  3. I'll do both good and bad. Good Plays very well off schedule can make plays happen with his feet when needed Pretty good out of pocket on throws when he remembers his feet Meh Average athleticism Average to below average arm talent Bad Size / frame Footwork and mechanics (this is really his biggest flaw that's fixable)
  4. Yes average or slightly below average, his biggest problem is his footwork. He doesn't use proper footwork all the time. When he does he can throw the ball 55-60 yards air yards and do it accurately. It's just he hardly ever uses proper footwork and lower body mechanics so it's not seen very often.
  5. They have coddled him up to this date lol. They brought in zero competition this offseason. He obviously needs to be pushed at a competition level but it's just been him as the starter and Dalton laying back getting paid as the emergency backup. I wouldn't run a qb room like that personally
  6. If Bryce is out I'll like to see what Dalton can do with this offense the last time he was called up he didnt have much to work with. A disgruntled Diontae Johnson and old man Theilen. We have the deepest receiver room we've had in a long time. Some good young TE's. And strong rushing attack with Rico (should be Rb1) and Chuba. Good offensive line depth. Say what you want when Dalton came in the passing game started pushing the ball down the field, not so much with Bryce. Young stats: 15-25 for 138 yards and his two longest pass plays went to Chuba for 26 yards and Rico for 17 yards. Dalton stats: 4-7 for 60 yards he eclipsed almost half of Youngs yardage in just 4 pass completions. We have outside weapons we need to be able to keep defenses honest in order to make this offense work.
  7. He excels at being a complimentary piece for our offense and a centerpiece for the opposing defense.
  8. So I completely agree with you that they for once did what they're supposed to do. It's why I'm pretty happy with the win. And we have a fuging winning record!!! But I'm also not gonna stop wanting and hoping for other improvements with my posts. Not that I have any control.
  9. I think this decision caused that game to be much closer than it should have. They essentially split carries and Roco had double the production, I think had those Chuba plays gone to Rico we would have had a much better run game and flow on offense. Thankfully the defense stepped up and saved a game the head coach and offense was trying to blow.
  10. I do not believe there is anyone at any significant level of the organization (fo/staff) that wants this team to lose on Sunday at this point to make Bryce look good. Early in his career he was coddled, yes. But we are still in the playoffs and losing would cause a blow while beating the bills would be amazing And realistically nobody has to worry about The Rusty Rocket really going on a tear, even if we'd like to
  11. No I meant last year's Atlanta game. I legitimately didn't even consider him in this year's LMAO
  12. I'm down to send a 6th to bring in Howell - 3,946 yards in his season as a starter vs 2,877 and 2,402 from BY in his first 2. He needs to clean up his INTs and he takes too many sacks, but at least he can move the ball. Let DC do his QB whisperer thing on him and see how it goes. Worst case scenario you're not losing out on that much anyway. Also, wouldn't mind bringing in Mariota, but I doubt the Commies would trade him. Daniels has been banged up somewhat regularly and MM has played well when needed. They could still potentially push for a playoff spot, so don't see them giving up a guy they may need to start at QB at some point. Quality backup QB play for a few games could be the difference between them making or missing the playoffs, so doesn't really make sense for them.
  13. Any qb with our run game and current defense can do what he's been doing. Maybe not Hooker because he went to Tennessee but you could sign Heinicke tmrw and get the same production as Bryce next game lol.
  14. Bills are 31st in rushing defense. I would be cool with trotting out Hooker and running the option all game.
  15. I had this exact conversation with my father earlier in the week. Canales had the easiest way out by just saying 'he'll be on a pitch count', and just see how things unfold. Instead we got this lopsided mess where Rico clearly has the hot hand for the year so far.
  16. I hope not. 3rd-5th round QB's are historically awful. Most of the time that team is just drafting another QB in the first the following year. Look at the Saints, if they continue to suck this year they are just taking a QB. And if they do they just threw away a 2nd round pick that they just drafted. We did the same poo with Clausen, Greer, Pike, that guy we drafted a few years ago who is so irrelevant I forgot his name... Just take a 1st round QB if Bryce isn't the answer and be prepared to live with it
  17. This reminds me on Madden where you create an alternate uniform and the pre-recorded voice overs talk about how hideous your uniform looks.
  18. There are people on this forum that just want to see a lot of passing yards....number go up. That's all it is, really. They are thirsting for a 350-400 yard game. The idea that Jameis Winston is going to come in and play like a star and lead us to wins is ludacris. He's the 3rd fuging string for a 2-5 team and has played horrible for years now. Sure, passing numbers will go up but you'll also get a lot of dumb plays, pick 6's, and incompletions en route to a frustrating bad offensive performance, just in a different way. I think these people are yearning for another Delhomme situation, and the odds of that happening are very very slim. It's way more likely Howell or Jameis comes in and looks like Jack Plummer or Andy Dalton did in the preseason. There just isn't that much good quarterbacking in this league right now. And if we draft another QB in the first round, there is a good chance they bust. It's not a guaranteed carrot. The reality is, as mediocre as Bryce has been, the risk of bringing someone else in in-season and releasing Bryce becuase you aren't happy with his current performance is staggeringly high. Don't want to re-up his contract and search for a solution in the offseason? Sure, I'm on board. Bryce hasn't been good enough to warrant a second contract. But It is very. very unlikely that bringing someone else in midseason is going to give this team more wins.
  19. I told somebody that today, the old QB adage. If you have two you don't have one. People forget when we had Double Trouble, there still was a clear edge of carry volume going to D-Lo until his departure. NFL is cut throat and if it takes us eventually bailing on Chuba to feature Rico, that decision may have to be made.
  20. Exactly zero people on the coaching staff or front office are hoping the Panthers get utterly destroyed. This is why people can't take the constant Bryce bashing seriously. Get a clue
  21. Fingers crossed on a Dalton vs. Raiders last year type game against Buffalo. With a healthy dose of Rico against that vaunted 4-2-5 weak run defense we do have a shot!
  22. I think that's why they will be worried, as there is no reason for us to have a working passing game with Dalton in there, so if he does, selling people on Bryce becomes that much harder. It's not like bad QB's have good games out of nowhere, especially when it's a backup getting a start, it just happens sometimes and there's no reason it can't happen for Dalton, especially if the Bills focus on our run game and don't prep for him that much.
  23. Nah. This team would have found a way to lose this game 10/10 times the last few seasons. They closed out a game on a day in which they didn't play their best (offense). They gave up some plays on defense but made plays when it mattered most. They got 6 sacks against one of the worst pass pro units in the NFL and did what they were supposed to. That is improvement from where we were and that is something to be modestly happy about
  24. The Panthers keeping Dalton around to continue to be the #2 is likely why they don't have to worry much about that ever really happening.
