  1. Pretty sure that's how Wilks wants it. Run the ball, defense and time of possession.
  2. Tony White and not Phil Snow as DC.... consider me absolutely shocked.
  3. I knew the whole thing was going south when they cut Cam and brought in Teddy.
  4. He's going to be closer to TJ Watt then Chubb. 70-80m in guarantees and 28m a season.
  5. 141m over 5 years, 36m guaranteed. Be my guess on a contract for Burns. :shrugs:
  6. Oh and based off his contract structure, Carolina still owes Rhule 12 million dollars.
  7. Not quite what's going to happen according to everything being reported today. Panthers will pay his first full year of Salary at Nebraska at least, if not more. Nebraska also had to reach an agreement with Carolina as well
  8. His Carolina contract also increased his level of attractiveness to Alberts. Rhule signed a seven-year, $62 million deal in 2020 and is owed more than $40 million through the end of the deal. Any salary paid to Rhule by his next employer is subtracted from the amount owed by the Panthers, so the program could get a relative bargain in Rhule — for the first four seasons of his deal. https://theathletic.com/3935643/2022/11/25/matt-rhule-nebraska-coaching/
  9. From the athletic article on the hiring. Says part of the reason the AD at Nebraska wanted Rhule was because of the Panthers contract making him a relative bargain the first 4 years.
  10. And because of his contract here, the Panthers are basically paying him to coach at Nebraska the first 4 years.
  11. Apparently they offered him a contract earlier in November and he turned it down, they came back this week with a bigger # and more years plus more assistant money and he accepted. I'd not be shocked if it's like 8+m a season plus 4-5m for assistants. Lol
  12. It's true, it's been announced a few times now by people close to the program.
  13. Do what??? The success rate (average starter for 4 years) is like 60% in round 1, 50% in round 2, high 30's in round 3 at best depending on position. An average to good draft gets 1-2 players at best that stick with a team past the rookie contract. The rate of a 3rd rounder getting a second deal with any team is around 45%. Round 2 is 65% to get a second deal. 21% of all draft picks become average starters or better based on AV. 2nd and 3rd round picks not being starters and being out of the league in 4 years is more likely than getting a starter from either of those rounds. I like the McCaffery trade but the averages say those picks probably don't turn into any starters at all.
  14. If Chubb got 24m per, Burns is gonna get 27-30m per. Yeesh
  15. They must've not counted one of the fumbles, he's only got one listed right now. 23 touches for 177 yards 3 td's
  16. Cause if you kick a fg and miss it, the defense gets the ball. No matter the down
  17. Lmfao Don't go for the win and played for the fg to win and that's what you get. This is wild
