  1. True, but there's no indication that any of them are NOT conditional either. Details are limited right now. Even still, I like the deal. I would bet that the 4th next year is conditional on him being the full time starter this year, but who knows.
  2. Looks like these people know how to party. Hopefully that's not their full-time residence. What really makes this person a super fan is the fact that they believe someone else loves their favorite team enough to buy this house 'as-is.'
  3. LOL, you guys will talk yourselves into anything. There are going to be 10 year starters at other positions of need just sitting there, waiting to be taken with #8 and you guys are trying to trade it all away on like the 4th/5th ranked QB.
  4. Good, they're in the position to be, as they have plenty of picks through continuous suckage and selling off good players. They're still a couple of years away from being perennial contenders, even if Saleh is the real deal. We're two drafts/FA seasons away, and then we'll be in great shape. If we take advantage of the panic buying at QB that everyone else is doing this offseason, we can sneak out of this draft with 4-5 starters. That would be HUGE. If we are able to make hay this offseason, we will be able to afford to trade everything away in 2022 for our QB, either through the draft, or FA.
  5. They also have a much more complete team. You guys are such emotional babies, pouting because Daddy Tepper didn't overspend to get you the pony you want. LOL! Go follow the Niners then.
  6. LOL, you guys are pitiful. Yeah, let's trade away years of draft capital for one player, so we can watch him run for his life for the next five years while the Jets turn their franchise around with our draft picks. Jesus, what's happened to our fanbase!?
  7. None of you have any idea what you're talking about, LOL! It has been fun watching you all throw varying degrees of tantrums over the idea that the Panthers might not trade away years of draft capital just so you can feel good about going into next season, like one season matters that much. "Muh' CueBEEEEE!"
  8. I'm fine with sitting pat and drafting BPA with our original picks. We've gotten what I think are some potential gems in FA so far, but we've still got a lot of holes to fill at starting positions. I'd also be good with trading down to get a later first rounder and pick up someone's second rounder in the process. With the depth at some of our positions of need in this draft, we could really stock up on high level, starting quality players. Go trade up for Howell in the '22 draft, or get Watson after he sits out a year and the smoke has cleared on this current case, assuming the smoke does in fact clear.
  9. The first comment under the initial tweet about signing Morgan Fox was a Rams fan stating, "Someone with the Panthers knows what they're doing." Went on to respond to another comment about Fox benefitting from the Aaron Donald Effect by countering saying that he really excelled on his own, and had developed some really technical, effective moves. It's always nice to see thoughtful commentary on a player from someone who watched them every week and was bummed to see them go. Excited to see what Snow can do with a full arsenal. The rest of the comments were Rams fans saying FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK, etc..
  10. After looking up this Buzbee guy, who's a failed Trumper mayoral candidate known for leveling baseless allegations to further his agenda, I'm going to assume this is targeted character assassination until he or his clients provide some receipts. Think about it: Any reputable law firm in the country would represent these women if they have a case. Gloria Allred would be licking her chops if there was any proof of anything. If Watson did any of this, he deserves to go down. I just think it's starting to sound a little too fantastical at this point, given the lawyer's connections to McNair, his politics and methods, and the timing of all of this stuff coming out right as trade talks pick up steam.
  11. Pretty much everyone ITT has stated they don't want Watson due to his current projected price. That has nothing to do with what you're implying. I would love to have him here, but not if we drop him into a similar situation as Cam was dropped into. The thought of augmenting through FA spending next season to offset the loss of draft picks and players has me warming to the idea. I just don't want to watch another generational talent at QB get bashed to bits and squandered like we did with Cam.
  12. The world is too small now for an elite pro athlete to just 'leave town' in order to avoid a massive civil suit for sexual assault. I don't think he or his team are that naïve. I think this is a friend of McNair's going attack dog on a player he thinks is giving his friend a raw deal. Either that, or Watson really is a creep and if that's the case, I wouldn't want him for free.
  13. God you guys are dorks. This is a really good signing. Sounds like he's improved every year, and has had a chance to learn from Aaron Donald and the rest of that freakishly talented line.
  14. Besides CMC, who it became obvious we were sitting out on purpose, who on the roster spent a lot of time out of the lineup with a new injury? I say new because Okung came into the picture with multiple prior injuries and KK has stayed injured for the last few years. Rhule and Tepper have their sports science facility and they've said they're committed to providing the best care to their players year round. Perhaps in these three players we've signed, they see manageable injuries that can be mitigated by better care, and believe they can keep them on the field longer. Just a thought. I'm going to be optimistic about it. I'll be bummed if they spend all year on the bench, but it's just a game. Edit: 2021 will be Year One for a lot of what Rhule wanted to bring to Carolina, now that they won't have to do everything over Zoom and can be in the same building.
  15. Sounds like OP has been watching too much of the show Billions. Television. Is. Not. Real. Life.
  16. LMAO Joe Buck: "AND A WIDE OPEN MARTINEZ!!!"
  17. He was the best center in his draft class, and excelled there his first two years with the Vikings. The probably should have traded him when they got Bradbury, instead of moving him to guard. It'll be nice to have a competent backup at Center.
  18. It was more a comment on I think trueblade's assertion that the "we aren't one player away" comment could be taken to mean that since we're not one player away, they're fine with going ahead and nuking the team by trading away 8-10 players for one guy. I think that's ridiculous. I was on board for Stafford. What they were asking for Stafford was fairly reasonable. Didn't it only require about three picks and Goff? That's nothing like the 'multi-year 1sts, 2nds, 3rds, plus starters' asking price projected for Watson. I think they should absolutely be involved in every deal, but it's ridiculous fan-level delusion to think we should trade away the next few years for one guy, when it will put the Panthers in exactly the kind of situation Watson is currently trying to escape.
  19. LOL, you guys will tell yourselves anything to maintain the idea that the Panthers are actually going to compete for Watson. It's not going to happen.
  20. This place has serious Hurney Era PTSD. We're not going to sign a bunch of injured, aging vets. We're going to build through the draft.
  21. This is the kind of stuff New Orleans does and you guys marvel at how they pull it off. When our new FO does it, it's the worst thing in the world. LOL. Marty Hurney still haunting some of you in your dreams.
  22. I have a feeling Fitterer and his staff will do their due diligence either way. If they pick him up, I'll know they did their homework, so I'll be stoked about it. You never know what can happen. Rhule seems to have the ability to connect with younger, brash or immature players in a way that motivates them. Look at how differently Donte Jackson interacts with Rhule vs. Rivera. Edit: Moving to a different market like Charlotte might do him some good. It'd be tough for a rich, immature millionaire to stay focused in Nashvegas: Bachelorette Party Capital of the East. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF1XbWp6pAs&has_verified=1
