  1. Finally, part of my Madden dream has been realized.
  2. whatever he's done prior to joining my panthers is irrelevant now. He has a clean slate, for now.
  3. Because the staff is just throwing poo at the wall and hoping something sticks at the QB position. I have nothing against Baker, I just dislike that he’s one of the poo being thrown at the wall by the staff.
  4. for the second season in a row, our (presumably) starting QB faces their former team opening day so my excitement level is 5/10.
  5. I'm wondering if this was the plan all along to where they drafted Corral just to drive the asking price of Baker down. I'm hoping this isn't the case because I'd like for us to actually groom a QB.
  6. I will try to be positive here and say that it’s a win-win situation. Baker plays which will allow Corral to ease his way into the NFL. I believe Fitterer made comments along the lines of not wanting to thrust a rookie QB into playing right away.
  7. it's that time of the year for optimism until reality hits.
  8. At least try to develop someone.
  9. If this will help Corral, then do it. If not, then don’t. I’m tired of these bandaid QBs.
  10. I prefer to just roll with what we have and get some “stability” in the QB room for once instead of rolling out new QBs every year. I’d consider that a win regardless of the outcome. However, I do appreciate this coaching staff for their willingness to make (some) changes.
  11. I wouldn’t change the 2015 roster until the SB that year. I would start Moton at RT.
  12. Team has been disastrous since he took over, but I'm willing to set aside my frustration to see what he does in year 3. He does have a huge learning curve coming from college to the NFL, so hopefully behind the scenes he has taken lessons from his first 2 years in the NFL and will apply it this coming season.
  13. Sucks, but I remedy that by playing in franchise mode where I can create a winning franchise.
  14. Like I said in my original post, I don't know what their financial situation is so I wasn't talking about them. I'm talking about other folks in my experience who were well off but still create these fundraisers. This was in response to the post I was quoting. Even then, being curious means to gather more information, hence, why I put "seemingly" in quotation marks as things may not be what they seem. Regardless, condolences to the family. I can't imagine what they are experiencing at the moment.
  15. I don't know what the financial situation is like for the families involved, but I am curious when seemingly "well off" folks create gofundme's.
  16. There are a lot of things I can imagine pertaining to 2015
  17. I don't know how much of that is true because he said that the superbowl year they had Greg Hardy (JN referenced The Kraken).
  18. feelin' good, feelin' great, how are you?
  19. You’re free to have your own opinion about KB, but that doesn’t change the fact that he was drafted to be our #1 WR. Separation wasn’t going to be his strong suit and the team knew that, and his size and catch radius was the biggest factor in drafting him. I don’t think separation ability is the only quality that makes someone a #1 WR. DG said at the time that KB was someone who could rise up to the challenge when the game was on the line, and that’s who Cam looked to most of the time before his (KB) decline. The stars just aligned in 2015 when they went to the SB and had no connection to KB. If that were true then we would’ve gone back to the SB every year since his departure. you can look back in hindsight and say he was never a number 1 WR, but I’d say he was drafted to be one and was developing into one before his injury and subsequent life stressors that affected his development.
  20. KB made sense then and I still agree with the pick today. He did well and met expectations are a number 1 WR. I believe it was when his mother passed that it affected him emotionally and psychologically which led to his downfall. People cope differently and I think his way of coping just so happened to derail his NFL career.
