He pulled them outta his ass!

Hell CBS had Richardson going #1 overall in yesterday's mock.

Agree. It's easy to say that no amount of financial reward is worth chronic pain AFTER you've cashed $54M in checks. He knew the risks (we all do) and rolled the dice that he'd make it through his career OK. I hate it for him and anyone else that deals with chronic pain / brain injuries (we all know that's a risk too) at such a young age, but him saying that he didn't foresee the possibility is just not true.

He was my annual TE draft crush a few years back. We ended up having to settle for Thomas.

We now know who bought it.

That's a really big assumption.

Panthers met with Hooker per report

It was while Jerry was in charge! -
3 steps back is Elflein's preferred blocking scheme.

Has anyone looked at our Cap situation for 2023?

That was such a bad deal that I'm still mad at Ryan by association, and he was a frikin stud! -
I hear ya, BUT... If we went all in on Darnold (again) I would always be waiting for him to screw up. Like he has season after season. He is not consistent enough to be a full time starter. Now, signing him as a backup, on a team friendly deal, is something I could get behind.

Roll with Corral and draft the best pass rusher available at #9.

Official Panthers at Saints let's get this over with GameDay thread

Ikr? I made the mistake of talking up Christiansen this week, so his injury is obviously on me. But I got to ask, is Michael freaking Jordan really the best replacement? I would have assumed Mays or erving. -

God I hope Carolina rests their starters. -
Silver Linings: Unheralded Player Shoutouts

I agree though. Christensen overachieved at a new position. -
Silver Linings: Unheralded Player Shoutouts
shaqattaq replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
They have been really good. Really really good. But they're not exactly "unheralded", they've gotten a lot of attention (for Carolina). The only one that may be unheralded would be Christensen, and he's done a hellova job at LG. -
Is Corner our second biggest need behind QB?
shaqattaq replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm going to move wide receiver to the end of that list. DJ is great, and I think Marshall is coming into his own. Shi it's pretty good and Shenault is a gadget guy. We could definitely use a couple of upgrades, but I don't think it says needy as the other positions you named -
I agree with you, if Horn or even Jackson are available for this game, we win easily. Take away those three long touchdowns for Evans and we owned them. And that's with Darnald, who is a backup QB / game manager.

The only outrageously bad call by the refs that stood out to me was on the last kickoff where they backed us up even though it was obvious that there were multiple fouls on the bucs. I think part of Brady looking almost human this year, despite being a damned good quarterback, one of the best ever, is that he's not getting a roughing to pass or call every time someone comes close to him. BTW, I think our cornerbacks loses the game even if the refs hadn't tried to seal the deal there at the end.

I haven't watched any college ball and don't dig into the draft until the season is over, which I guess it is now. So I don't know actual players yet but we need help at cb, lb, and de more than quarterback at this point. Especially if we keep Wilkes as HC. He's a strong defense/good enough offense kind of coach like we've always had. BTW... I still think tremble can be a pass catching te.
-
You're right. And unfortunately, there aren't many nose guards like that.

I appreciate your support for our guy, you're a good fan. But... CJ is decent backup at best. He's been a liability all year, and his entire career. I don't even hate the trade, it was a Gamble on a former first rounder. But he hasn't shown me anything that makes me think he should be a starter in the NFL.

I had to poo you overall, but you are dead ass correct about this statement. Why the fug did Norman ride the pine when Evans was making everyone else his bitch? He couldn't have done any worse.
