  1. Richardson has a ridiculous arm - the problem is his footwork sucks.
  2. What do I do for the 16 remaining games of the season?
  3. Interestingly very few have proposed a solution - they've just reiterated that the current Front Office won't do anything (which I agree with). Here's my answer: Identifying the Problem It’s becoming increasingly clear to most Panthers fans: Bryce Young is holding this team back. In a quarterback-driven league, we’re stuck with one who not only limits the playbook due to his physical constraints, but also stunts the offense with his inability to process and execute routine plays. This isn’t a bare-bones roster anymore. The front office has invested heavily in the offense: Offensive Line: One recent first-round pick and roughly 33% of our total Salary Cap Wide Receivers: Two recent first-round picks Running Backs: One recent second-rounder, one recent fourth-rounder, plus Hubbard and Dowdle And let’s not forget the two first-round picks (and D.J. Moore) spent to acquire Young himself. The Solution We need to be proactive and move on from Bryce Young - immediately. Continuing to start him means writing off the season, which neither the GM, coaching staff, nor fans can afford. There’s simply too much invested in this offense to let it flounder under a quarterback who isn’t elevating the unit. I’d explore cost-effective trade options for backup QBs around the league to staunch the bleeding. Dalton and Hooker aren’t viable starters. I'd re-evaluate in the offseason to see where we stand - and consider the Draft and Free Agency if the need arises. Identifying Value Take Sam Howell, for example. The Vikings traded him and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Eagles for a 2026 fifth and a 2027 seventh. That’s a low-risk deal for a QB who threw for 3,946 yards, 23 TDs, and 23 INTs in his lone starting season. Potential Targets Tier 1 – Younger QBs with upside Tanner McKee Malik Willis Anthony Richardson* Trey Lance Tier 2 – Veteran or stopgap options Gardner Minshew Mac Jones Aidan O’Connell Davis Mills What to Do with Young Ideally, I’d include Young in a trade package if possible. If not, I’m fine with sitting him until the offseason and then exploring trade or cut options. His value is low now, but continuing to start him only makes it worse. This team deserves better than what we’ve seen so far. The pieces are in place—we just need a quarterback who gives them a fair chance to compete.
  4. What this post tells me is that you don't understand Moneyball (and if you need the cliff notes you should go watch the film, it's excellent). As for the A's not winning anything - they got the Playoffs with the lowest budget in the league. That's a huge success.
  5. Most of us see it, Bryce Young isn’t getting it done. Whether it’s the turnovers, the body language, or the lack of progress, it’s starting to feel like we’re watching a slow-motion bust unfold. So here’s the challenge: you’re Dan Morgan for the week. What’s your move? You’ve got: A locker room that’s losing confidence A fanbase that’s fed up ~$17M in cap space Draft picks A QB on a rookie deal who might not be the answer Do you ride it out and hope for a turnaround? Draft a new QB and start fresh? Bring in a vet to push Bryce? Blow it all up and rebuild? Let’s hear your plan—cap, morale, draft strategy, long-term vision.
  6. I think he was brought in because nobody else wanted the job IF it came with the caveat that Young had to start. For all of the platitudes players and talking heads give Young, they all know what's really happening here and don't want anything to do with him.
  7. He's had the starting job handed to him for three straight years. If Gardner Minshew had walked through the doors of BoA Stadium last year he'd have taken Young's job and stuffed him in his locker. Mental fortitude.
  8. When everything is going perfect (incredibly strong running game, OLine keeping him clean) he can just about brush mediocre. It's damning how much Canales takes the ball out of his hands. Three first round picks for that, ladies and gentlemen.
  9. They didn't. Young was the anointed one by the media. The hype around him was unreal.
  10. Young is historically bad and that's before you factor in what we traded for him.
  11. Did you see Young miss the walk in TD to Renfrow? He literally doesn't have it. That's an easy throw for an NFL QB.
  12. There's nobody that I'd be comfortable spending a Top 5 pick on. Not unless someone develops out of sight between now and December.
  13. The guy that drafted him is gone. The guy that didn't bring in valid competition for him only has his job because he agreed to enable the Bryce Young experiment.
  14. The red flags were all over his game tape. Also he might be a good guy, but I just wish he was off my team.
  15. It tells me you're not a competitor. You don't want to go out there and put your numbers up for all to see against your peers? Weak.
  16. Of the two, the defence is the far better unit in terms of bang for your buck. All of the resources are in the offence - and the QB is absolutely tanking that unit. If Evero was giving up 26 points a game with us having used the last 4 first round picks on D I'd be complaining. He's been given scraps and expected to field a competent unit. Scourton is the first high pick we've used on D since Horn.
  17. He's out of contract and doesn't want to be here anyway. His historically bad defence had historically bad talent on it by the way.
  18. I think the main reason is the lad wearing #9 that we sold the farm for.
  19. He also came from a very simple system.
