Fwiw I am sure some of these guys like him. After all we have a bunch of his college players that wouldn't have anywhere else to play if not for him. Plus it sounds like he genuinely cares about at least some of his players, if not all of em. Rhule doesn't need to be a bad guy to be a bad coach. It's kinda like with Rivera...

fuging ridiculous. What the fug is the point. PJ was so bad they signed a QB off a couch to keep him from seeing the field (Barkley the first time...). fug this organization this is bullshit.

Cams implication that people didn't "buy in" sounds a lot like Rhule didn't need to lose the locker room because he never really had a lot of people in it.

Darnold has thrown more interceptions than balls 20 yards down field... He just isn't very good.

I think they're getting a new QB. Nobody thinks Sam is actually the answer. He may be on the roster and he may even start games next year (especially if we trade for a player made of glass), but I think they'll spend significant capital to improve the QB position, either with the first round pick or perhaps trading for someone (like Jimmy g)

Dunno how you can give these players grades like that when half of em can't see the field because of Rhule. Edit: I mean for example BC has seen limited action but is one of our best OL by grade lol

It really would be. Looks like we are stuck with Rhule so I'd love Sam to secure his place as our starter next year. I'm petrified Rhule is going to go for another redemption project in 3 years...

No kiddng on that missed call. Was a good catch but Sam felt the pressure and put it in a place Robby has a real shot at it. Very hard to call that a bad throw tbh. Darnold sucks but if he makes more plays like that we aren't all so down on him.

Hopefully this game secures Darnold as starter next year so Rhule doesn't get cute trading the future for another redemption project

Yup. Talent on the roster is there for the most part(edit: minus OL, QB, and a few other positions ofc). Coaching is unable to react in game.

We have the skill players to threaten any defense imo, but our coaches need a full week to plan a fuging drive, it's ridiculous.

It's indicative of the talent on the roster. Inability to keep it going is indicative of the incredible weakness of our coaching.

Tbf he said you couldn't evaluate anyone fairly because of how much pressure theyre facing. It's kinda what I'd expect from an announcer. I'm fine with that. I don't entirely agree (Darnold should have shown more by now) but this is the worst OL I've watched.

Bright side: if Darnold leads us to a win here Rhule is more likely to stick with him and hopefully we end up with the #1 for 2023.

Other than being bias towards all QBs to an extent, he's generally pretty fair I think.

DJ has regressed considerably under Rhule. He's not the only receiver that isn't living up to his ability, which tells me it's coaching (and QB, but imo after issues with multiple QBs it's time to point out the coaching).
