  1. "Reverse discrimination?" Haha! Oh boy. On a serious note, it is mainly because he plays for us. Kyle Brandt even admitted that no one is going to pay attention to the Panthers after last night so everyone should watch CMC while he was nationally televised. He is regarded as one of the best RBs in the league, if not the best. It's not like he isn't getting respect. His face would be everywhere if he were drafted by Dallas.
  2. Hmm....they must be including the game they were injured in? Haha!
  3. I think the ratings leave some context out. Like with the pass block win rate. Does that include when no one engages a pass rusher? If not, then that doesn't even factor into the equation, which results in a better grade for the o-line even though they let a rusher come in uncontested.
  4. That is a lot to unpack, but here we go: - Feeling would be much worse if Darnold folded to the pressure. It is actually very encouraging to see he can step up and will this team to a win. - Our schedule is pretty light going forward with teams like ATL, NYG, and MIA. I believe PHI, WFT, & NE are winnable games without CMC as well. It is possible we are 8-4/9-3 by the time we have our bye week in Week 13 right before playing ATL again. That is where our schedule difficulty sky rockets with BUF and TB twice. 10-11 wins are still possible IMO. - The loss of Horn is terrible. Hopefully getting A.J. Bouye back will be enough to continue the stellar defense. Maybe we bring in someone to help, or maybe with rely more on K. Taylor (who I think has the ability to do well). - Either way, I trust our management not to do anything to sacrifice our future success for a band-aid. Our playoff/SB window is opening, it is not closing. If it were closing the feeling would be much worse. We would be forced to make decisions to benefit now at great expense to future success FOR A MAYBE. IN SHORT
  5. LIKED: We did not go conservative with our play calling. Trusted Sam to put it away for us, and the fact that he did that. DID NOT LIKE AND HAVE NOT LIKED SO FAR THIS FREAKIN SEASON: For some reason we are totally against spreading the offense out in the red zone. We do not have the line for these tight formations. Especially if we actually plan on running the ball straight forward.
  6. Mills better than Wilson is a stretch. Wilson looked very good against us all things considered. Like mentioned earlier, Mills just looked like he belonged back there. I thought he would at least give us one major bone-headed turnover, which he had plenty of opportunities to do. Maybe trying to throw while attempting to escape a sack. Nope. He lived to fight another day. Didn't looked panicked. On a side note though. Mills may have appeared too relaxed. Dude looked super robotic. lol! I mean, the coach was in his face ecstatic because of his TD drive and Mills looked like he had just lost all will to live....
  7. As long as we don't mortgage our future I trust Fitz and Co. to make a good decision here. I would not say that this is our year, but our schedule is light. If we can get in the playoffs, and get CMC and Horn back by then, anything can happen. I am not opposed to making moves. But no, this year is not a, "Go out and trade a lot of picks for a STUD what the heck ever." We need those picks for sustained success. We don't need to give up future picks for a player now that MAY or MAY NOT put us over the hump. Our window isn't closing, it is opening.
  8. It's on Darnold. It's not knocking Darnold. Up until CMC got hurt he had a check down that was just as dangerous as the first WR option. Darnold didn't even see Anderson or Dan Arnold when they were open deep. Why? Don't know, could be any number of things. But it's not on Anderson, he has been open. By the way, YES...Anderson dropped the curl. But Moore dropped an easy one last week. It happens to the best of them. Anderson is fine. Crapping on Anderson is an overreaction.
  9. Yep, that's what happens when you do well in the draft and have a coach that will play them. I was surprised to see Erickson catch a pass. Great throw by Darnold on that one by the way.
  10. You could probably look up Steve Smith interviews CMC and find it. CMC didn't look that confident answering the question either. lol! You could tell Smitty wasn't buying it IMO.
  11. He did block pretty well on that TD I believe. Cut off two people. Would have to watch again, but I think he did have some impact on that play.
  12. You see Smitty's face when he asked CMC if he thought his workload was sustainable and CMC said yes. LOL!
  13. We need to give them both extra time to heal. Add a week or two to the time expected to recover. If we can't win the majority of the games against the teams in our line-up, then we have no business in the playoffs anyway. We have a lot of talent, DO NOT rush either back.
  14. Do not rush this man back. Give him adequate time to heal. The future is too bright right now to get focused on instant success. We give him 10+ weeks to heal and he is back before we even play Tampa.
  15. Just incase someone scrolled by without seeing that. That's improvement!
  16. I think people are misunderstanding op. No one thinks our team is better without CMC. We do believe however, that it will force our team to be more flexible. When CMC left, our offense looked like a new born baby dear trying to get footing. All of a sudden, there was a huge threat missing, and we looked lost. The whole game plan was predicated on using CMC to frustrate the defense and create opportunities for others. That option was gone. Chuba catching out of the back posed almost ZERO threat (dropped two passes, one that would have been a score). With CMC out, our line did not hold up well early. The threat of CMC masked that the prior two games. This injury forces us to not be totally lost when and if CMC goes down. If he stayed healthy and we went 17-0 and lost him in the playoffs we would have been destroyed. Against a better team, I don't think we would have been able to bounce back as quick, it looked like we were blindsided. Yes, it could have been a "blessing IN DISGUISE". It does not look like one, HENCE DISGUISE, but in the long run it could help us. I completely agree with op, wording was fine.
  17. We look horrible without CMC. The threat just isn’t there. Better start working Royce in NOW.
  18. Hmmm…are they looking past Houston? Lol! I don’t see us doing this but I feel they are looking to Dallas and want to keep him healthy.
  19. Honestly, he probably would have ended up a Falcon.
  20. It probably comes down to how the draft board falls, and who we bring in off of that. Of course, it could very well depend on our team success as well.
