  1. I'd be supportive too because Fitterer and Rhule have determined that he will perform.
  2. I agree. If there is video evidence than Watson is sunk. However with as many women coming out and saying he was perfectly fine. It is going to come down to proof. I posted a link about the Houston Police which makes this very interesting. I read it the other day that the lawyer in this suit does not want Houston Police investigating. I don't know what their rift is between the lawyer and the police chief. I read where the lawyer wanted an independent investigator.
  3. Probably as much as the Texans paid off those women claiming wrongdoing just to get back at Watson for wanting to leave Houston.
  4. You know I think that the defense has been finding these women who say he's been clean. This will come down to who do you believe unless they come up with physical evidence. What really bothers me is that the defense will not provide a list of the name of these women. It's hard to defend yourself when you don't know your accuser. I thought one of our legal requirements is that you must be able to face your accuser. I think if the defense ever gets a list of these women they will attempt to find out if some of these women have preformed "Happy Endings" for other customers. This IMO is why the defense will not give those names out.
  5. I think we'll end up with one of the top five QBs. Its seems the question marks that some teams may have will drop one or two of these QBs to us. Not saying I wouldn't take Fields at 8 if he were available but this is the second time I have heard about Fields ability to go through his progression. We don't need a Colin Kaepernick on steroids.
  6. This is interesting as the lawyer for the plantiffs do not want the Houston Police department investigating this because of some riff between the lawyer and the police chief. They wanted an independent investigation. https://www.khou.com/article/news/local/deshaun-watson-rusty-hardin-tony-buzbee-lawsuits/285-4cfd4fc4-8014-450f-a889-07711242a992
  7. The cost to trade up for Fields would be enormous and he has his question marks.
  8. The word is that this is a deep draft for OT. I would like to have a solid center and Humphrey is a solid choice. But if we took a OT and Center I would be happy too.
  9. Twelve position groups a total of 60 players. https://www.nfl.com/news/bucky-brooks-top-five-2021-nfl-draft-prospects-by-position-2-0 Assuming all 60 of the top players went in the first two rounds. We have a shot at 2 of them. Who do you choose. If we get one of the QBs I want Lance. If not, Surtain. 2nd Round Creed Humphrey
  10. I think any move for Darnold will be made after the draft. If we land a QB than we won't pursue Darnold.
  11. I did. I imagine George with the stoggie while he sings. I think they love Lawrence and Wilson. The are probably meh on the others.
  12. The days of keeping all your drafts picks is becoming a nightmare. When teams start paying skilled a good portion of the cap they are ruining the team concept. I think unless you have a very creative GM, you'll lose your young talent. For us, CMC and soon DJ and followed by Burn, Chinn and others. You just can't pay top dollar for all these players and still fill an adequate roster. I think in today's league Rounds 1 thru 4 are critical to maintaining success. Keeping on the super core players.
  13. Not that she didn't go out but she was only a sophomore and only 20 at the time.
  14. I'll take the Riot Report draft over the Observer. I can see us trading back. We would be able to address the O-Line with those new picks or maybe combine one of them and move up get a 2nd, 2nd round pick and get an OT.
  15. True in every case but the point of the post is that unless we have a franchise QB like all the players you mentioned which would you prefer?
  16. I get your point but not necessarily. Game Managers only throw to open targets. They don't give the WR the chance to fight for the ball, gunslingers do. DJ especially would be one of those WR that would fight a DB for the ball. Those plays are explosive plays something we sorely miss.
  17. My post was meant mostly for a non-franchise type QB. Brees, Rodgers and Brady (to name a few) are franchise QBs that do both. Our chances of getting one of these players this year is quite slim. Which is why I asked Gunslinger or Game Manager
  18. 2019 Almost 62% completion with a 19 - 13 TD to Int. All he had was Anderson. He'd come in already familiar with Anderson which would help him immensely. Plus you have CMC and DJ. I am sure he would out play any year he had in NYJ.
  19. Curtis Samuel was our go to guy on third down. Watching this video makes me think he could fill that roll that Samuel thrived on. Moore and Anderson going deep and Simon catching the underneath routes. He's not as fast as Curtis but could fill that role. Could being the key word.
  20. Here's a wild idea. Following the script of the OP. Instead of Minshew (whom I would have no issue signing or trading for) trade for Darnold. Darnold is on his last year of his rookie deal so it wouldn't cost us too much cap wise. Let him start 2022 while Lance learns the ropes. If Darnold plays well and goes into free agency we probably get a compensatory pick in 2022 or 2023.
  21. Cam, and i may be wrong but isn't he the only QB ever to win national titles at two different levels. Without Cam, Auburn doesn't sniff the SEC Champions and the National Title. I may be a bit bias because my daughter was a student at Auburn when they won the title.
  22. Outside of getting a Mahomes or Watson or Rodgers type of QB which are considered franchise QBs. What type of QB would you prefer? I personally like the Gunslinger. A guy that isn't afraid to let the WR make the play. Jake was probably our best gunslinger and though he would throw a couple more picks than a game manager it was fun to watch him heave it up and let Smitty or Moose go up and get the ball. Game Managers are great if you have a solid defense and a good core offensively but when the game is on the line they don't take gambles that could win or lose you the game. Bridgewater is a prime example of a Game Manager (Panthers).
  23. Picking Eric Shelton in the 2nd round and never saw the field. Seriously, Signing Jake Delhomme, a former NFLE player from the New Orleans Saints and gave us some of our best years, if not our most exciting years.
  24. I would be happy with either Darnold or Minshew ( in that order). Darnold has not had the best of team around him in NY and I think a change of scenery will do him well. I've also said that Minshew would do well with this offense. He's in the mold of Jake Delhomme and would bring some fire to our offense. Jimmy G. I am not interested in.
  25. He the perfect stopgap if Tepper is holding out for Watson. 10x better than Teddy, "I can't throw the deep ball" Bridgewater. We bring Minshew in and he performs well maybe we could actual trade him for a higher pick than what we got him for. There is absolutely zero reason why we shouldn't consider him. I personally think he would flourish in our offense. He'll have the greatest weapon in the backfield that can run great routes too. If we could get him for a 3rd or 4th I would jump like a wildcat on it. We are going to upgrade our team in the draft, there's no doubt about it. Along with the free agents we have this team is going to win more than 5 games next year. So we'll further down the draft list and Howell will be out of our range. I still believe we will end up with Watson as soon as his BS charges are cleared up.
