  1. I agree. But I’d be ok with him being a 2 if we can get a true #1. WR is just one of those positions people will have to accept overpaying this year either money or in years because of how it is. But I’d rather do that than ruin our #1 overall development.
  2. TDs since 2018: Moore - 21 Theilen - 45 just sayin
  3. Cam has said he has no problem being a back but he reminds me of an uncle Rico type who prolly thinks he’s worth at least 15-20 mil a season as a back up and actually should be starting. He still has a chip from taking on minimum money after being let go from the panthers thinking he had a market…as his dad says ‘Dollar Bill’ only to find out he wasn’t good enough to even create a market and won’t let it go, much like his stans probably a couple more years of that and these threads before it’s official
  4. for a wr that racked up yards in trash time and disappears when poo gets hard (redzone) averaging 3-4 TDs a season…Feilds won’t be bailed out by DJ in the end zone and you don’t give up those kind of picks for that…hell they could’ve traded less for cmc lol well has a Fit non believer I will admit was a good deal for us and the only reason it isn’t great is we have nothing left WR wise…like nothing But I’ll take good
  5. Not possible if you don’t have a competent FO that knows who exactly that player is. That’s the difference between crap and great franchises. Rhule’s GM is still here. Are we all agreeing Rhule knows how to pick a NFL GM? Seems like this board thinks so. Kind of weird if you ask me.
  6. Yea, people need to seriously get prepared for a ground and pound/dunk to Sanders type offense with a tight playbook barring something crazy. And by prepared I mean low expectations.I expect a WR FA splash next season or the rookie this year to get better. Drafted WRs usually take a while. And unless TMJ breaks out we need a 1 and a 2…
  7. no need to wait for results? you hiring?
  8. Don’t care whomever it is, the pick needs to be a hit otherwise Tepper needs to absolutely clean house…including Rhule’s GM period. never should’ve stayed just like Hurney but Tepper still has ways to go
  9. oh no who else will get us 75 yards a game in the fourth playing a bend not break defense due to being down by three touchdowns and call it a day once in the redzone so sad
  10. Jesus…so many Fit apologists i wonder how many job offers to be a real GM he turned down to come be Rhule’s bitch
  11. Meh. There is more to this. We need offensive weapons. He can catch. WR FA is poo. Even trading up to get a WR, to expect him to be balling season 1 is very rare. If we don’t do something to support our 1 overall QB we have set him up for failure and wasted capital doing so. Very likely won’t be until year two Reich can really open things up and we might be in for a lot of running/dunking next year. These are the (good) reasons this move is a bit expensive. I still approve of it. What can you do? The FA market is what it is and the Bears wanted Moore. Really need to find that WR though…anyone. Just looking at the depth chart is a complete joke.
  12. Offensive weapons…I mean Hurst is ok but he doesn’t change that or even close. This franchise will doom our new QB if they don’t get him a WR. It’s going to be bad, really bad. That’s said it’s really the only major need with oline depth and LB next. I wouldn’t be mad if Fit moved up back into the first for someone. Even then we need vets.
  13. Did you just skim over the whole 10 LBs is all he needs part literally right before I put 230 for some reason? It is not that hard for 25 year old athlete with a 6’3 frame to put on 10lbs of mostly muscle. And you certainly don’t get rid of a playmaker due to 10lbs.
  14. guys Chinn is going where he belongs, on the ball as any non idiot coach already knows and as I got poo for saying when Rhule the idiot put him there hes a playmaker and he’s not a small dude like…at all, big frame, 10 LBs is all he needs 6’3 230 too small? Since when? I mean a little heavier is ideal but he is a playmaker…Beason and smitty were much further from ideal but you put the talent where it makes an impact, Chinn is that dude, just watch
  15. they’ll need to stop winning so much for that title
  16. uh if we knew for a fact they weren’t taking our guy why would they trade up lol
  17. it’s strange to me people think Stroud fits Reich’s preferences more…it just isn’t true. i said this months ago that if you listen to Reich’s interviews, style and him speak Young actually fits the mold almost like a glove though granted, if you look at who Reich has worked with in the past you will see more Stround types. maybe that’s the confusion. and i am 100% pro Stroud, but i would not be made about Young
  18. a perennial 5/6 win team for over half a decade…wtf they tearing down to rebuild? Y’all need to chill, we good
  19. That’s because they’re not Panther fans (and even fans don’t get it) and know what DJ is. Everyone outside fans are just looking at his stats. Dillusonal fans on the inside are just depraved since 89. Most don’t understand where all those yards actually came from. From someone who has watched games over and over let me tell you. It’s true he’s had garbage QBs. But it’s also true his team has been losing consistently since he’s been here. Meaning often down points and the opposing teams playing bend not break scenarios, especially second half. Thats when DJ shines. Gaining yards in garbage time. Want a stat that tells you that? Look at his TDs. It’s simple. He disappears when yards are at a premium and in the redzone. That’s why it looks so lopsided. He also gives up blocks quite often and routes too. Now make no mistake he hasn’t had much help. And he does make some clutch catches every now in then. I’m not saying he’s worthless with no talent. And this does leave the Panthers desperate for a WR (which is the main reason Moore was never traded in the first place imo). But as I have always said and got poo for here, he is not a #1, or close to it. He isn’t a difference maker. Smitty called him out twice for motivation issues. He isn’t going to bail Fields out of anything. Just watch. He’d be better with a QB like Rodgers imo. Maybe people can be more objective now that he’s gone since this board is weird like that. In any case to the topic, I feel at most this trade was pretty damn equal, but I feel we got the upper hand just slightly. Also considering one of those seconds is basically closer to being a third. Only way we get fleeced is if Reich gets us a top 5 pick next year. That’s on him not the trade.
  20. No. There is a clear QB1 among scouts despite the hype and fans. Despite the team saying they like either or blah blah…they know who everyone wants including themselves. Likely Stroud. If you have that first overall and need a QB, you’re going with Stroud period. But even if it wasn’t Stroud, it is a single player not either or that 99% of teams agree goes #1. All this other talk is simply politics because you never want to talk poorly on any level of any player for a lot of reasons (playing them, ending up with them on the team down the line etc.)
  21. let’s be real Tepper had to do something and he already pulled the cheap, cam card fooling not so smart fans once, limited options but he made the right move finally for the first time in about seven years I am actually excited for the Panthers
