  1. I’d trade Brown as well. I’d also trade Burns if it nets you a QB or LT (even if that’s a 1st round pick). Sign Reddick and roll with the DTs you have. If we end up sinking 100 mil into burns im gonna be angry.
  2. I definitely don’t expect Jax to be back. I actually think that he’s one reason we brought in so much competing CB talent. Staff sick of the antics and freelance mentality. But he’s got talent so you don’t bench him. As far as Burns and Reddick…I would sign whichever player gives you the most cap flexibility. Reddick has been solid for a few years. Burns is obviously very good too. Just not sure I’d break the bank for him. He’s got 8 sacks. This franchise been down the “Im the best DE in the league but I routinely post 10 or less sacks” road with other contracts in the past. Not worth it.
  3. I cringed when Marty gave him that contract. I was hoping that he’d turn out to be more of a receiver than a runner…but for whatever reason they never pursued that path.
  4. Can someone please make a thread of every single post on here that said before the season…”we should trade CMC in a package for an ACTUAL quarterback.” He’s got Lev Bell type injury history now. Who is going to give us fair value. STOP getting attached to particular players. Unless his name is Brady, Rodgers, Allen, Watson, Wilson….they are replaceable.
  5. Evan Neal is Ogden. You take him and plug him in day one and you’ve solved LT for the next decade. Put Christensen beside him and you may have the best left side in football in a few years.
  6. Look…if he’s this good at tackle then putting a guy like Neal next to him and moving him to guard could solidify the line for a decade. Need to still draft Neal if he’s there.
  7. Yikes. The David Carr comps are pretty spot on. All the talent, drive, want to in the world and just can’t put it together. I never understood why Derek has been so much better than David but I think it really is all in the mindset.
  8. He’s the anti-Rivera. RR didn’t seem to ever really manage anything. He never seemed to get upset about trivial stuff. The Cam sidelines stuff is a perfect example. Rhule seems to get upset at all of that…. Not necessarily wrong but you better be able to show results. It seems very Belichick, Saban-esque. Saban failed. BB obviously didn’t…but also had the greatest player in league history. In order to micromanage pros who make $10 million a year you better be winning games or people aren’t going to want to put up with that garbage.
  9. Teppers personal net worth increases by 14% in the last year…or $2 billion in round numbers. If you guys think the reason he isn’t firing Rhule is bc of money then rethink your position. $50 million or whatever it is that he would owe Rhule is what this guy made in a week last year...
  10. Rhule is screwed. They don’t have enough capital to fix all the holes. Either the QB situation is still goin to be a dumpster fire or they won’t get the OL that they need. Can’t fix both with 1 pick. The Wilson, Watson, Rogers Hail Mary is a nice thought but they aren’t agreeing to a trade to play for Rhule with the media reports. He’s done. Tepper needs to cut bait and hire McDaniels, Hackett, or Bienemy to see if they can save Darnold. When they can’t…they can move on with a fresh start and only 2022 will be wasted. Let Fitt continue to build the roster and when we’re ready to go we’ll be in position to draft the right QB with a solid supporting cast.
  11. I will keep saying it until I’m proven wrong by year of ineptitude. I think Tepper is used to making expensive mistakes in order to learn, risk it all again, and not make the same mistakes. There are trends that set the bad coaches apart from the good and the good from the great. The primary trend is elite QB play. I don’t care how great a coach is…If the QB is bad the coach will look bad. If the QB is good the coach will be good. If great…the coach will be great. This isn’t rocket science. The trend is “get a great QB and your coach will look great.” That hasn’t existed in CAR since 2015. Apart from great QB play you need a great defense. There are 8 realistic teams who can win the super bowl. Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, Pats in the AFC. Bucs, Packers, Rams, Cowboys in the NFC. Outside of Mac Jones every team on that list has an elite QB. Every team on that list other than the Chargers also has a top 10 D. The way to tell if Rhule is going to be a success is to get a QB. Then at least if he sucks..:you’ve got a QB for the next coach.
  12. Bienemy and a solid veteran would turn this team around. Bienemy/Wilson 2022
  13. Fitt’s personnel decisions have been spot on. Darnold was a low risk, high reward proposition. We essentially lost a 2nd round pick for a guy who a lot of people thought could be rehabbed. We are loaded at one of the most valuable positions in football (DB). Imo his draft was pretty good with Horn, Tremble, Nixon, Hubbard, Marshall etc.
  14. My suspicion for 2022-2023 is we use our top pick on a LT. We shore up the line. We provide Darnold protection…he still sucks. Rhule gets fired after 10 games of miserable mediocrity. Here’s to hoping we don’t trade a million picks trying to make it work.
  15. Gimme Jimmy G for a conditional pick with Armstead, best available OL for every pick of the draft, and lean on the D to win.
  16. Idt Pickett goes top 10 and I think that the staff has realized the OL is horrendous. The best play imo would be to sign someone like Robinson or Armstead and then trade down to get another day 1 or 2 pick. Use the 1st round pick on the best available OL at any position along the line. Hopefully by trading down you get a pick at the top of the 2nd or bottom of the 1st and that’s where you pick your QB.
  17. I honestly think you bring in a new coach and a they can draft their rookie and go from there. The team is young and imo talented. Look at your guys that could turn into some draft equity (Derrick Brown, Burns) and maybe flip them for picks instead of expensive extensions. Prob don’t spend a bunch of money resigning a guy like Jackson. See if you can get appropriate value for CMC (which at this point is the cap room and probably a 2nd round pick). Then start to build…with a coach who knows how to coach an NFL roster.
  18. Draft the right QB. Hire the right coach. Could be competitive in 2023.
  19. Part of me refuses to believe he conned all these people into thinking he was something he’s not. Jimmy Johnson was RAVING about him. Tepper loves him. Every NFL analyst over the off-season thought the analytics approach was genius. Part of me just wants to believe that if he gets a QB who’s got “it” then he’ll succeed. But sooo much evidence to the contrary. This really may have been one of the greatest con jobs in league history.
  20. Bill Cowher. Tepper just paid Rhule $60 mil. Dudes got the cash. Just do what’s necessary and make it happen. This place needs a culture changer to come in to actually gameplan and coach. Pay Cowher $20 mil/year and get it done. Before Gruden got canned the Raiders were trending up. McCarthy has done wonders for the Cowboys. Make a trade or plan to acquire Wilson, Rodgers, Carr or maybe Watson and show Cowher he’ll have his QB and a defense with elite talent. Come win a super bowl and make $100 mil in the process. Then ride off into the sunset as the only coach to rival Belichick as the greatest modern day NFL HC. He won’t say no.
  21. I started getting bad vibes when Luke K said he didn’t want to be a part of the staff anymore. That guy lives and breathes football. Fortunately or unfortunately…I think he’s gonna get canned at the end of the year. I think he probably loses out and with the number of moves that have been made to try and win now (even while rebuilding) I think Tepper is gonna be impatient.
  22. The players Fitterer has provided to this team outside of the Darnold trade are elite. Certainly nothing close to “hey here’s Trai Turner a year removed from the pro bowl for Russell Okung and a bag of chips.”
  23. Josh Allen is 6’6” 250 with a cannon. His problems could be overcome by size and not having to alter an offense to accommodate him. Willis has thrown 12 picks this year 2:1 TD:INT ratio. Corral’s TD: INT is 20:4 and has a huge arm. I lien corral better
  24. Sounds like Lawrence is just going to take things into his own hands knowing full well he is the valuable asset for that franchise and not Urban. He was PUBLICLY banging the drum for Robinson and calling out coaches. Hopefully they actually get a coach in there that isn’t going to hold them back.
