Should we seriously consider Evero for head coach?
MechaZain replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I don't think Tabor was first choice for interim -
“Terrible position” lol offensive coordinator with a #1 pick QB

If he’s anywhere near what he was hyped up to be then he’s going to work his ass off this offseason and just maybe, with halfway competent coaching, he’ll rise to the occasion. The knock was that he’s never had to overcome real adversity. Well now he’s got it. Time to see whether everything about his work ethic and studiousness was bullpoo too.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced
MechaZain replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is Scott Fitterer in a nutshell. He’ll come up a fair deal based on market conditions and asset value or whatever but has no eye for scouting. It’s like having a finance algorithm as GM which is probably why Tepper has kept him around. -
Bryce Young is historically bad, and he's regressing
MechaZain replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Next year is make or break for Bryce and poor play in a system we won’t be using isn’t doing him any favors. Sit him and hope he can wash the stench of the season off. -
No coach worth his salt is going to come here without full control and if you’re going to do that you may as well go Harbaugh. Him or Belichick and I think the game has passed Bill.

Lame duck staff

He’s not going to do it with his brain either so what good is he?

I gotta say as someone who doesn’t watch college, I’m amazed at how off the entire football world was about this dude. Hyped up as one of the most NFL ready QBs the games seen and he’s been about as far from that as you can get. With every other bust at this level the red flag that did them in was a known risk. Bryce has ironically been durable he just doesn’t seem very good at the rest of being a quarterback.

how many of y'all are still watching the games?
MechaZain replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
If it weren’t for the condensed replays I would have stopped weeks ago -
No matter how you feel about Fitterer he’s done a bad job. There’s qualities I like about him but it’s undeniable at this point. The only reason is to keep him around is if you believe he has the qualities to become a good GM with more time, but frankly I don’t think we’ve seen enough progress from year 1 to bank on that. He is who is— a human calculator who is good at asset evaluation on paper but is throwing darts at the wall to when it comes to talent evaluation.

Very cool that the publically owned Packers are one of the winningest.

The Athletic: “‘Hunger Games’ culture” at BOFA
MechaZain replied to SuperBowlBound's topic in Carolina Panthers
So basically we overcorrected and went from CEO coach to a coaching committee. -
Over a 100 years of experience gave us the worst coaches we’ve had so I’m with him on that being overrated. A smart football mind who is a motivational leader is what I want and I think Greg has that. i believe this is just a stunt to up his stock though. Like McCown, just being considered for a HC gig is a good one on the resume.

y'all realize he has two sports teams in Charlotte right

Belichick failing here would be disasterous. Atleast everyone agrees that Rhule and Reich were inept. Media's going to go in on Tepper if he gets similar results with the 6x champion.
-
Said this in another thread but I have a hard time believing Frank was bullied into betting his career on a QB he didn't want and then grew a spine when asked to run some RPOs.
-
So we’re supposed to believe Reich didn’t take a stand on the QB he wanted but chose this as his hill to die on?
-
We don’t have a first round pick and this team is not talent enough to go far with Andy Dalton. Bryce is getting another year.
-
nah that would be 2019 when we lost Cam, Luke, and Greg.
