The fact that people want us to use a draft pick on a guy solely for the purpose of having them QB sneak on 4th and 1 explains why our team has been void of talent via the draft the past decade... You can literally find just about any QB off the streets to do that job.

Would kenyon sadiq fill 2 needs?
PleaseCutStewart replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you are running man defense, probably. If you are running zone, not as definitive you need a safety or nickel on him -
His contract is that high because of natural salary cap increases. Once dudes like Dejean, Witherspoon, McDuffee, Gonzalez, etc. reach their 2nd contract, they will be paid more than Horn. It's the case for any very good/elite player that reaches their 2nd contract - they usually become one of the highest paid players at their position. Only thing that has me on the side of trade is the multiple concussions he suffered last year.

JR gave TD a chance to come back. I would be in favor of some type of creative way to give him a path to getting a chance here. This is complicated because of where he is in the contract ‘cycle’. We are on the hook for a lot of money this year. If there was a way to free some up by adding a (much) smaller amount to the deal and having it extend an extra year to allow him to try to come back, as was proposed earlier? I am not bullish on his prospects but would be good with exploring that approach.

Y'all realize that if we trade Horn, we are going to have to draft a corner high because all we have is Mike Jackson (29 years old) and a punch of scrubs or unknowns at corner. We are also trading away one of our maybe 3 guys on defense that are actually good. Let's also keep in mind how awful we have drafted the past decade (minus last year). And.... the Rams will probably be a top 5 team in the NFL next year, so a future 1st from them won't be as appealing. If the Rams offer both of their 1sts this year for Horn, sure (doubt this will happen). Otherwise, I'll pass

You can get that from someone already on the team. You can use anyone for a qb sneak and on 4th and 1. You don't draft someone specifically for that. Use a TE or RB, hell even an olinemen. You telegraph it either way because you change out players.

Hot take, they have the most talented roster in the east. If not the most talented it's 100% the most desirable for the future

Not after the injury he suffered. Gotta see how he does when he comes back (probably the 2027 season) to see how his burst and lower body balance/strength looks before even thinking about an extension

Yeah the bench last night was awesome. There was times we had all three rookies on the court and you have to love that. Kaulk is getting better and learning how to use his size. Sion had a game. Grant and Green have been so great coming in. I really like this team. The only player that gives me pause is when we have Tre Mann out there but should be limited if Colby can keep playing. And Moose is such a fan favorite. Dude plays so hard. Obviously Miller/Kon/Melo are our scorers but I feel Moose is the heart of the team and gets everyone fired up. The hive looked rocking last night too.

I get this sentiment but a smaller tackle would be prone to get beat by bull/power rushers. He played with a torn labrum all season and had zero pressures allowed against a very good Georgia pass rush. I think all the LT prospects have issues. I am starting to like Freeling at 19 if he is there.

Best case for Ickey right now might be to take over at a Guard spot anyway, or come back as the 6th offensive lineman. I love Ickey and hope he comes back strong, but the odds aren't in his favor at all. Signing him to anything right now is how bad teams stay bad.

Not worth it for *just* a 1st this year IMO because you've just got to turn around and replace him. If there's more picks, yep. To me, the best thing about trading Horn is getting out from under that contract. Obviously we hope he stays healthy, but that's a lot of money committed to a zone corner who doesn't travel, can't tackle, and has his injury history.

2 back of Orlando and Miami 2.5 back of Philadelphia We play Orlando once Miami twice Philly once The 6th seed is totally within reach. Edited to add this tidbit Since the start of 2026, the hornets net is 11.1, not only is that's tops in the NBAnfor the current season... It would be 8th all time in NBA history. 1st in offrtg at 121.8 5th in defrtg at 110.7

Really like this guy as a slot WR. Him and the Iowa guy Wetjen.

Boom has massive upside. But he has wr been great or even good since they announced he was a part of Quinn Hughes package. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had an agent telling him protect himself right now. It just doesn’t look like boom out there. He won’t hit. Defense isn’t good. Something is up.

Heavy CMac vibes. Stronger but not as agile.

Man both the heels and state won their Superbowl this year, that's crazy.

We don't know how it's going to turn out at the moment as he's just had the surgery, but I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back and isn't anywhere near the same player.
