  1. Past hour
  2. Of course as a Panthers fan it’s always hard to be optimistic about prime time games. Especially with this group. That said, I’m gonna choose to be positive. First place in sight for our guys. I hope we come out and make a statement. Panthers 31 Niners 27
  3. I don't think the Clippers have anything to make a trade work on their own, but LaMelo to LA would be nice for all parties involved. I still think the answer is getting Brooklyn to bite. Nic Claxton and filler for LaMelo. Nets get a "star", Hornets get a good big man and something else...as well as off the contract. The Nets will likely try and flip MPJ at some point, who I wouldn't want, but a nice 3 team trade could help everyone solve some problems. LaMelo to Brooklyn, Nic Claxton and Kuminga to Charlotte, MPJ to GSW...toss in filler wherever.
  4. Panthers just need to win the 3 remaining division games. That’s it. It’s very simple. The NFC West games can add cushion to drop one of the games against the Bucs but with tiebreakers on the line, Panthers need to win both Bucs games and the Saints game to comfortably win the division.
  5. I would definitely take Canales over all these guys. Feels good.
  6. I think he is denying these takes, at least the ones about him wanting out of Charlotte, but you’re right - if anything he should be frustrated at his glass ankles just like the rest of the fanbase is. the best ability is availability and he doesn’t have it. I’m over it man.
  7. Jaycee Horn does the same seemingly. He is super grabby and physical all game, but the refs wait till its particularly impactful in the game to call the penalties. I'm constantly holding my breath on big third down incompletions that a yellow graphic doesn't appear on screen to keep the drive going.
  8. I can agree. But in that event it all depends on how we lose.
  9. Nothing matters unless Bryce continues to evolve as a passer. These two upcoming games will be the most consequential matchups of his career.
  10. I'm good with a split because the rams look like juggernauts
  11. Honestly, I view the rest of this season like every game is a division game - meaning you can throw the records out. Throw the perceived favorites out. Every week, we have to show up and punch them in their mouth. We’re gonna have to gut it out. We can’t go into games against well coached teams and think, “well, the Rams already got that one, McVay is just too good of a coach and they’re too talented.” “Can’t beat the Niners. Shanahan is one of the best and they just play everyone so tough, even with injuries.” We have to go into each game feeling like everyone counted us out and we have to show them why they’re wrong. And speaking of the Niners - that’s the exact blueprint we need to be looking at - for the last, it seems like at least 5 years, they have been decimated with injuries. And they still contend to win their division and make a run in the playoffs every year. Even while starting a plethora of QBs. Even with their best defensive players being out for the bulk of seasons… their DNA doesn’t change. They compete. Their standard is winning and nothing less, so even if you’re the 3rd stringer forced into action, either show up and play to that level or find another team. This should be our approach and I think the Saints game was an important wake up call… I occasionally listen to whatever ESPN show is on sports radio in the mornings with Chris Camry and I believe it was after we beat the Packers, they asked him about us and he said, “they’re a young team learning how to win.” And that is about as accurate or a description as you can get. It explains the hiccups and the struggles. But it also explains why it looks so good when we put it all together. What we need now is our guys to have that light bulb come on as a collective and never look back. I hope last week was the start of that and it continues tonight and for the rest of the season..
  12. The veterans played better last night and they actually were looking for Kon but Bridges and Sexton went for a combined 2-15 from three. That is so bad.
  13. https://www.talkbasket.net/206848-lamelo-ball-frustrated-by-hornets-struggles-amid-durability-concerns "Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball is reportedly frustrated by the team’s lack of forward progress, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer." Apparently in his mind being perpetually injured and playing less than Gordon Hayward while on a supermax contract has no effect on the forward progress of the franchise.
  14. If the Bucs have the 3rd easiest schedule coming in, and we're on it twice.....kinda says someting, dunnit?
  15. The Bucs stumbling is one of the least surprising things. They've been good but not nearly as unbeatable as some have suggested. And just like that. Tonight and the game against the Rams look pretty tough. If we can somehow come out on top in both I will be elated. But it's a tall order for our Panthers. We'll see.
  16. Today
  17. My gut tells me it gets ugly fast.
  18. Which Panthers team is showing up against the 49ers? The world beating, 400 yards passing Reaper Bryce team, or a team that looks like it was exposed to toxic levels of carbon dioxide on the plane ride to SF? Who knows? This team makes no sense and has zero consistency. The could score 0 points, or 30. No idea. And just when you write them off, they'll come out and dominate.
  19. Young is better than Bridgewater, and we're better than the injury riddled Bucs with Bridgewater at QB. We'll sweep the Bucs if Baker doesn't return imo. That's huge. We have a chance at he playoffs with a cheeks team. Nice.
  20. The injury riddled Bucs with Bridgewater at QB would lose to even bad teams imo. Baker's shoulder decides our fate imo.
  21. For the first time on a long time I actually think we have a decent shot at the playoffs. However, this all hinges on Baker missing several games. If he recovers quickly, then we're back to being cooked.
  22. We have the 5th hardest remaining schedule. Bucs third easiest. https://www.tankathon.com/nfl/remaining_schedule_strength Baker with his arm in a sling is analogous to playing with Bryce Young.
  23. If Baker is out for a while, the bucs could lose any of those games they have left. We'll see though. We just need to handle our business and split these next two since I really don't think we can beat that rams team
  24. What is the latest on Baker? Our team is mediocre but with Baker in a sling we have a reasonable chance at making the playoffs. Bridgewater can only do check downs at this point in his career, so any team the Bucs play without Baker is an L imo. This is the best news all season.
  25. If Baker is done, bucks schedule just got a lot harder,
  26. Not only do we have the hardest schedule, the Bucs might have the easiest. Besides us twice, they have the Cardinals, Saints, Falcons and Dolphins.
  27. I see it this way, we could beat the Saints on the road, Seattle at home. Will probably lose to the Niners and Rams. That means we are 8-7 excluding the Bucs games. For us to win the division, we could hope to tie the Bucs and win the head-to-head. to do that, we have to sweep Tampa Bay and finish 10-7 (yes--the Saints loss is killer). Here is why: The Bucs, on the other hand, have an EASY schedule. AT HOME: Cardinals, Falcons, Saints, Panthers. AWAY: Panthers and Dolphins. I see them winning at least 4 more games. If they beat the Cards, the Falcons, the Saints, and the Dolphins, they have 10 wins. Probably expected because no team has over 4 wins except the Panthers. Even if Baker is out, I see them winning 4 down the stretch, making their overall record 10-7 if they lose both games to the Panthers. If so, we go. While it could happen; I sense the Panthers are starting to feel it, but I thought that before the home game vs. New Orleans, so we shall see. I give the Panthers about a 10-20% chance of pulling it off
