  1. I'd only do this if we know for a fact they're not taking the QB we want or if we legitimately have two guys rated equally. I'd ask for their other 1st rounder and would be willing to trade our 2nd to make it happen. With that pick we could take the best WR in the draft.
  2. I'd be happy with Stroud or Young. There are pros and cons for each one but I like both of them a lot.
  3. I hate to lose Moore, but WRs are much easier to replace than franchise QBs. I'm glad we kept the higher 2nd rounder this year, too.
  4. It certainly wouldn't surprise me. But at the same time the Browns were the only team willing to give Watson a fully guaranteed contract. Even Tepper refused that, as bad as he wanted a QB. Could it be collusion? Very possibly. But it could also be a matter of a player wanting a contract that no QB-needy teams are willing to pay.
  5. Personally I'd go all-out and trade up to #1. If you're going to give up a bunch to move up you might as well move up all the way.
  6. At this point I do think we're going to have to still trade up to ensure we get Richardson. At least up to #5 or #6. My only concern is who the bridge QB is. I would hope they'd look for someone other than Sam Darnold to fill that role. We know how that story ends. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to draft Richardson and sit him for a year while still winning the division this year, but it'll take a better QB than Sam Darnold. Then again how nice would it be to end up picking high enough next year to draft Brock Bowers at TE for AR to throw to?
  7. Yeah don't overpay for Foreman. Too many good RBs in the draft.
  8. This is why you've got players like Lamar Jackson wanting fully guaranteed $200M+ deals. When scrubs are getting paid like top-tier players, why shouldn't MVP candidates get crazy money?
  9. That's literally the worst thing we could do. This draft is unusually top-heavy so trading back is a bad idea even if we don't trade up for a QB.
  10. I actually think the Jalen Carter situation could impact the Bears decision here. If the goal was to trade down and still get one of the top 2 defensive players then this could absolutely be a factor. If they trade down to #4 with the Colts then you know Arizona is going to take Will Anderson now, leaving the Bears without a clear pick. Because of this I think our clearest path to #1 is to first trade up to #3 and then up to #1. I think this would make us the most attractive trade partner for the Bears. Something like: CAR RECEIVES: #3 overall pick + 2023 5th round pick. ARZ RECEIVES: #9 + #61 + 2023 3rd round pick + 2024 3rd round pick. And then... CAR RECEIVES: #1 overall pick. CHI RECEIVES: #3 overall pick + 2024 1st round pick. Or for that matter maybe the Bears decide that since they can't get a top defensive player at #4 that they'd just assume trade down to #9 and get more in return.
  11. I wonder how long before we see a female GM in the NFL? I know Cleveland hired Catherine Raîche as their assistant GM last year, but I'm not real familiar with any other women who are working their way up the GM ladder. Maybe Jordan can get there one day.
  12. Safety could be tricky given Jeremy Chinn's presence. If we spend even remotely big on a safety it's probably a good indicator that Chinn will be playing more linebacker this year. Which is interesting since it's tough to find an obvious fit for him in our new scheme. He's not really an edge rusher but is also undersized for a 3-4 inside 'backer.
