I'm 35 years removed from it, live within walking distance of West Ashley High, and an easy drive over to Summerville High in SC, and I have never and would never attend a game. I don't think I would go to a game at my HS alma mater for that matter unless I was physically forced. To each their own.

I suspect it is Burrow’s way of expressing frustration at the current state and direction of the team and basically saying - sort it out, or I’m out. Now that could be retirement, or it could be him wanting out via a trade, either way, shots fired. That said, I know that coverage has changed over the years and become more 24/7. We also have a generation (mine included) that talk more about needing to enjoy their careers rather than simply fulfilling the obligation of working. With that in mind, it would be interesting to compare how the QBs of the 70s, 80s and 90s would talk and handle things in a world where the cameras and coverage doesn’t stop. It would be interesting to see how they’d handle things compared to modern day athletes.

Bryce is such a little bitch......NO TDs in the Superdome that's pathetic! "Bad Bryce" is usually the one that shows up obviously from those numbers and the eyeball test. I'm rooting for the Panthers all day everyday obviously but I have 0.00000% faith in Bryce Young winning us this game Sunday and to say that about your starting QB is telling. -
True. He's pretty mediocre at check downs.

I mean get the run game going, limit Bryce to under 30 throws, Have Brown wreak havoc up the middle and hope to get a couple turnovers? That's basically been the game plan all year. Hopefully a fresh Rico and Chuba will negate that stacking of the box they were able to pull off last time. Aside from one or two throws here and there we're still getting passing yard mostly off of yac as well so if they stack the box just get Chuba and Rico both back there, option the handoff to Chuba, send Rico on a flat and send Jimmy Horn on a jet sweep and confuse the hell out of them lol. -

Thought that was pretty fair and fairly thorough. -
I told yall, the JLo mojo is working its magic. Because in real-time, no way Mooney or Cousins recovered those fumbles. They didn’t. And that last Pitts TD was definitely not a TD.

Damn, And kind of wanted to watch and don’t realize it was this week. I’m Fayetteville born and raised but moved out to the Clayton area after college. Saw Clayton was having a great year and was hoping they would win it all, but I had no idea the #1 QB in the country was on the opposing team.

Alarming is anyone who thinks Bryce is a checkdown artist bc he is absolutely not and I’m not sure what sport you be watching

Where does the Panthers radio team rank?
Jackie Lee replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh god I almost completely forgot about him now I'm having flashbacks. New team gets an A in that case -
Grimsley won. I turned the game off early in the 4th.. The refs made it unwatchable. Flags every play with five minute ref conferences to discuss all of them. The 3rd quarter took 53 minutes. HS quarters are 12 minutes. That was a three and a half hour football game that didn't go into OT with 12 minute quarters. That's basically like the first three quarters if an NFL game taking three and a half hours. Absurd. Just tell those refs their services won't be needed going forward.

From Awful Announcing... =+=+=+ 17. Carolina Panthers (Anish Shroff, Jim Szoke; also rotating analysts including Jake Delhomme, Luke Kuechly, Jordan Gross, Kurt Coleman, Jonathan Stewart, and Kevin Donalley): 2.37 Most common grade: B (32.7% of votes) Percentage of A/B/C grades: 74.0% The Panthers also have many figures listed here, but most are rotating analysts who sometimes join the main team of Shroff and Szoke. There are other times where it’s Shroff with two of these guest analysts, though. This group received 34 Bs out of 104 total votes. The comments here saw a lot of debate over Shroff. One A voter found him “an excellent addition, with the right blend of passion and information” (he’s held this role since 2022), but others were more critical. Lines there included “the weak link; fine for TV, not a good fit for a local radio ‘homer’ role” and “another double-duty announcer working a lot on Fridays in CFB, but light on personality.” Other respondents criticized this overall setup as “too many people” and “too inconsistent.” But there was some praise for Delhomme and Kuechly. One F voter took exception to the booth’s overall homerism, though, saying, “The way the announcing team always talks about ‘us’ and ‘we’ in-game as opposed to saying Panthers or Carolina is completely unprofessional. Awful to listen to.” https://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/2025-local-radio-announcer-rankings.html

Yeah, I think it's only been there for a little over 10 years or something. I graduated HS in 2000 so there's a poo ton of schools that I'm like "who???"

The key to winning is to simply have Bryce do what a certain other little fellow from Atlanta rapped about..... -
There’s nothing weird about watching HS football. I’m just 10 years removed from it and I remember the excitement. It’s about as pure as football gets, playing for the love of the game.

Yea it's like Carolina giving Nadeau, Stankoven/Blake, Nikishin plus a first. I'm sure that's pretty close to what Vancouver was asking for from the canes. Crazy haul imo. -

This is over. Clayton can't even snap the ball in the 2nd half. 21-7 and Clayton has three bad snaps resulting in fumbles in the 3rd quarter.

These are pretty realistic impressions of our season so far and the inconsistency from Bryce just in the last 5 games being literally his best games and also some of his worst. -
