  1. oh 100% I'm just living in fantasy land don't mind me
  2. only question left is are we playing the Bills, chiefs, ravens in the superbowl? Bills would certainly be the best in terms of just playing a cursed franchise
  3. this is really cool, also credit to Dan for holding the Rams hostage for that pick. I'm proud he didn't sell low on it.
  4. I think I legitimately may be a cursed sports fan. I am sorry yall
  5. this is a sensationalist headline Juan and you know it lol
  6. the athletic football show is the best NFL podcast to listen to hands down IMO, Mays is awesome. I really miss Tice though he was such a great cohost and him and Dane Brugler's prospects to pros pod was an awesome way to keep track of draft prospects as the CFB season went along
  7. Again had we not ended up gifting the number one pick this trade would be closer. The problem was we misevaluated how close we were. From an asset standpoint it isn't close the Bears gave up a number one pick and got one in return plus a bunch of other stuff. Had we traded Brian Burns for two firsts and then used those instead of our pick it would have been us
  8. I totally agree but I don't think the NBA will ever abandon it. They are so worried about tanking
  9. yea i actually don't hate that pick, last years draft sucked
  10. You can't even watch a fuging hornets game in charlotte without having some special app, it's insane Ok i'm done
  11. my idea to fix the NBA lottery is to have three team brackets so the three worst teams are bracketed in the top three picks. Worst team with 50% odds, second worse 30% odds and third worse 20%. Then picks 4-6, 7-9, and 9-12 are the same. This would prevent these gigantic leaps teams are taking up the lottery to land generational stars when they had no business going there. The NFL doesn't fear this, why does the NBA- oh wait it's because they need the popular teams to stay good so the league stays relevant
  12. i feel similar, it just feels like there is no way out of the basement for the hornets. we would have to get EXTREMELY lucky on a few picks which is hard to do when the NBA routinely screws you out of top talent
  13. not the biggest canes fan but I've been watching them more this year, such a fun sport. I'm impressed with how Svetch is playing. (again I'm a noob when it comes to hockey)
  14. how much of that is Kyle Shanahan though ? Don't get me wrong Purdy is not a bad QB, but to me he is pretty average
  15. the scariest part of Bryce to me is what if he's good not great? Because that's how you end up with Tua contracts I wouldn't be surprised if very soon we see teams moving on from average QBs or letting them test free agency. Tepper has invested a ton in analytics I could see us doing it too. 9ers are different because this is Shannahans guy. But the dolphins i bet you are loathing having paid Tua too early.
  16. I'm actually fairly bullish on him. He was pegged as a toolsy athlete who was all projection when we drafted him but I thought he did fairly well last year especially given the circumstances.
  17. didn't read the thread before I posted but you nailed it
  18. If Scourton stays at purdue he's a first round pick
  19. I think Jalon Walker is a dawg, a fantastic college player and a good locker room leader. I'm not sure he has the physical abilities to be the 8th overall pick. Further tweeners scare me. It is well known that in the NFL not only do you have to be a good all around player but you need at least one elite skill/trait. What is Walkers beside his speed rush? So then you're taking a player like Princeley at 8 overall.
  20. from a football perspective I think releasing him was the wrong move That being said Clowney has always seemed to have an attitude that rubs people the wrong way. I mean how many teams has he been on at this point? My bet is that the Panthers actually didn't want him mentoring the young guys and now we have space to sign a FS. do not kill me gamecocks fans this has nothing do with your fine university We'll see how that works out bc that edge room looks very very iffy
  21. I can't remember a time in Panthers history where I agreed with more of the decisions they made than I do right now. This offseason has been perfect IMO Now before you go saying "WHAT ABOUT X? or Y?" you can't realistically fix every problem in one offseason. Dan did the best with what he had
