  1. If the "the rookie wall" and "benefitting from a year in an NFL weightroom" sentiments are legit, an ideal scenario might be getting to the 9 game mark, then starting Corral and going on a possible run if we're above .500 at that point. The qualifying variables being, 1.) How Sam looks 2.) Does McAdoo think Corral is ready
  2. I agree! Why get a QB that the Jets ruined when we can ruin them just fine ourselves? Ruining a 21 year old's confidence is a proven developmental tool. Maybe we can get him a Zach Wilson style rookie injury too.
  3. Yeah, there's no recovering from that. He probably resigned immediately after this but they fired him as a solid so he could collect unemployment until he found a new gig
  4. The retired coach was a college coach that went 1-15 then 7-9 his first two NFL seasons, so maybe not the best example, but I get your point.
  5. Sam currently has a processing speed issue. When he sees a man open, it's as if he needs to take another little look around like a senior citizen backing out a parking space. It manifests as this pause, or yip, so to speak. I haven't seen whether or not he had it college or if 3 years of getting pummeled on the Jets (plus one year here) caused it, but I doubt it can be coached out at this point.
  6. The only ways to secure a franchise QB: Have a top pick or be willing to give up a lot to get one (still doesn't always work) Trade multiple firsts for a known entity (obviously, you can't always land your guy) Take lots of swings and hopefully hit on something eventually. now we're resigned to option #3. They aren't going to pass up a top QB just because they just spent a third on one. (before anyone brings up Fields, they obviously didn't view him as a top prospect, and at this point we don't know if they were right or not)
  7. Yeah, all the guys that hate him because he’s kind of a dork, are all hedging their bets. If we win 3 consecutive Súper bowls, they have already stated that it’s because he’s been stripped of any responsibility. It’s awesome being right no matter what. ”Rhule is the greatest coach of all time. If he fails, it’s because of the meddling owner, incompetent GMs, and sh!tty players he didn’t even want. He didn’t even want Phil Snow. Tepper and Marty made him hire Phil.” Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it? Well, the opposite that the whine and cheese crowd posts here constantly every day sounds just as silly. They just can’t see it. It’s a lot like the current political climate lol
  8. Since you seem to like the Jets philosophy, what’s your take on Zach Wilson. Has he got the goods or no?
  9. Rhule did this just to troll the huddle lol
  10. Dumbest college slogan in history. It “rock chalk jayhawk” seem profound
  11. I know I don't come on here as much due to the constant moderator-led "I hate Fatt Rhule" crybaby circle jerk. I'm probably not the only one. If we consolidated all the whining to a high estrogen sub forum, it would probably help. I'm not sold om the guy, but dayum, it's been 2 seasons. I used to look at the Jets forum when I needed a laugh. This one is currently more embarassing.
  12. Hell yeah. This is what I was hoping for. (A pie thread. I’m not sure what LT stands for.)
  13. Hey! Let's start crying about the stuff we think he might say! You guys started without me. Again.
  14. Do coaching staffs count? Andy Reid’s kid might have skewed their stats
  15. Rhule's not wrong about this. However, it's a matter of getting some value out of his contract at this point. I'd rather have CMC at scatback/slot hyrdid than riding the Jonathan Stewart memorial bike.
  16. He seems like a pretty good dude, but as a coach, he's the guy that couldn't get it done until the GOAT QB fell in his lap. He's also the only coach that got outcoached by Ron Rivera in the playoffs. Also, fug the Bucs.
  17. I know. I was joking. When the organization makes a good move it’s because Rhule has been stripped of any decision making, when we make a bad move, he’s back in total control. It’s funny to me.
  18. So Rhule is back in charge now? When did this happen?
  19. Totally agree. I'd also add, if there was ever a year to trade back, this is it.
  20. A number of teams passed on Slater. The media might even have a roll in that. GMs get eviscerated when they draft a player that lacks measurables and it doesn't pan out. Just keep in mind that the sports media is only slightly less stupid than the message board crowd. Think about how often they are dead wrong about things. It's easy for people to pound their chest about one thing they got right when there's no accountability for the last 10 things they got wrong. Hell, some of our long tenured posters here have never been right about anything, and they're so ecstatic about the fact that they might be right about Rhule that they can't stop posting about it.
