  1. Past hour
  2. I will say it fir the 100th time. Picking up the 5th year option makes no sense and is fuging stupid
  3. Dude is sandwiched between Blaine Gabbert and Joey Harrington and people are debating whether to only pick up a $26 mill option, or if we should go ahead and give him a multi-year extension
  4. The stadium was full, but for some reason they had lights on the seats so you couldn't see the audience, it was really off putting. The woman's match felt like it lasted 3 days.. there was just nothing to cheer for. I fell asleep during Gunther match, he is the biggest nothing I ever seen in WWE. He's like a less charismatic JBL.. Boring . Roman winning was OK, it just felt like it should've been LA knights time to shine.
  5. Zero expectations. B2b, matinee, quality opponent (who also played last night), and giving up a ridiculous number of SOG. None of this bodes well for the Canes. Prove me wrong.
  6. What value does David Newton bring? All he does is regurgitate information provided here and other sources. No real insight or analysis provided that we don’t already know. He’s supposedly an insider without real insider knowledge.
  7. it is. It sucks watching the other qbs in the playoffs and how they move and throw in the weather and thinking we have no shot in our current qb situation.
  8. Kmet for XL straight up. We need a proven TE and I don't want us reaching this draft. If we take a day 3 flyer again, okay, but not on day 1 or day 2. Much bigger needs with those three picks over a TE. Also, we need production now, not production in a year or two. Hey, this worked out well for us once before. "Carolina hasn't gotten a season of at least 400 receiving yards out of one of their tight ends since 2019. (Yeah, when Greg Olsen was still around.)" https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2026/01/31/nfl-trade-rumors-panthers-bears-cole-kmet/88446124007/
  9. It’s because they aren’t sexy picks and they make those picks for bad teams, like us, because they don’t know our roster composition. You don’t continue to pour your high end resources on a 3 man front.
  10. Today
  11. A lot of mocks are zeroing in on us taking Woods or McDonald. I don't love either of those guys. At this point, Styles does not make past #15 with Dallas the most common landing spot. The Saints are the favorites to land Bailey. The top tier OTs are always gone, with Lomu creeping up on some mocks. He may make it to a top 20 prospect. I am really leaning to a move back. If mocks are stating that Woods and McDonald are the best fit on the board for us at #19, we could move back several spots and land someone just as good, if not possibly one of those guys anyways.
  12. I think if you go OT it has to be someone who is proven to play on the left. At pick 20 you might have Lomu or Proctor there. Lomu has great feet, will he handle the power of the NFL? Proctor has the power, does he have the agility to stay at tackle?
  13. While I really hope things pan out for the young man, sometimes you've got to make a calculated guess on your returns. I wanted so bad to see us use our first round pick on a LB, C or TE this season, but I think this one injury changes everything. I might suggest taking the best and the second best OTs available in the draft with our first and second round picks. The injury to Icky really makes the first one a good choice and an affordable one. And Moton, who is long in the tooth, needs someone in the wings behind him. This also means that BC is going to need to get a contract for this upcoming season both as a starter at LT and to train the younger player behind him. Also it means that we need to extend a solid contract to Cade Mays and lock him down as our Center for the next four years. Maybe Icky can recover fully and be a starting LT again, but the odds aren't in his favor. Maybe he could be back in line to play as a guard right as our current starters' contracts wind down. It's not pretty having to spend all your picks and money on the line, but it seems to be the wise investment in light of everything.
  14. Unfortunate situation. if one of the top LTs fall in the draft I think it’s a no brainer draft pick. Then if icky returns he can move to guard and replace one of our highly paid guards that are here now.
  15. I dont really expect anyone to have any character or values when the system doesn't. I would respect those who did though. College Football is losing what little interest I had in it. I wasn't against giving the athletes some control but whatever this system is will kill it over time.
  16. I think having consistency and keeping most of the unit is key to success and one reason the oline did not fall apart despite all the injuries. Was it 11 different combinations? Have to give credit to the O-line coach also. but... an aging unit, probably mean a higher risk of injuries. So with a unit of 9 players, cant just add vets to the group. Then you probably end up with having to draft multiple players some drafts.
  17. Snowed a lot in Wilmington as of 2am
  18. Man, I wish I could comment more educated on this. Seems like you nailed it. Like I said, I haven't really followed it since like 2016 when my company did an exclusive Finn Balor metal die cast toy figure with Toys R Us. That seems like when it all died.
  19. I think we agree that the system is fuged up. And I agree any team on the wrong side of what Mensah did would be pissed. I don't agree with what Mensah did, being a 46 year old, well off, white dad of a 5 year old. I, like you, would want my son to honor a commitment he made. But our reality is different from theirs, and that forces unpopular decisions and moves. And I'll probably have to make some of those, maybe not as public as this, but I can be empathetic to it. The whole thing was handled poorly by Mensah's family / team, but talent barks way louder than mistakes. Sad, but the world we live in. I'll be back in Chapel Hill for the Halloween game vs Miami in 2026, so I hope we burn his season down.
  20. What's the reason behind the court and jerseys? Even down and out years I see Hornets gear in NYC all the time just because it's nice colors for the lids people and sneaker heads
  21. Nijman and BC will cost between $7 and $8m. Mays will be around $10-12m. If we are not going to upgrade at LT, we probably need to at C---but I am high on Mays.
  22. Yeah. WWE is suffering horribly from top star fatigue. What I mean by that is other than Cody and Punk, they don’t have a mix of stars and legacy talent under HHH. Brock and Roman show up from time to time. Cena is gone. Stone cold rock and taker only show up rarely anymore. Jey USO is a mid card. Gunther is completely rejected by the fans. No one wants him as the top heel. They need true legacy or heels. Seth is a great heel but he is hurt. The fact HHH won’t push La Knight is mind boggling seeing how over he is. The woman’s division is poo at best. Rhea is cool. Charlotte is boring now. Becky is utter boring. Bayley could be great but they won’t push her. The rest are boring. HHH has major egg on his face with having the Saudies build a 50k stadium and 35 showed up. The product is 2016 bad right now. It needs stars pushed and legacy characters. It’s bad. It’s worse than I could imagine. They peaked under hhh in 23-24 and it’s gone down hill since.
