I have a hard time believing we can do more than trade a pick for someone to take him off our hands. I just can't see a team wanting him to even be a backup. I'm ready to just eat his cap at this point. Can we June 1st a 5th year option? As far as the offseason, crap had better change drastically. This last one was a complete failure on soooooo many levels.

Gabriel García Márquez "The Handsomest Drowned Man In The World"

If Daley is at LT again it's time to fire the Oline coach. Just flat out 'GTFO' and slam the door.

I didn't hear a peep about it. That went straight to normal way too fast.

Someones needs to be taking notes...cough cough...Love some Cam. That is the kind of leadership we have been lacking all year.

I didn't see one but honestly I was drunk and jaded AF. Plus it was mostly NE fans so not sure who was left to fight or fug?

I would much rather see this tradition re-continued the the new tradition of idiots fighting or fugging each other at the stadium discontinued.

They really thought Sam was a great answer. That's the scary part, not pissing away 19 mil next year. It was a bad evaluation, a bad trade and a bad option pickup. We can eat dead cap like the best of them but the evaluation and how sure they were is terrifying. They will trade him to someone for a 2024 7th and eat 16 mil of that mistake.

Look, the first time he wasn't worth what he was asking (100 mil +) after his injuries but that does not cover up for the crap handling of it all. They should let him test the market and see if he would come back on a 2 year decent deal. I think a couple of years with good money but an out after 2 years would be the goal if he plays good. Two years and OK money for a QB if he just plays well. Hopefully both sides are a lot more realistic and this is a great new beginning for us all. I just can't think about all of Darnold's 2022 wasted cap space and how that plays into this conversation yet, I just can't yet.

It is a legitimate subject. I didnt agree with the original poster comments completely but there is some relevant Panther football subject matter there. I think it was covered well by other posters after that. See, zero emotion or negativity. And no I do not see how this post irks anyone, this is the Huddle. Some great, some awful and a lot in-between.

Some of us are big boys who can handle talking about multiple subjects, from the highest highs to the lowest lowes without making it a 'mood first' thing, whatever that is. It is a subject that will continue into the offseason. The fact you follow the 'serial doom poster' around to whine says more about you then him.

A forgotten boon in the Cam Newton acquisition
Waldo replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm just happy to want to go to a game again. There were other pluses from Cam's first stint with us. I'll give you one hint... Quality has been down boys. Sorry, chauvinistic posting over. Yes, 4th down conversions would be great and so would actual offensive scoring. -
Or we could discuss all the stuff happening, good and bad. This place isn't supposed to be your morning Xanax. Even the best teams have things that can be negative. In itself it's not a big deal but when combined with the other moves made, it's going to be part of the draft hurdle.

Best ability is availability. We passed on some really good players for a CB that isn’t the rookie CB contributing this year. Next year will be huge for Horn, hopefully it was a freak injury.
