  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah that pass rush is kind of a big deal. He was getting beat though, off the snap not (just) after 5 seconds of defending the scramble drill. He has to do better. And yes we have to help them with a better pressure package.
  3. Bryce actually made plays down the field consistently in this game, first time ive seen him consistently throw down feild ill take a game like this over one with his 80% completion percentage and 70 yards all day.
  4. Horn is a guy who would be a monster with an actual pass rush though... no dbs can cover consistently for 3+ seconds
  5. QB quality has been up and down long before the NIL. In the end, I think it will have a big net positive NFL impact on QB specifically as it has kept QB's that would have been incentivized to leave early to stay in school and either get more development or get more game tape to evaluate properly. This has already been evident with a lot of players dropping precipitously as they stay in college and prove they are not first round caliber QB's. The transfer portal has also had a big net positive impact on prospects overall because it gives you the ability to evaluate them in different systems and situations. It has removed a ton of risk from NFL evaluations as a result.
  6. On offense it isn't such a big deal if you are consistent on 1sr and second down on defense this is an absolute killer.
  7. I think most people recognize that he is very talented and want him to pan out. He isn't a distraction or an asshat but he still does things he did as a rookie at times and there are also instances where you wonder if he wants to win a championship or just live the NBA life. Staying healthy is the key above all else though. Availability at this point is all that matters. That's still not looking good. Also as an aside I really don't like comparisons to Cam Newton in this instance because Cam Newton already was a confirmed winner when he came to Carolina and you never questioned his goal of that as a competitor. Truthfully LaMelo Ball and his brothers whether anyone likes it or not have never won anything of note and have largely looked like guys that just want the money and fame.
  8. Can’t argue much with it. Good linebackers would make a huge difference. Jewel wasn’t great but losing him really hurt. We were basically practice squad level a good deal of the time there. Wallace needs to get on the stick, I had hopes for him when they took him but those have been downgraded. I don’t think he will ever be much. edit/PS we did improve, substantially. Despite the remaining issues. A lot of the problem early was likely an issue of integrating new guys and getting them on the same page. We seemed to have fewer blown coverage assignments n the back end as the year progressed.

  10. It makes no sense to have two ultra high priced OG's and Lewis is actually exceptional in run blocking and pass protection. Hunt is basically an exceptional run blocker only.
  11. I blame the players maybe not being good enough to implement the scheme. Also I blame the players, mostly, for their crappy tackling. But the coaches needed to nip that in the bud. And did not. We addressed the edge pressure with substantial draft capital this year, but they weren’t top shelf already there guys. Scourton is young as hell. It takes time though, and yes adding a real stud would be great. I am now afraid this Icky thing thwarts that or could. The best hope I have for Horn is the concussion affected him because most of his bad play seemed to come after that happened. But now he has a second one. Obviously he was disappointing down the stretch.
  12. The bad games far outweigh the good games, and some of the "good" games are just mediocre. To your last question: Brave browser.
  13. I bet it happens. Do we trade for Ned as well?
  14. And that 1.1. They have a long way to go, but it is sort of a blank slate for a coach to work with.
  15. I feel like the Raiders job is top 3 opening. Mendoza, Crosby, Bowers, Jeanty and 100M in cap space to spend
  16. Head coach and coordinator require different skill sets. Couple of guys have all the skill sets, it is rare. EE could transition, never know until you put him in the job, like all coordinators who get the chance to try being HC. And that is why I was really never against hiring retreads. I think it is an acquired skill for some and they can learn a lot from their failure the first time. Of course some just plain are not cut out for it.
  17. Ginn is from Ohio so whatever on the location. I'm probably not going to watch much but I'm going to support former players when I can
  18. Evero could be a better hc than he is a dc. I don't think he's a very good dc unless his talent is a perfect fit for the scheme. No one else may be willing to take the Raiders job
  19. I don't think McDaniel wants to put himself in another bad QB situation. I'd definitely take the Detroit oc job over atl head gig if I'm him
  20. I think he's saying you should have rooting interest because of ginn and cpt not that Charlotte is actually going to have a team
  21. Yeah me too. I have only said so almost daily for three years. I do see his improvement, but like I said it still comes up short of expectations. Or requirements. And I long ago gave up expecting 1.1 overall highest level play (actually never expected it, sadly). Just good will do. I guess one more damned year of rollout backyard football is on the menu. Raise your floor Bryce. No more fuging every other week maybe you play well then you go back to rookie Bryce level the next week. More LA Rams Bryce no more SF Bryce.
