  1. Draft. My plan would be to stick with Darnold this year since he's already under contract. Build the Oline. if Darnold doesn't improve his play, we have a high end pick for a QB next year who gets the benefit of a better line. If FA, we need to look at upgrading safety, linebacker and tight end.
  2. I don't think he would have done much better here. Maybe 2 or 3 more wins. Stafford could have made those same throws at the end and have half of them dropped. We don't have reliable playmakers outside of McCaffrrey.
  3. Didn't realize he played for Baylor. Should he send us his resume?
  4. My thoughts exactly. Gonzalez made us forget the fear that Slye left us with when we had to kick a field goal or extra point. Abdulla was also a decent returner.
  5. Nixon wasn't going to change a whole lot of the offense. You can't install a new offense during the season. He lost a lot of players and had to play some stronger teams too. It's hard to say if he was better or worse than Brady with what he had to work with.
  6. So, lets say he had kid size hands. Could he hold a football? Absolutely not. So there is a point where the size of the hands are going to become a problem. The argument is going to be where that lies, but there is no doubt that hand size can be a factor. FWIW, I always had to grip a football closer to the end. I noticed most NFL QBs grip it closer to the center. My grip would have been hard to keep from getting it knocked out or pulling it back down from a passing motion.
  7. Apparently, they did just enough. Kansas City won. They actually held buffalos defense to no points! (I know what you meant.)
  8. I like Watson, but the 2019 Panthers held him to 160 passing yards and no TDs. That was the Kyle Allen led Panthers. He isn't Jesus and he isn't going to come resurrect or Lazarus offense alone.
  9. I don't think the Panthers are devoid of talent. I think some of the problems we have on Defense were trying to switch to a 3-4 when we really didn't have the people to run it and then moving away from it after we drafted a few players that fit that mode. On offense, I think it's a jumbled mess. We really don't have that guy outside of McCaffrey. There isn't a guy that defenses have to worry about taking away because we don't have a stud at any position. Moore gets yards, but not TDs. I'm hoping Marshall can develop into that guy. While he wasn't outstanding this year, but neither were Moose or Smith their rookie years.
  10. I don't agree. Buffalo had 4 quarters to stop the cheifs. Their defense failed. Is Buffalo's team only the offense? They played, they failed. Game over.
  11. Bills and Chiefs is the one I really wanted to see.
  12. Falcon's fans..."told ya so!"
  13. Yes. Win now teams usually weren't 5-11 the last two years.
  14. If we don't fix the Oline, I want Chris Collingsworth to come play QB. I'd enjoy seeing him get hit every play.
  15. Damn, the bucs are losing. How will I ever sleep tonight?
  16. I did not watch the Bengals game so can't comment accurately. But I don't think that's a pattern for long term success. You might shoot with your eyes closed and hit the target once, but that doesn't mean you should adapt that as a strategy.
  17. No they didn't. Their lineman were injured in the games previously.
  18. All you have to do is watch the Superbowl last year to see you can have a great QB and a horrible offensive line brings him down. You don't need an excellent offensive line, but you aren't going to win with a shitty one no matter who the QB is.
  19. I think the real difference is between us and the Bengals is that we lost a lot of our star players instead of adding to them. Keuchley, Bradberry, Olsen and Newton's injuries were some key factors. Of the last 4 seasons under Rivera, only one was a winning season. the phenomenal talents of Newton and McCaffrey hid some glaring gaps and as they faded, so did our Wins.
  20. It's easy to forget how great that roster was. They lost almost all those games by 3 points or less. Fox drafter Peppers, Deshaun Foster and Will Witherspoon that year.
  21. It's going to be different for each team. Getting Burrow was a game changer for the Bengals. Do you think Taylor gets to the AFC championship with Sam Darnold as his QB?
  22. Are you kidding me? The 2002 roster had Muhammad, Smith, Walls, Steussie, Mitchell, Donnalley, Peppers, Jenkins, Buckner, Rucker, Fields, Morgan, Grant and Minter and Kasay. Which one of those would you kick out for one of the 2020 starters?
