  1. My initially impression was that he was a bit nervous (completely understandable and not negative) as he was speaking very fast. However if he was nervous, he was always in control and appeared poised. Answers were genuine and sincere. Seems like a good dude and will be happy to pull for him.
  2. I don’t know that we would pivot from strategy based on a draft pick. my general sense is reacting to a divisional rivals draft pick is overreacting.
  3. I would like to get value at either TE WR or DE. Not sure if that is thru 39 trade up or trade back. I will trust the powers that be though. Since I’ve listed these 3 positions I’m sure we’ll take some other position. Just elated we have settled on a QB.
  4. I think draft grades are highly subjective and pretty much all of them should be TBD. It’s all speculation followed by selective memory of “ I told you this guy was going to be good” while not remembering the 20 other guys you wanted that busted out. I enjoy reading draft grades but mostly for entertainment value.
  5. If my coveted long snapper is there in the 7th (I dont think we currently have a 7th but I have faith in Fitt) and we are fortunate enough to grab him I will consider the draft and off-season a success thus far.
  6. Pretty true comment. I'd say that if this happens there will also be plenty of other people with warm posteriors as well. Probably not as hot as Fitts but there could be some awkward elevator rides.
  7. The “sign Cam and draft bpa” dude gonna be homeless come Friday morning.
  8. The picks are very solid assuming no trades. But I take exception to anyone saying this is the final time I can mock Joe Person. That’s completely absurd.
  9. Yeah. I think the only real drama is at 39. The likelihood of us taking AR at #1 (which is incredibly low IMO) is a much higher probability than trading out. I saw draft day too but it was a movie.
  10. I often make conversation over drinks by making inquisitive stupid comments that are just absurd. I’ve never thought of writing them down and posting them in a forum…
  11. Not confident that the FO is reporting final draft decisions to Smitty so he can throw out Easter eggs on a podcast. I could be wrong.
  12. https://www.yogawinetravel.com/things-to-do-in-alacati-turkey/ My wife went to Turkey last year and loved it. Very affordable vacation. Ironically I was talking to one of my clients who n the UK and his brother left the UK and retired in Turkey. I’ve never been but might have to at least perform some due diligence. I never gave them t a thought before her trip. And the country “Turkey” is spelled “Türkiye” in Turkish which is why they changed the spelling.
  13. Yeah. This is well said. It’s a big elephant in the room that everybody points at every chance they get. And still, there’s a group of people in the Carolina FO and coaching staff who really know football that are looking at that elephant and saying “ok, yep” then shrug and run up to the podium to call his name despite that. I’m good with it.
  14. I take exception to the nonsense that Byron Bell was disappointing. The fact the franchise had to put him in the position of playing starter roles is the disappointment. When I look back on Bell I think he made the most of his time in the NFL. Undrafted and played about 7ish seasons. Dude should have been a good go-to bottom of the roster rotation guy and should never have been a starter. That was not his fault. So as far as the glass half full goes, my cup runneth over for Byron Bell's football career.
  15. If I read it on the Google it must be true...
  16. I think its overstated somewhat and I don't think that you can take it literally, but the SEC is probably the closest measuring stick.
  17. Folks seem to be tiptoeing around it but it is much easier to say out loud. Apologies but I am not one for inference so I am seeking guidance. Based on originally post and follow up are u saying BY is has great traits but is small and will therefore have knee problems? That may be a tad too specific, so to broaden it, are you implying that he may just not work out because he is short? If so, I am glad you brought that up. It’s about time someone did. Kudos for bringing up the topic no one else would.
  18. I agree that Chuba can run and has some playmaking ability. We jut need a decent rotation but he can definitely contribute.
  19. Hopefully the Panthers FO is performing due diligence that includes reading this message board. There are so many warnings, well thought out points and rational conclusions regarding the QBs and would hate for them to miss out on such sage advice.
