  1. If he has a “process” for building a roster and how to manage said roster, (which I hope to God he does) it would be idiotic to spell it all out there to the media to appease and sound smart to message board nerds. Some of his possible philosophies based on what we’ve seen; He likes to bring rookies along slowly, especially later round picks in certain position groups. Not necessarily a bad thing in regard not wanting to overwhelm young players and possibly ruin them. A lot of the “throw them into the fire” crowd, might think differently if it were their 20 year old thrown out there to get embarrassed on national TV and possibly ruin their career. These young men have lives to lead after the NFL chews them up and spits them out. As a college coach and a father, Rhule is probably sensitive to that. To get out of QB purgatory, take lots of swings and be willing to miss. Better than trotting out a Teddy or Cousins repeatedly.I like his willingness to try something and move on quickly if it doesn’t work. Picking up Sam’s option was absolutely crizazzlebeans, though. Finally, and this is something he’s actually said, he wants to build a team for sustained success. It will be interesting to see how the “all in for now” philosophy works out for the Rams long term. I’m not saying it’s right of wrong, but having a player groomed to take over when the team loses a player to FA, and building through the draft, may be better for long term results. TL/DR. I know. continue your whining. Bitches.
  2. In before "he could have had 1st round money if he laid off the booger sugar!" Jesus. You guys are dicks.
  3. Unfortunately, they're already using the right Matt Rhule to play Sean Payton.
  4. If the guy can step in as a competent backup LT and can also play guard and/or emergency center, that pans out better than a lot of 3rd rounders do.
  5. I never thought anyone could out "you know" Luke. I stand corrected.
  6. You're going to get shat upon for saying it, but you're not wrong. And it's not the criticism, hell, There's plenty of things I'd criticize the current regime for. It's the redundancy and bithchiness that's irritating. The fact that the constant crybaby circle-jerk is led by mods and "respected" long time members is fugging embarassing.
  7. Because of Rhule, the huddle no longer believes in measurables, but now totally buys into power rankings. lol
  8. I make up to $2000 per week working at home
  9. I’m no scouting expert by any means, but there’s something about the way the ball comes off some QB’s hand that just looks NFL pro. That effortless snap. Cam had it. Corral has it. Jimmy Clausen never did. It doesn’t mean he’s going to be great. Hell, Phillip rivers made a nice career with a Teeebow wind up. Point is, Jimmy Clausen never had it, Corral does. I’m excited to see him play.
  10. Yeah, he walked on as a player at Penn State and turned around two college programs without knowing what a football looked like. Jesus.
  11. If the "the rookie wall" and "benefitting from a year in an NFL weightroom" sentiments are legit, an ideal scenario might be getting to the 9 game mark, then starting Corral and going on a possible run if we're above .500 at that point. The qualifying variables being, 1.) How Sam looks 2.) Does McAdoo think Corral is ready
  12. I agree! Why get a QB that the Jets ruined when we can ruin them just fine ourselves? Ruining a 21 year old's confidence is a proven developmental tool. Maybe we can get him a Zach Wilson style rookie injury too.
  13. Yeah, there's no recovering from that. He probably resigned immediately after this but they fired him as a solid so he could collect unemployment until he found a new gig
  14. The retired coach was a college coach that went 1-15 then 7-9 his first two NFL seasons, so maybe not the best example, but I get your point.
  15. Sam currently has a processing speed issue. When he sees a man open, it's as if he needs to take another little look around like a senior citizen backing out a parking space. It manifests as this pause, or yip, so to speak. I haven't seen whether or not he had it college or if 3 years of getting pummeled on the Jets (plus one year here) caused it, but I doubt it can be coached out at this point.
  16. The only ways to secure a franchise QB: Have a top pick or be willing to give up a lot to get one (still doesn't always work) Trade multiple firsts for a known entity (obviously, you can't always land your guy) Take lots of swings and hopefully hit on something eventually. now we're resigned to option #3. They aren't going to pass up a top QB just because they just spent a third on one. (before anyone brings up Fields, they obviously didn't view him as a top prospect, and at this point we don't know if they were right or not)
  17. Yeah, all the guys that hate him because he’s kind of a dork, are all hedging their bets. If we win 3 consecutive Súper bowls, they have already stated that it’s because he’s been stripped of any responsibility. It’s awesome being right no matter what. ”Rhule is the greatest coach of all time. If he fails, it’s because of the meddling owner, incompetent GMs, and sh!tty players he didn’t even want. He didn’t even want Phil Snow. Tepper and Marty made him hire Phil.” Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it? Well, the opposite that the whine and cheese crowd posts here constantly every day sounds just as silly. They just can’t see it. It’s a lot like the current political climate lol
  18. Since you seem to like the Jets philosophy, what’s your take on Zach Wilson. Has he got the goods or no?
  19. Rhule did this just to troll the huddle lol
  20. Dumbest college slogan in history. It “rock chalk jayhawk” seem profound
  21. I know I don't come on here as much due to the constant moderator-led "I hate Fatt Rhule" crybaby circle jerk. I'm probably not the only one. If we consolidated all the whining to a high estrogen sub forum, it would probably help. I'm not sold om the guy, but dayum, it's been 2 seasons. I used to look at the Jets forum when I needed a laugh. This one is currently more embarassing.
