Because he is holding the offense back, and ultimately the team. You put him in timeout because he is not developing. I don't think any of us need to see another 16 games of him playing QB (if it is a continuation of the past 15 games) to know he is not 'it'. If we see it, I would hope the HC sees it too. The Panthers need to learn how to win. They have built a losing culture. You don't want to see Dalton, fine put in the Plummer. I doubt his play would have been much worse than what we saw last Sunday.

If Bryce has another stinker on Sunday, I sure hope Tepper will let Canales put Bryce in time-out. It really is doing nobody any good to see him struggle. If Bryce is ever going to be at least average, he needs to build his confidence and last week certainly did not help. Some of the best QB's 'sat a year' before playing (Love, Rodgers, Mahommes, Favre to name a few). He clearly was not ready last year, and at least 3 of the coaches agreed (they were fired).

Well the 50 yard bomb should have never even happened. Remember the prior play there was a very obvious block in the back on a screen play that was not called. I mean everyone saw it. If I am not mistaken that was a 3rd down play too, and Miami picked up a chunk of yards. The 50 yard bomb came right after this play.

The team addressed the o-line, WR’s, TE, RB in the offseason. Even after the disaster yesterday, I can see they are a QB away from having a presentable offense. They have playmakers. Unfortunately Bryce is not one of them. Seems like a good kid, but just does not have “it”. Can you imagine 2015 Cam with this o-line and playmakers?

Maybe so but at least they looked like an NFL team when he was the temporary HC.

Well that is concerning….what a terrible signing DJ Wonnum turned out to be. The guy is signed in the off season to be a starter and is not ready to play. Waste of money….

This roster will look different in a few days after the Panthers pick up some new players from waivers. There will be some guys cut to make room.....

Shayne Graham was a very good PK for the Panthers and filled in when Kasay was hurt 1-year. Had a solid career with the Bengals. His sister would sometimes post on the Huddle when he played for the Panthers. Panthers-sis or something like that was her name.

It really all points to Tepper. Not just because of the poor product his team puts on the field, but the Rock Hill fiasco, moving away from grass fields, how he pursued Deshaun Watson, and how he clearly meddles in football decisions. Each year his team gets worse.....it starts at the top.

Jordan Matthews is one of the surprises of camp. I did not realize he is 32 and has not really done much in his 10-year career. He is working hard to make this team, and in limited pre-season action he looked good. Be interesting to see if the Panthers keep him over another 'younger' TE. This offense needs leaders and he seems to be one....

I have a feeling that if Bryce does not start showing 'growth', we will see Dalton in the middle part/end part of the season. This team needs to start learning to win, and the Panthers need to be able to effectively evaluate other positions for the 2025 season. If the Panthers start 0-4, it is going to get ugly but let's hope this does not happen.
