I cannot imagine what the conversations were like with Bryce and Tepper.

He doesn't have what it going to take to pull this team out of last place if that's how he intends to play. From here on his fate here is dependent on what Dalton is able to do.

No that's a knee-jerk reaction based on emotions. If he's not a cancer he's just been demoted to backup. Sucks for him but it's justified. He will compete with whoever is brought in next year and stay the backup until someone blows us away with a good offer. As long as he's cool, we are cool. That's the only smart option and best option for now. Fans may want him off the team but that not happening unless we get an offer we can't refuse. If they dump him now it's just more of the same disfunction which is probably what they will do.

Only he can control that now. He's got to compete for a starting role here or wherever he ends up.

Nothing surprises me at this point. Whatever they do I expect it to end in disaster. If they draft another qb I expect it to be the wrong guy. It's how we roll.

It goes back to the disfunction inside the building. Everything they did was a disaster in some way or another. The questions are endless and the answers all circle right back to the decision makers. Whatever decision that had a major impact to the future of the team was wrong and ended in disaster.

Don't speak it into existence.

That's only a last resort thing. It would have to be to sign someone to hold the clipboard. I dint see that happening this season. It would make more sense to call up Jack on pray that whoever is starting stays healthy. If not, they are forced to run, run, run, punt Foxball the rest of the way.

I can get on board with Hooker or even Milton. Howell I needed to be convinced it's an improvement over the other 2. But I'm biased because UNC is a mortal enemy and anything coming out of there is a hell no to me. I bleed UK blue.

I honestly think they keep him another year and try to move him before year 4 of his contract. They really don't need to do anything unless he becomes a locker room problem.

I mean he really doesn't have a choice right now. I think Plummer only gets a shot at backup if Andy gets hurt and Bryce has to start. He has no shot at starting unless both are injured or Bryce is so bad he asks to be benched and Andy is on IR.

You can't escape destiny.

Either way it takes him out of day to day operations. He can find executives but he couldn't pick a coach or GM if he was handed a short list. He needs to be out of those decisions altogether.

He's not selling it so our only hope is that he hires someone to run things that know how to run a successful team. That person would hire and fire all the staff and everyone answers to that person. All Dave needs to do is go to the games and write the checks. He also needs to keep his mouth shut.

But when you have a GM and/or owner who ignore the scouts and go their own way it doesn't matter.

Canales said it in the presser when he announced Bryce be benched that Bryce would be the backup.

He's also pretty good with a Playstation controller I hear.

I'm not so sure we have. It's a long season and it's just got started. This team still may not win a single game. Tepper may fire everyone before the season is over. You know he's capable and more than willing to pull the trigger. No my friend, we've not seen bottom yet.

I don't see that much left in him but what is left it's not good enough for what this team needs. I think the entire qb room get replaced before camp.

If they do it will be after the draft and they take a qb. They are in deep doo doo with the qb position. I wouldn't expect Andy to be back if he plays the rest of the season. That would wring every ounce of juice he has left out of him. That means you need a starter and a backup, again.

I've said that since the day he bought the team. Tepper needs to realize that he needs someone who knows how to find the right people in charge of this team and only talk to that person. He needs to stay the f**k out of the day to day operations. And most importantly the Monday morning coaches meeting is the dumbest thing ever. Stop it.

It's likely he plays again this season and it will be just good enough for them to think he might be good enough to sell later. As a starter here long term is not happening. Not unless he finds some mojo while waiting for Andy to get crushed. There will be another qb or 2 added in the offseason and 1of them will be expected to start. Young will not be one of them, unless he finds a witch doctor.

He's got until the end of his 3rd season to show something. That's what those other guy were given. But those teams drafted or signed a replacement after their 2nd season. Bryce didn't even get that far before he was benched, rightfully so. It just highlights how bad this organization has been run. Whether you want to call it ineptitude or misfortune it's been spiraling out of control for far too long under the new guys watch.

The only problem is Andy is not capable of lighting anyone up anymore. The more likely outcome is that Andy plays ok but nothing special. They still lose and the Panthers still look like idiots. So no, a knee-jerk trade is the last thing they need to do.
