Bryce's approach to the game is the same he had to the combine. Do as little as possible without exposing his weaknesses. Clausen is 6'3" so he could see the field Bryce can't so there are throws he could make that Bryce would have to throw blindly. Clausen was also not very bright so he doesn't play scared. Literally his only win they ran it 18 times and didn't throw once to close out the game. That was his best game lol. Even a turd can shine in the right light. I'd be happy to buy very low on Richardson, like a 5th round pick, but I'd absolutely sit him next year and work on his footwork. Lord knows what the Colts are going to do with him - they've already ruined him.

Cam made Devin fuggin Funchess look decent, and XL has WAY more athletic ability and potential than Devin Funchess ever had. It's the QB. How are you supposed to evaluate WRs when your QB can't even muster up 100 yds passing in the modern NFL?

It blows my mind that it took nine games for an opponent to figure this out.

Just do what the Saints did and make Bryce throw for more than 120 yards to beat you...sell out everything to stop the run and just watch us implode.

This is an overreaction. As down as I am on them, and as much of a must win as Sunday was, we still have a solid team, and some winnable games. Chicago has a murderers row schedule remaining. We play Tampa Twice. The playoff window is still wide open, but I don't expect us to climb through it. While I don't think were good enough to pencil in an W's, I'm not sure were bad enough that any remaining game is unwinnable.

That was a very technical catch and we've already discussed that he's raw as a WR. Early in his career, while he's developing, he's meant to get the ball on jet sweeps, drags, slants etc - i.e. extended handoffs. He's already shown he can take the top off a defence and he can make difficult catches. He wasn't worth the 1st round pick, but there's clearly a lot of talent there.

I'm not sure. I remember Clausen being worse than Young but when I look at Clausens highlight reel on Youtube he's clearly making throws downfield off of his back foot that Young simply can't - unless he's running forward to launch it. But yeah Clausen didn't belong on the field whereas Young will occasionally climb the pocket and deliver a strike.

I've switched to watching nfl gameday live on nfl network. They are live streaming scoring highlights in every game as they happen and score updates. No need to sit through the entire game when you can follow the score and keep up with other games as well. Its the first time in my 30 years of following this team that I intentionally miss the games.
