  1. Past hour
  2. I once worked for a company that believed anyone who was competent in one area would automatically be competent in another (i.e. the Jerry Richardson philosophy). Management had absolutely zero understanding of what a skill set was. As a result, what you got was people telling you that your performance wasn't good enough. But when you asked them how to make it better, they had no clue. "Be better!" "How?" "I don't know! Just do it or else you're fired!" Even though Richardson is long gone, I suspect there's still a lot of that kind of thing in the Panthers team culture.
  3. Once XL gets out there he was likely supposed to climb since JT0 would've ended up at the front pylon at the end of his route. Makes sense with the way things were drawn up. Doesn't mean the throw was any better, but it can be both a bad throw as well as a miscommunication. It just might not have been egregious as some of the more frustrated folks might have felt.
  4. Ex? I didn't know they got divorced. I saw her at davis bar last year.
  5. When everything is going perfect (incredibly strong running game, OLine keeping him clean) he can just about brush mediocre. It's damning how much Canales takes the ball out of his hands. Three first round picks for that, ladies and gentlemen.
  6. No hands on? Didn’t he just chewed Canales out after the game? I’d say that’s pretty hands on.
  7. The official story is that Tepper is no longer so hands-on as he used to be. If this is true, it's a start. It's not a guarantee of improvement though. There are still a lot of things that would have to change.
  8. If you can call being read the riot act constructive......
  9. You could put Madden as coach with prime Tom Brady into this team, we will win 3-5 games. It’s the culture… it’s toxic. After 8 years, some folks still did not figure it out.
  10. I think that is a nice way of saying I got my ass chewed out for being an incompetent dipsh*t.
  11. Assuming he plays like he did on Sunday rather than what he was down the stretch last year, I'd think it would depend on how the conversations behind closed doors go between Canales and Tepper. If Canales feels like he's on the brink of being fired, he probably pulls the plug quicker. If he has some assurances from Tepper that he will give him time, possibly allow him to draft his own QB for year 3, than he probably rides BY out to 100% know if they want to draft a guy or not.
  12. It's not week 1, it's year 8 of Tepper with zero winning seasons to show of it
  13. There are very few quarterbacks I would be comfortable ascribing that ability to. The vast majority require a strong team and organization around them to succeed. Bryce clearly isn't one of those guys, and he's never going to be one of those guys, but you don't absolutely have to have one of those guys if you have the right team building. I don't really think I have to say whether or not we have that here
  14. This is bullshit to cover for Bryce. Miscommunication or not, anyone under 15 feet tall wasn't catching that ball at the back pylon.
  15. Canales was asked by Person if he's had a conversation with Tepper yesterday and Canales said "yes, it was constructive".
  16. I’ll never forgive them for taking Young over Stroud. A blind man could see Stroud was the right pick during the draft but Tepper gonna Tepper.
  17. It's year 8 of Tepper. Outside of him, coaches, GMs and various others have changed multiple times and some haven't been here long enough to make any truly significant impact (Tilis being a prime example but you could argue for others)
  18. They should not be having these issues in year two of a coaches tenure. The 1st year coaches of the Jags didn't have these issues. Canales and Co. are not going to make it to year 3 at this pace.
  19. He is a cap guy. The threat is he accumulates more power than the cap guy should have with a crew change because I don't want a cap guy running the football team under Tepper. Much like when we kept Morgan when we should have done a complete tear down. Im on the fence personally. He should be keepable but given the history it might be better odds to not. It's like asking can Tepper finally do it the right way? Not a bet I would take sadly even if it should be attainable.
  20. But... but... but... Our receivers suck, it's the defense's fault, the oline should have been better, yadda yadda yadda (I'm sure I'm missing other excuses also) -Signed... most of our fans
