  1. Past hour
  2. The only way to stop a guy like that is a nasty pass rush.
  3. Hence the reason we have to upgrade the room regardless. His poo play to start the season has been going on for 3 seasons now. Thats a trend and the team has to prepare for it
  4. Elite speed matters but you have to have hands too. Ted Ginn was the perfect example of this for the Panthers. Elite route running was always AT's game and he was as fast as an angry turtle but damn he could get open and his hands were glue. TMac can move, but like all receivers, he does best when you can get it on his hands in stride.
  5. Sad part is, even if he plays at a higher level for the rest of the season, we still don't know what he'll look like at the beginning of the next one.
  6. Out of the two games before the bye, this one is the most winnable. If we want to keep playoff hopes alive, we really need to beat the 49ers. The Buccaneers remaining schedule is laughably skewed in their favor. If the Panthers want to win the South we may have to win 4 out of the next 6, and beat the Bucs twice.
  7. I mean, that's wild stuff. Winning because of Bryce? Atlanta - We won because of defense. Miami - We won because of Rico Dallas - We won because of Rico Jets - We won because of defense. Packers - We won because of defense. 2nd Atlanta game? Sure, Bryce was a big part of that one game. *then the flip side, there are zero losses where you can be like, well Bryce played great and good enough to win but (insert whoever) screwed it up.
  8. Scourton just turned 21, he was 20 when drafted. Looks to be ahead of the curve and most DEs take a year or two let alone someone so young
  9. I don't think we are allowed to mention Ian Thomas and contract in the same sentence anymore...
  10. I think he just kind of is who he is. Middle of the road TE. Nothing wrong with that, just don't want to see an Ian Thomas contract.
  11. Credit is not a real thing. There are wins and losses. You can give it to him or not and it makes no difference.
  12. Tremble is such a weird player. I feel like he has the potential to be very good. Already a good blocker, was pretty raw as a receiving threat but has some wiggle and explosiveness but he doesn't seem to get many targets. I'm not sure if it's because we like to use him as a blocker or our other guys in Evans and JT simply have better hands or what?
  13. I disagree on winning because of Bryce. This last game, you bet, he earned it, but before that, Rico should get credit for more wins than Bryce.
  14. I mean I get it from JT's perspective. He's not trying to be putting out a bunch of negative content every week. Its for YouTube views, not for the player's development.
  15. I mean, in a fair world, the dude you carry off the field for the GWD this past weekend.....is Tommy Tremble. He took basically a nothing wide open check down pass and made the huge play all on his own. I mean, if you are choosing to pin the final drive to win the game on a singular player. but instead, Bryce gets 18 GWD threads this week lol.
  16. Main takeaways for me: we left some meat on the bone. Zavala is extra ass, and on a couple of those plays there could’ve gone to the second option. Like that 4th-down rollout, if Bryce checks back to Jimmy, he’s wide open. Maybe that’s overthinking it, but it’s something they should think to add. And the Falcons’ defense? Straight hot ass. Their DC kept putting them in bad situations, and even when he didn’t, they were blowing assignments all over the field. They missed at least five coverages. One of those misses actually lead to the missed touchdown to XL.
  17. I have not heard anything positive that Zavala has done. He is a liability on the O-line. The only qualification that he has to playing on an O-line is that he weighs over 300 lbs.
  18. It's just hard to evaluate performance in football because of all the interconnected factors that determine the outcome. Individual stats like passing yards, rushing yards, etc give us somewhat of an idea of production. But it's still dependent on how other players perform. A win is the ultimate team stat, and I don't think GWD is any different really. You can credit to the QB. But it involves the entire team (including coaching), calls by officials, and sometimes even luck.
  19. Jayden Daniels had a hail mary last season that was nothing but Terry McLauren making a play. Jayden just threw the ball in his general direction.
  20. If all you can get out of the last couple weeks is 2 minutes of film then you probably aren't very valuable as a film reviewer. There is more to be learned in bad film than good film.
  21. You can't whif on A and B gap blitzes. That'll get your QB f'd up quick. At least make him go around you a little. Get beat on a spin or swim? Ok the dude was just better than you that play. But to not account for guys blitzing your gap when you're a friggin OG is inexcusable.
  22. True, but I'd argue separation isn't at as much of a premium when defenders can't be as physical. If you can catch anything thrown at you, there's not a lot that can be done to stop it. You can probably make an argument that it draws more PI flags to separate less, and is therefore valuable to be a jump ball WR.
