  1. No, you're right. The Bucs were right on the cusp of a Super Bowl before Brady arrived
  2. Good luck to him. If you're dumb enough to sleep with him I have no sympathy for you.
  3. Sorry, which one is currently playing in the Super Bowl?
  4. Yeah, athlete is the wrong word. Vick is probably the most ridiculous athlete I've ever seen.
  5. I don't get to watch the Super Bowl adverts in the UK. I'm almost sad.
  6. You realise he's in his 10th Super Bowl, right?
  7. Five years ago we shat the bed and lost to the corpse of Peyton Manning. The franchise has never recovered from that.
  8. So two guys who are on the verge of retiring and a reclamation project. Lovely.
  9. I'm bored enough to look. His trade history: Josh McCown for a 7th rounder (2008) JJ Jansen for a 7th rounder (2009) Greg Olsen for a 3rd rounder (2011) Colin Jones for a 7th rounder (2012) Bruce Campbell for Mike Goodson (2012) Corey Robinson for a 7th rounder (2018) Marshall Newhouse for a 7th rounder (2018) Torrey Smith for Daryl Worley (2018) He actually appears to be a pretty savvy trader and would be offering nickels on the dollar for these QBs.
  10. I'm honestly only tuning in to see what The Weeknd spent $7m of his own money on.
  11. I wouldn't give up anything like that. He's on Year 4 (as a 1st round pick he has an option for a 5th year at a reduced rate). So if he turns into something you'll quickly have to PAY him. Considering the fact that he's floundered for 3 years and is pretty much a reclamation project at this point, why would you give up such a valuable pick? That said the QB market is fuging nuts right now so who knows.
  12. Stafford wasn't available last year. Neither was Watson. Neither was Wentz (if we get involved). Neither was Darnold. It's a different world - and this coming from someone who loathes Hurney.
  13. Because it's just eternally kicking the can down the road.
  14. People are reading far too much into this. Any offer for a QB trade has to take into account Bridgewater's contract. We couldn't (and shouldn't) carry Bridgewater and whoever we traded to replace him as the starter - take this one, that would be $40m tied up in the QB position. For the Lions there was the possibility that we could package Bridgewater in the deal. For others we'd have to move him separately. I'd love to know what Bridgewater is thinking about this offseason so far - our FO has clearly mentally moved on from him, if not physically.
  15. Top 3 player to pull on a jersey for us. He's a first ballot Hall of Famer for mine.
  16. Again this is why Draft season is so intriguing. I disagree with your posts about Fields and Jones. To me, Fields comes from a one read system - Ohio St are notorious for only asking their QB to read half the field and, if nothing is there immediately, to take off. Jones ran a much more complex system at Alabama and was asked to process a lot of information. You don't throw 40+ TDs, hold off a 5 star QB and appease Sarkisian (now the Texas HC) and Saban if you're a limited QB during a National Title run. Sarkisian's system was sensational and obviously Jones is surrounded by NFL talent, but the dude just went out there an executed. Bottom line. TL;DR: Fields is a fantastic athlete for the QB position who still has question marks for me concerning his ability to see the field. Jones barely clears the bar athletically as an NFL QB, but clearly processes the field well.
  17. We're not in a position to take on a $25m a year salary and eat the cap hit of trading Bridgewater. We're struggling to resign Moton as it is.
  18. Dude has a SB ring and $78m (before tax) in his bank account. He's doing fine.
  19. I've worked at three different companies during my time. I've never seen an ounce of loyalty - everyone moves on if a better opportunity arises. Hell most are actively seeking out those better opportunities. It's just the way of the world these days.
