, looking like a Gears of War character as a WR seemed appealing.
