Need to do like the NHL and have an emergency 3rd string QB waiting in the crowd.

Video: Brady Christensen on BYUSN 1.24.23

I'll eat crow on BC. I didn't think he could make the move inside with his footwork and bend at the hips. I was wrong. -
Watching CMC line up out wide multiple times a game makes me hate how pathetic our OCs have been. Ask Madden would have provided a more explosive offense.

You would think if they are going to keep reporting on him, they might want to actually spell his name right.

KEY Player Retention under Reich??
SmokinwithWilly replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bozeman definitely and Pineiro as well. The non contact injuries are concerning, and if we let him walk, he's probably landing in Dallas. -
Interesting vid from Pat MacAfee.

Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?

A lot. Either way. -

If we offered to swap 1sts and 2nds, add Burns (possibly valued at 2 future 1sts and a 2nd this year) since he is a proven edge rusher, and add the 9ers 2nd, would that be a move we should/could consider to get to 1 if necessary. That would be 3 1sts, 2 2nds in value to move up 8 spots. -

Part of the reason I thought the Burns trade actually made some sense. More 1st round picks to give up if we needed to move. Obviously you want to keep an edge rusher, but without a QB, edge rusher isn't going to lead you to the playoffs, much less a SB. Before we start getting serious about trades, I want to see who we get as an OC. That's going to be very telling about the type of QB we try to acquire. -
I wouldn’t be mad if Fitterer was fired
SmokinwithWilly replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's so hard to say what was and wasn't Rhule influenced. I think the trading of picks for cast offs has been odd, but CJ always had the gifts, but could we put it together? History with Rhule would show absolutely not. He never developed anyone that I can recall. Almost every player got worse or was put in a worse position to produce under his reign. I'll be curious to see what Reich does as far as player development. I'm not saying Fitts is good or bad it's just undetermined. Right now, I'm not really getting the warm and fuzzy feeling that we have the guy to build the team right. But then again, it's probably pretty hard to build a team designed around "the brand." -
If we win 9 games back to back years it will be a 1st. Go Team.

I don't think it's necessarily hate at all. A lot of people see him as another Fox and Rivera, both guys who were loved in the locker room and underwhelmed on the field. He beat teams with horrible run defenses and had no other game plan for those that had good ones. Personally, I don't consider winning the division with a losing record winning anything. I feel very underwhelmed by this hire. Wilks would have probably felt the same.

Report. Panthers pivoting from Shane Steichen
SmokinwithWilly replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been in interviews where the person doing the interview had no idea how to conduct an interview or what the job they were hiring me to do really was. Interviews are 2 way streets. -

Could also be that he has more pressing things to worry about right now like winning the NFCC and SB. I really don't think interviews should be allowed to start until the playoffs are done so not as to distract some of these coaches getting ready for the big game. -

After watching the Tepper poo show for the past 4 years, part of me can't help but wonder if the other owners didn't just push his buying of a franchise through so they could never have to worry about Carolina again. -

It's also possible he realized Rhule was an incompetent HC from day one and thought he would be fired at the end of the season. You could see it in the end of the season presser last year, he expected Rhule to be gone. Spend one year in a bad situation to get yourself one of 32 coveted jobs in the NFL. I think he was playing the odds, but didn't quite expect the stupidity of Tepper buying into one more year of BS. That's all speculation on my part, but like I said, watching that presser, you could tell he was done with "the brand". -

Listening to Romo is like listening to Fran Drescher. Doesn't really matter what they say, you want to put it on mute.

Sad because I was really looking forward to the possibility of Ryans if we did go with a defensive HC.
