Hopefully these new guys light a fire under Ball's ass and he either wakes up or we trade him. It is pitiful how much Ball is wasting his potential at the expense of the team.

He most certainly was not "straight garbage" in Indy. He was a meh coach and btw he was dealing with another lunatic meddling owner. And if we are being honest, we would kill for his results in Indy at this point. I would say all things considered he did perfectly fine.

I dont hate him at all, Tepper tied his hands. Is he a great coach, nah, probably about average if that, but he was fed a load of horse poo and told to go deal with it. A nfl coach should be able to pick his qb, pick his staff, and not have front office breathing down his fuging neck 24/7. And now I feel disgusting for having to defend Reich. Revis and Gilmore, along with Ramsey are the only two guys I can think of that really impacted games. However, what did those guys always have in front of them? A great front 7. Without a good front seven, any corner is going to have issues. Without a good front 7, you will still lose games, no matter if you have the best corner of all time.

Yea I wouldn't wager on that. But as far as Hunter goes...that Colorado game matched the two up about 5 times. McMillian caught 3 of the 5, all for short gains with one being a TD. But speaking of Travis Hunter, when asked who was the toughest WR he had to cover, he responded TMac. Jus Saying

You can build around corner. We actually had a pro bowl guy he was just on a song of a contract. He got mega paid cause corners are prized. Hint, they are prized for a reason.

I agree, and the first four should be Thielen, XL, Tet, and Coker. That leaves three with one odd man out. Horn's kick return abilities should give him a slight edge, but its to early to say for certain, given that he has never played an NFL down.

Not that much of a stretch he's only 29. At this point he's likely to contribute as much or more than Thielen at a fraction of the cost.

For me it's the combination of the loyalty to two aging veterans paired with whatever is going on at linebacker. Just a little too much of the same old Panthers. I can't imagine this news about Jewell just came out of left field. I don't expect them to have corrected the linebacker room entirely but there's really no excuse to have allowed it to be this thin either.

The only thing confusing about the safety group to me is redundancy. Moehrig, Richardson, and Ransom all look to be good and potentially good box safeties. We never really got that ball hawking FS we needed IMO. It might still work out, but whoever is playing FS would be playing a position that doesn't fully play to their strengths IMO.

Do you not remember what our defense was like with Kuechly? And then without him? Cornerback is the least important position on defense, followed by safety. The most important are DT's, then DE's, then ILB, then OLB, then safety, then corner. You build inside out and front to back.

thanks @Captain Morgan as always with the updates I'm digging what I'm hearing about Demani Richardson. He's the guy not talked about as much. It seems they've got a good grip on what they have with him after a lot of playing time to close out 2024. Seems to have trust and I'm hearing good stuff.
