I seem to recall a lot of hopping or jumping on passes when on the move. Did this happen often or just something that stood out when he did it.

Panthers' Offense: Some Core Concerns Surfacing Early
SmokinwithWilly replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
But we're also watching 2 lesser "NFL ready" QBs making the throws and doing the things that BY was supposed to be doing with ease. Maybe that's BY. Maybe it's Reich. But it's damn sure concerning to say the least. -
Panthers' Offense: Some Core Concerns Surfacing Early

My guess. The coaching staff may have realized that they fugged up. -
Starting with Fitts. I gave him a bit of a break last off-season because of Rhule, but turning down the Burns trade AND not getting a new contract before now is a huge misstep. Add in 2 panic picks in Corral and DJ Johnson that we traded up to do, and now this poo show we have on the field, this is a fuging joke. If we end up with 3-5 wins, Reich should be out also and we need to make a serious run at Ben Johnson or Evero if he's interested in staying.

It's not even the lack of weapons. If you watch high powered offenses they scheme their guys open. We run a very vanilla, easy to defend, offense with a rookie QB that is having a much more serious issue with field vision than we want to believe. I saw him jump several times on throws last night. It's hard to get zip and be precise when you can't step into your motion.

Well Jim Irsay is an idiot but even a blind squirrel finds a nut or two eventually. Maybe he just ran out of pills for a day or 2 and made a good hire.

AR was my pick all along and he is definitely looking the part this early. Just hope they reel in his running. Don't want to see another Cam type prospect get broken having to be everything on offense.

Wouldn't you be?

Serious question. Am I the only one that noticed it looks like BY hops on a lot of his throws like he's trying to get the pass over someone? I thought I saw it 4 or 5 times in the 2nd half.

Cindy watches the same game tape we do.

As a GM, what is Scott Fitterer good at?

Time to see what Cade Mays is all about.

I don't know why but I get Norwell vibes from Cade. Seems like he's going to play very angry. -
If you look at all the best WRs in the league, the thing they do best is create separation. Thielen isn't elite but he's a technician at getting that step away from the defender. While getting those big home runs is nice, I'll take 6-10 yards per reception all the way down the field all day long.

Maybe trade a conditional 7th for a new hammy.

You don't need a true WR1 anymore. You need guys that can get open. Is it nice to have a Tyreek, JJ or Chase? Sure. But the Chiefs just proved you don't need it to win. A SB.

Watching him rock back and forth all game was pretty inexcusable too.
-
But he hasn't been a highly sought after asset once he was waived. He was picked up by the Pats, cut, then cleared waivers again. That's got nothing to do with our coaching change. That's the NFL saying he ain't got it. Fitts traded up to get him. It was also a panic pick. Fitts swung and missed.
-
That's not entirely true. MC cost us a 3rd and 4th and he's already been cut.
-
I don't think it's that they haven't evolved, it's more that there's only so far you can evolve when going backward. Offensive linemen have a much more difficult ask considering how much QBs move in the pocket, or out of it for that matter.

NFLPA Exec Director calls out the league over the turf
SmokinwithWilly replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Easiest solution I can think of his skylights that can redirect sunlight into the stadium without compromising the domes surface, or grow lights, but those would be ridiculously expensive on power. -
Looks like someone's been hanging out with Snoop and Willy.

There really needs to be cap relief for career ending injuries. Getting injured is part of the game naturally, but injuries like Luke's major concussion or this that ends up forcing retirement should be taken into account.

Tells me you've never done it or have the depth of understanding to know why someone would.
