They will take Stroud and only Stroud if they move up. Front office and scouts love him and it's expected that the Panthers will try to trade up for him

To add to that, since they aren't trading for Payton, expect them to go all in to move up for Stroud. Front office is in love with his as a prospect

I also think that Breer in his mmfb said Reich was leader right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's the choice.

If the rumors from Denver are correct I think it's down to Shaw and Quinn there. But yea the Panthers have been tight lipped.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a second as well, especially with Payton likely being out and his interview being good. I think it's pretty much down to the grouping of experienced HC's. Which is kinda what I expected when the search started.

If Payton is out because of off-field concerns from the Panthers front office (current rumor) probably a fact as well. Then you might get a hire today from Reich or Wilks. (I'd bet on Wilks if it's down to those two, which seems a possibility right now)

It was always going to be a experienced coach after the Rhule experiment. Why I said yesterday that I'd expected Wilks, Reich, Payton to get second interviews and Steichen if he agreed to the front office Coordinator plans for a younger coach.

Rumors going around that Wilks, Steichen, Payton and Reich will get second interviews. Don't know the validity but likely the coach is from those 4.

Josina is still saying the report from yesterday that the Broncos don't know who's making 2nd round interviews still stands tonight after that came out.

What I meant was that's it for his interviews and if someone is going to jump out in front or he decides on returning to Fox that I think it will happen quickly.

Once Arizona gets that interview out of the way, the Payton situation I think settles fairly quickly.

I would put Steichen as the favorite unless Tepper speeds up and goes with Payton (who I think he's interested in, but not sure how much) Also not a lot making it out of Carolina's hiring group like it is with Denver. So who knows what's going on with the Panthers search.

The only team that wasn't at least for Payton got a zoom call.

If he wanted the power everyone thinks he wants, he wouldn't be flying to Arizona and interviewing with a team that just hired a new GM that is going to have roster control.
