Official Carolina Huddle Super Bowl LX Thread

The NFL has a contract with RocNation (owned and operated by Jay Z) to manage the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019. He selects the performers, assists with the production and handles everything about the show. If people have a problem with the halftime show, yelling at the sky (NFL) is not who they need to speak with. -

The 2025 Super Bowl holds the record for most live viewers at 127.7M (until last night's numbers are posted). The 1982 Super Bowl holds the highest household TV rating at 49.1. -

I mean honestly even though the superbowl and the halftime sucked as for as the nfl is concerned and all they care about is money makes sense to them. They have the current nfl fans mostly american non spanish speaking and thats not really gonna change nfl fans are going to watch the superbowl and the nfl it just doesnt change. What they dont have is the spanish speaking market, they tend to prefer other sports. However put a huge spanish speaking performer on for the halftime show and the nfl can draw in the spanish fans and just keep making more and more money. Still doesnt change that it and the superbowl was horrible but I at least understand why the nfl went that route. I joke about kpop for the next superbowl halftime show but would really increase the asian viewership for the superbowl so I could kinda see it. -

I'm certain the numbers will be down year-over-year once the TV ratings come out. -

Counting the numbers of people who watched after the fact on YouTube is not how TV ratings work, my friend. As it happened, live, the numbers are quite different. How many people saw JFK assassinated live on TV? A couple hundred thousand. How many people have seen it after the fact? Hundreds of millions. -

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/music/articles/many-people-watched-tpusa-halftime-025244354.html Not so much. Average US viewership ranges between 125-150M. Throw in the typical 62.5M international viewers and total viewers are over 200M (live). 5.2M people tuned into the "alternative" halftime show (live). -

Worse superbowl and halftime show I have seen. The game was just very very boring, the halftime show I am sure was awesome for the spanish speaking nfl fans I dont even care what style of music or where the performer is from or anything I just would like to understand some of it. I am wondering how much of the shoulder injury was limiting Maye it just came out he had a pain numbing shot in his throwing shoulder right before the game. Also not sure right before the game is the time to attempt the pain numbing shot perhaps should have had it early in the week so he could get use to it. -
Eight days to breathe it all in before rushing back into the fray. At least for the Seahawks and Pats. Everyone else has had a head start.

Yeah, check it out and see what you find. He had less drops than T-Mac this year. He was healthier than Coker for a good bit of the year. And to your earlier post, there were several plays where Bryce missed T-Mac or Coker, threw behind them, or made routine passes more difficult. I agree, they do make chicken salad out of chicken shite much better than XL. And the blocking with poor effort, who was at WR when we were running all over teams this year? Again, my hope is that our 1st round WR gets to the point that he can help us consistently.

Historically elite defense led by Wade Phillips vs Mike Shula. regardless of any Shula adjustment, Wade was going to play 4D chess. Mike Shula is not going to out scheme Wade Phillips. Mike could only hold a job for 2-3 years with every team he worked for… except the Panthers. We were blessed with 6 years of his guidance. When it comes to coaching, we still can’t have nice things.

One of the worst,if not the worst, Super Bowls I have ever attempted to watch. The gane was over early and so was my tv. Just glad that the Patriots offensive line didn't get QB Drake Maye seriously injured. -

The biggest thing was just continuing to run straight vanilla drop back passing plays instead of putting your mobile QB on the move to get him away from the immediate pressure your rookie LT is giving up on nearly every snap. -
College Basketball 2025

He had a good game. Playing his ass off would've resulted in him having 35 points and 10 rebounds. He literally didn't touch the ball in an impactful way for the first 10 minutes of the game He's an amazing player, but there is no debating that he doesn't have that "Rasheed" in him. Some of it is our coaching staff, but a lot of it is Caleb. If you're going to lead the team out of the tunnel, lead them when you're on the court too. He's the best player in college basketball. If someone helps him realize it's OK to be an asshole for 2 hours a day in practice and games, we'll win the national championship. -

Yeah mcdaniels not going with henderson until so late was wild. Imo he was the best option NE had back there to break loose for chunk plays and they didn't try him much at all. Drake had some misses in the 1st half, so maybe some of mcdaniels thinking was Drake needs to hit the throws Seattle gave him. Seattle wanted to make you string a bunch of throws together to score, Stafford and Co could do that, Drake and co didn't. -
Ocho says Leggette is coming to see him
DeAngelo Beason replied to JawnyBlaze's topic in Carolina Panthers
We'll see. It's not looking good for him right now, but I know if you actually watch the tape XL is getting himself wide open very frequently. Like more than anyone on the team. That's the hardest thing to do as a receiver. The other things come with timing and repetition, which neither Bryce nor XL have managed to establish with each other. -

XClown1986 replied to JawnyBlaze's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has a shitty attitude and a poor work ethic. The chemistry is off because he isn't trying to establish chemistry with Bryce. He has had plenty of balls hit him in the hands and he just drops it and getting "cold" is possible for a series or maybe a game. He was that way the whole season. That's on him. Cam called XL out before the season started with the workout videos he was putting out. Said he didn't care about the grunting and the routes on air. He asked if he could be reliable. And he hasn't been. -
Let’s look at the all 22 of legette dropping wide open passes left and right, blocking with poor effort, and genuinely being unable to grasp the concept of a toe tap A UDFA in Coker genuinely makes him look like an over grown high schooler.
-
Doesn’t seem to be an issue for McMillan or Coker.

Naw, don't say anything about that. The pitchforks are out. He is too country, or dumb, or whatever at this point for any real conversation to be had with any Huddlers. Inconsistent QB play would have nothing to do with a WR's performance. Cam says in the interview he went to Greg Olsen, not the other way around. Olsen let him know when he was open, where to pick spots, and when to make tight throws. Everyone picks a player to dump on and XL is in the crosshairs. Also, it is hilarious how people are always said to be so tired of the same canned, rehearsed, and polished answers during interviews. Then when anyone interviews any different here comes the public relations team. Cam put him up on some true game. Hopefully he absorbs it and uses it to become a WR that helps us consistently.
