  1. Past hour
  2. You’re right. I will never get over the DT who was gonna be the LOT with one offseason, Byron Bell, stuff like that. I just have a negative opinion of him through that memory. Matt Khalil? Was that Gettleman too?
  3. Our offensive line has been nothing but a mash unit that its parts being constantly rotated all season long. This doesn't get discussed much when the discussion is any individual offensive performances, which is crazy. As the play of the line is the most important, especially if the rest of the offense is to execute consistently. The saints game, the offensive line didn't play well at all. This game, the offensive line must perform better.
  4. I’m sorry man, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I think you missed my point.
  5. We deserved to win that SF game going by the defense being lucky. If the offense can step up a level then the defense will get some more scrutiny because the pass rush would likely be a bigger focus. People throwing to catch up, and being allowed to. Because of no pressure. We have quite a ways to go still.
  6. If the Saints win two of their 4 wins will be over the Panthers. I would say getting swept by them would be proof we don’t deserve it. At least we have the games in front of us still. This is on track with the projected best case outcome back in August.
  7. I have a hard enough time knowing what day it is without an early gameday thread
  8. I wouldn’t say clueless. He drafted Daryl Williams, Moton, Norwell, and Trai Turner. But left tackle though, ooh we mayne. Other than Michael Orr working for one season, he dicked up LT badly.
  9. The paragraph I was talking about was about how we got "lucky" by getting those turnovers. We forced those turnovers and deserved to win the game. I get your point and hopefully we get more consistency from the offense.
  10. Let’s just play the Saints first. People are looking ahead big time. I surely hope the team isn’t - I don’t think they are because of being embarrassed the last game with the Saints.
  11. He probably still has good arm strength. I'm sure he hasn't lost his competitive drive. I imagine he still has enough between the ears to not be a dumb player. I'm in my mid-50s, not disabled or anything like that, but I can confirm that the knees and hips and shoulders and back are absolutely not the same that I had in my 20s. Hope it works out for him. Maybe the AFC championship game can be between him and old man Rodgers.
  12. Could we have a defensive breakdown and a good offensive day? Yes we could. Who knows what to expect from this team, but generally when you think about why we have lost games, it has been underperforming on offense more times than in the other phases. People should be shining the light on them. They are the unit that has another step to take. This game will probably hinge on them taking it or stumbling over it.
  13. I forgot who it was but they said he was a taller Thielen and I thought that a perfect comparison, both are finesse route runners with great ball skills. Jackson was a much more physical down field receiver
  14. If they come out doing the same thing, only hoping to execute it better, or whatever nonsense, it will be another loss.
  15. T-Mac reminds me a lot of Larry Fitzgerald. I'm not saying he's gonna be Fitzgerald but they're both guys who are big receivers who win more on crisp route running and natural hands and ball skills than on just overpowering physical domination.
  16. We didn't split carries with Rico and Chuba. Rick got 18 out of 21 RB carries. Bryce / others didn't execute to force the Saints off the LoS and we couldn't move the ball as a result. I don't think Horn slips twice so I suspect we win a close game
  17. Not only do we win the division if we win our next two games, we eliminate the Bucs and send them home if we win our next two. It's always nice sending a division rival packing. We have to do this.
  18. Agreed. Highly unlikely we sweep Tampa. They need to take care of business tomorrow. I’m excited. Some questions will be answered tomorrow.
  19. With a win our playoff odds go from 47% to 62%. A loss would drop them to 24%. So yeah, pretty close to a must win game.
  20. Today
  21. Let’s just keep the guy healthy, he will grow right into those kind of shoes. Looking at our history, I would say he is a clear notch above DJ Moore. Which is exciting to think about.
  22. I gotta point out Gettleman’s first draft where he did in fact fix some poo that had been plaguing the DL for years. Clueless on the OL though.
  23. Should have been 6 things. Panthers pass pro. I think they are gonna have to throw to get NO out of the box and if they can’t it won’t be pretty. Besides Horn falling down my basic memory from the last game is running the ball into a pile of Saints and getting very little. If we find ourselves there again we need to counter.
  24. The difference is Rico and Chubba are full strength. Last time we were splitting carries and we should have been riding Rico. This time I believe Chubba and Rico both will have solid games.
  25. If we lose tomorrow we’d have to sweep the Bucs in order to get into the playoffs. With a loss tomorrow the Bucs would then hold the tie breaker if we finished tied If we can’t split with NO then we sure as hell not sweeping Tampa It’s win or go home tomorrow in my eyes Biggest game since 2017 playoff game imo
  26. Grok AI: No, there are no credible reports that the Carolina Hurricanes offered Jake Guentzel the same contract terms as Tampa Bay (7 years, $63 million total, $9 million AAV) before he signed with the Lightning. Reliable sources, including The Athletic, consistently reported that Carolina’s offer during negotiations was an eight-year deal worth $64 million ($8 million AAV). Guentzel did not accept it promptly, leading the Hurricanes to trade his negotiating rights to Tampa Bay on June 30, 2024, for a 2025 third-round pick. He then quickly signed the 7x$9M deal with the Lightning on July 1, 2024. Guentzel himself later reflected (in 2025 interviews) that staying in Carolina was his initial preference, but negotiations stalled and “didn’t work out,” with Tampa’s opportunity becoming a “no-brainer.” No reports from outlets like ESPN, NHL.com, or insiders (e.g., Elliotte Friedman, Pierre LeBrun, Frank Seravalli) indicate Carolina ever matched or offered the Lightning’s exact terms—total money, AAV, or length. The extra year was Carolina’s key advantage, but they reportedly stuck closer to $8M AAV and moved on when Guentzel explored options.
